- Bass fishing in Cornwall has been at its finest recently, I have had some of the best bass fishing I've seen for a long time in the last 2 weeks. Bass are fantastic fish to catch. I love bass of any size, such a stunning looking fish and fight with such attitude. Here I fish with a new type of lure (it’s 2nd proper outing) a Pearl Skerries eel from Sidewinder and it was absolutely killer!! Matched up with my Nomura rod and Abu cardinal spinning reel I fish some patches of reef and had a great mornings sport.
I have been asked to provide a link to the lures I was using. I hope this helps.

- As requested, here is a link to the lures I was using. 😊👍🏻🎣

Hi mate, I'm going down to St mawes in August and have been doing for years, but so far unsuccessful with sea bass and desperate to catch one this year, what are good lures for down there and any good location recommendations! Love your video!
Can somebody explain the idea behind filling the reel with 20lb braid and then attaching a 15lb leader ? Surely the weak spot is the knot or link between leader and braid, which will be less than 15lb. So what is the braid bringing to the party ? I just fill the spool with 17lb Can somebody explain the idea behind filling the reel with 20lb braid and then attaching a 15lb leader ? Surely the weak spot is the knot or link between leader and braid, which will be less than 15lb. So what is the braid bringing to the party ? I just fill the spool with 17lb monofilament which seems to work. No mucking on with knots. What am I missing ?
@@dmp2000uk I wondered the same thing and john answered if you look back in the comments of this vid
You're knocking everyone out of the park with these vids John, the smile on your face when you was catching them bass says it all!!
Shore Fishing Essex - Haha. I’m not sure about that. I get plenty of negative stuff from folks aswell - this vid in particular. I’m still blown away by how well your octopus vid did?!?
I’m glad my mood comes across to viewers. What can I say mate, I love what I do. 😊💙🎣🐟
Anyone who watches your videos can see you're the man to watch amongst all the sea anglers on RUclips in the UK at the moment, that's just plain & simple fact, even the little tip of having your boat facing away from danger is patently obvious but as someone who has never owned a boat before(I would love to one day), this has never entered my head & I won't forget that that tip, it's what RUclips was made for, enjoyable & informative videos!! As for the octopus vid, I think the algorithm train slowed down just long enough for me to jump on & I'm not sure I will ever get on it again!! It was pure good fortune, I released that vid around the same time some other big foreign RUclipsrs were doing the same thing, Ace Videos to be precise but others too, his latest catch & cook octopus vid had 7 million views last time I looked! As far as I was aware I was the first UK RUclipsr to do something similar, when I pulled the plug my subs had tripled & I had 330,000 views on that one vid within around 3 weeks!! You never know, that opportunity might come around again but whatever, I'll have fun trying!!
Shore Fishing Essex - Smash fishing have pretty much built their current subs base around their catch and cook vids all in the last 6 months. They’ve managed to get the big cooking channels with 1m+ subs sharing their vids. 😉👍🏻 If you find some very big tides and want to come down here for a beach cook out let me know.
John, I think you should definitely tap into that mate, now you have the subs & the views you can pretty much fart on tape & people will watch it, your regular viewers might not necessarily appreciate the cooking on the beach thing but I'm sure they realise your abilities in what you normally do to let you delve into something different occasionally, the fact is that the Americans love the shellfish/cooking on the beach type vids, I had people from all over the world subscribed to me last time, the UK sea angling stuff appeals mainly to the Brits & I think you will sweep them all up eventually but the extra subs will come from the rest of the world. I would love to come down to you in the future & do this sort of thing, it would be my pleasure!
Shore Fishing Essex - Send me a a PM on fb mate. 👍🏻😉
Thank you again for another cracking video, just love that type of fishing and looking forward to my trips out in the autumn , thanks for sharing and keep them coming 👍
Stinky Muppet - No problem mate, my pleasure. Just sharing what I love doing and I really enjoyed that session. 😊👍🏻🎣

Ian Phillips - Thanks Ian, it was my pleasure. If you’ve learned something useful from the videos then they’ve been worth doing mate. 👍🏻🎣🐟😊
Watching this again John after many months. Just brilliant mate.
- Thanks Mike. Was a really cracking morning sport. 😊
Watching as much as I can - the sound of the sea - watching you grin ear to ear - thanks for posting these John - I'll be doing some fishing this summer when camping - I'm a complete novice and will just be happy to get out there - gotta start somewhere aye - CHEERS!!!
Wayne Sparrow - If folks are enjoying the videos mate, then they have been worth making. 😊👍🏻🎣
Can't beat your vids, always top quality and informative. As others have said can't beat your enthusiasm too.
kevin buckler - Thanks Kevin, I’m glad you’re finding them good viewing. It’s just me sharing what we love doing. Hopefully it can help folks out 👍🏻🎣😬

stinking polecat - Absolutely mate, just sharing what I love doing. 😊👍🏻🎣🐟💙
Catching bass always brings a smile to your face. Watched all your tube posts and the longest you have been happy is this one, finger aside. Keep it up.
Geoff Streatfield - Haha. It’s just easy fun fishing mate. Other fishing takes more thought and effort I guess. But yes mate, I really enjoyed myself. 😬😬👍🏻🎣
Thank you for your great videos John - picked up good tips on fish finder, launching, bass and mackeral fishing. We can keep a bass between 27" and 40" here in Nova Scotia but we mostly get small schoolies fishing from shore. Going to take some of your advice and try from the boat with lures.
Really enjoyable to see you having fun. So informative too. Thanks for sharing your channel. Have started the back catalog awhile ago as well.
Kevin Johnson - Thats Brilliant Kevin I’m really glad that you are finding the videos good viewing and informative. That’s why I make them. All the best mate. 👍🏻🎣🐟
Great trip again John, cracking video with a stunning backdrop.
Can't think of anything better, nice and quiet, your own company...... and 10 bass before breakfast!
Colin Goodland - You couldn’t make up a better morning could you mate?! Absolutely magic!! 😊👍🏻🎣🐟
Your videos are seriously interesting, knowledgeable and entertaining, I believe the future of The Fish Locker channel could become massive. I certainly hope so! Thumbs up!

Paul whitemore - Thanks Paul, it was a great little session. The perfect way to spend a morning. 👍🏻🎣
I was sitting here cheering for every cast. Those fish had you wound up tighter than an eight day clock. Like a kid at Christmas. Great video.
Isotelus - It was just one of those sessions that leaves you absolutely beaming!! Cracking fishing and my ideal conditions. Great fun on the balanced gear and even though I ended up with about 15 holes in my hands from the spines I loved every second!! 💙🎣👍🏻🐟😊
Great tip with using the forceps to remove your hook. Loving the tips on boat placement near The cliffs as well Thanks for the video
Richy Parton - No problem at all Richy, glad you liked the video - and found it informative. 😉 Hopefully theres a few more vids on the channel you’ll enjoy. Tight lines. 👍🏻🎣😬
Good angling John! Great to see the bass fishing being that prolific
The Hooky 2 - A matter of waiting for the right conditions mate. Like the planets aligning, everything fell into place. 😉👍🏻🎣
Great video John, it’s great to see the look on your face, can see that you’re loving it and that’s what matters is to have some fun
adolfo francisco - That is so true mate. Number 1 thing about fishing is to make sure you’re enjoy yourself. 👍🏻🎣😉
Fantastic session, Bass are great fun
JP - They sure are mate. Great little morning session. 👍🏻🎣🐟
Love it John, your a very lucky man to live where you do👊🤙🤙
Robert Howard - Thanks Rob. I don’t live here by accident. 😉😛👍🏻🎣
Great to see fish returned. Well done!!
Joe Hawkins - Thanks Joe, as you will see in all of our videos we try and return everything we can ( except maybe a haddock 😬🍽 ) probably 95% of the fish we catch are quickly returned. Especially bass as the stocks are still low. 😉🎣
i always liked to use sidwinders over rocks and even wrecks on the west coast of Ireland they always worked well im still green with envy keep up the good work and keep me smiling with your enthusiasm
Paul Clarke - Thanks Paul. You’ve got some great fishing over that way. I’m waiting for the water quality here to improve so I can get the lures out on the wrecks for the Pollack. Tight lines bud 👍🏻🎣🐟
No better feeling....Whaaa! Fish on, this one's diggin' hard!
- The tug is the drug mate!! I LOVE IT!!!

Martin Roberts - No problem Martin. Glad you enjoyed the vid. 👍🏻🎣
Brilliant video
Another great day mate great fun to watch 👍👍👍👍👍
This was a fantastic mornings sport. 😊
Great video John. I picked up a pack of the pearl skerries eel's last week and had a 70cm bass Friday and 2 40cm bass this morning. I only got out for an hour and a half each trip so not too bad. Nice one for the tips keep up the good work.! 🎣
Ray Vaughn - Thats Brilliant mate, I’m really pleased you found the vid helpful and it’s great to hear the lures are producing for you. If you have any good pics you should send them to sidewinder along with you message above. They’ll love to hear that!! 😊👍🏻🎣🐟💙
I can't watch you throw such beautiful fishes back in the water!!
If I kept every one there would be none left. 😊
Just found your videos absolutely the dogs enjoying going through them cheers Kida.
David Markall - Now then David, welcome to the channel. I hope you enjoy getting stuck into the vids. 👍🏻 Any questions just give me a comment on the video. 😉🎣🐟
Fantastic knowledge to be learned off this guy 👏👏👏
- Thank you Darren. 😊
@@TheFishLocker You should be thinking about investing in a bigger boat and chartering. Thank you again for your great videos and spending the time to explain in depth. Anyway must go as I have a few more to watch. 👍
Excellent John, my favourite way to catch bass, had a 7 1/2 pounder this morning. 🎣🎣🎣👍👍👍
gary murray - Cracking stuff mate. I don’t fish with lures a lot but when I do this is one of my favourite ways. 👍🏻🎣😉🐟
Wonderful fish John what a session !.
A real treat thanks from Gummy.
Gerald Swain - Thanks Gerald, glad you enjoyed the vid mate. 👍🏻🎣
Brilliant fishing, the bass fishing in perranporth has been great recently too and I was lucky to catch an 8lb beast...great video I love watching them 🙌🎣
Jamie Rogers - Brilliant stuff Jamie. Bet that was a beauty!!! Glad you enjoyed the vid. 👍🏻🎣😊
A golden tip - 24 mins in vid; Terrain above sea, cliffs/steep/slack/ clay etc, will likely be the same under sea-level.
Never thought about it before, but sooooo logical.
Thanks for sharing with us. I appreciate your time.
Derek Allport - No problem at all Derek. Tight lines mate. 👍🏻🎣🐟
Nice work! Top water casting for striped bass and bluefish when the birds are going mental is my favorite type of fishing - so much fun (New England).
James Sullivan - It is so exciting isn’t it!! 😆🎣🐟
Great video John and cracking fishing, some nice Bass there...
Eddie Butler SHOCK-WAVES - Thanks Eddie, glad you enjoyed the vid. I do love my boat fishing. 👍🏻🎣
I think I've watched this video 3 or 4 times it's one of my favourites cuz it looks alot like the coast line where I worked on a charter boat many years ago, the outcrop of rock looks almost identical to the back end of our little island called the calf of man, its a tiny little island with one old farm house with one occupant who studies the bird life and tags them on the island and in good weather they do day trips but I just worked around the tiny island on the charter boat great fishing but also saw Basking shark's an orca whale and dolphins, its a lovely place if you ever get a free weekend you should come over and sample some of the sights n fishing, I'm really lucky to live on the isle of man I never take it for granted the beauty of this place is stunning.
Awesome. This was one of my very early ones. I’m glad you like it.
Tightlines as always John. Well you definitely were there :) Cracking session. Well done mate!
Colin Philpott - Thanks Colin, I tried a bit of underwater footage on a session like this. Was a bit difficult but we’ll see how it comes out in the next vid. 😉👍🏻🎣
@@TheFishLocker you love a challenge :)
Great video john look forward to seeing your vids pop up 👌🎣
darren rodd - Thanks Darren. Glad you’re finding them good viewing. 👍🏻🎣😬
Brilliant video, very informative and equally enjoyable, subbed immediately!
Dean Barnett - Glad you enjoyed it Dean - and found it interesting. 😉👍🏻🎣 Tight lines. 😬
Brilliant bit of fishing John. Love those bass! Nothing better for an early morning fish. Great video buddy. All the best Graham.
Graham Allen - Thankyou Graham, I do love an early morning session. The best part of the day to be out on the boat. Especially when you’re fishing. 😊👍🏻🎣
🎣🐟👍
Got to hand it to you, you certainly find the fish. Great video.
Mike Dixon - Haha. Thanks Mike. Just lucky I guess 😉👍🏻🎣
not jealous…..not jealous...not jealous...cracking vid mate
stuart grampa bruce - Haha. Nothing to be jealous of mate. Everyone has their lucky days. 👍🏻🎣😉
I enjoyed that thanks for posting it up....
- No problem at all, I have another lure vid going up soon just need to find the time to do all the editing. Tight lines.
cracking mornings fishing !!!!!!!!!!
david cole - It absolutely was mate. Loved it!! 👍🏻👍🏻🎣🎣🐟🐟
Nice session John
Had 7 over 3 evenings with my lad the other day all on savage gear sand eels dirty black & blue 21g tried fiiish minnows & skerries with no luck caught one on a hard plastic . Bass were feeding on white bait they regurgitated as I revived them in rock pools . The lad blanked on his first session then had Three the next evening his first ever bass 44cm he was absolutely frothing. Thanks for sharing your morning with us
Hokimai Productions - Mate that is a stonking great fish for your lads first!!! He must still be on cloud nine!! If you have any good clean pics send them over to the Fishlocker fb page and I’ll give him a shout out if you want? 👍🏻🎣
Cracking Bass session, black minnow works well down my way South Wales, well produced vlog 👍👌
Jason Devlin - Thanks Jason, black minnows are great lures for gettibgbthe bites down here aswell but I find them too soft. A good fish can destroy them in a single chomp. 🤷🏻♂️🎣👍🏻
Looked like you enjoyed that session, well done mate cannot beat light gear for bass
remi naftel - Remi I am so so glad you recommended them to me. Those lures are killer!! This is actually the second session with them. You get an honourable mention in the first it just took more editing so will be up in a couple of weeks. 😉👍🏻🎣
Another great watch and I've just bought some sidewinders on your recommendation.
Sam TheMan - Thanks Sam. You’ll have to send me some pics of the fish they catch. 😉👍🏻🎣
you are loving that mate well done
nigel simon - I love all fishing mate. But every now and then you have a day when you LOVE IT!!! Haha. Tight lines Nigel. 👍🏻🎣😉🐟
Great vid again John
John Wavebuster - Thanks John. Tight lines mate. 👍🏻🎣
Love the Sidewinder super slims sand-eels in natural .
CARRINGTON GROUP - I prefer natural colours aswell mate. 👍🏻🎣
That was a hugely successful mornings fishing John. There were some smaller size Bass but there were some really good size, more often than not. If I ever had a fishing trip half as successful as this trip for you, I would have had to take some of the larger Bass home if for no other reason than I would have been in a state of shock to have 'caught fish' let alone fish of that size. Great video John with the normal fantastic, relaxed commentary plus great information. I love the fact that you are an 'open book' when it comes to facts & fishing tips. Cheers to all, Don from South Aust.
We/I am simply sharing what I know and love doing. 😊🎣
You are the best please keep them coming Garry IRELAND
garry campbell - Thankyou Garry. 😊 Just sharing what I love doing mate. Tight lines buddy. 👍🏻🐟🎣
Brilliant stuff! Well fished & well filmed. My family have properties near Falmouth, can’t wait to try your techniques. Catch & release, minor regulated-harvest, is the only way forward for the U.K. to regain it’s marine ecosystem, which might only be 30yrs in some fisheries.
Peter Thomson - Thank you Peter. The worst thing that is happening to our coastal fisheries is the foreign plunder as everyone scrambles around post Brexit. The recreational sector don’t even make a dent, even if I kept 50% of everything I ever catch in the year, I wouldn’t equal the discard from one commercial trawler in 1 trip. And the UK Fleet is so diluted that they could fish their whole current quotas and it would still be a vast VAST reprieve for the fish stocks.
Really good video enjoyed
Jeffrey Thomas - Thanks Jeffrey. Tight lines. 👍🏻🎣🐟
Some quality fish there mate, well done 👍🏻
Audrius Palaima - Thankyou very much. 👍🏻🎣
Never tried lures for bass, always used live sand eels, learnt something today, thanks
- The right lures in the right conditions is deadly. ;)
John I can not tell you how much I enjoy All of your content absolute class mate 👍🎣
Nathan Dodd - Thankyou very much Nathan. Really pleased to hear that. I hope it’s been helpful to you. 👍🏻🎣🐟💙😊
It has I fish out of Guernsey not long put the little boat down an your content has been a great help not only that the videos are my TV time like i said class hat off to you mate👍
Nathan Dodd - Have you watched Troj’s fishing he's a boat angler down your way. 😉👍🏻
@@TheFishLocker o yes you trojs inglorious an smash all class an a couple of others I can only imagine how much time an effort goes into it all fair play dont know how you find the time but I'm so glad you do
I'm itching to get out my self we have had some bad weather lately but half day Tomorrow so 🤞all the best look forward to the next one
Nathan Dodd - Well best of luck mate. 👍🏻🎣🐟
Cracking bit fishing mate, I'm defo going to grab a few of them lures 👍🏻
Peanut Butter - They’ve been absolutely slaying it for me lately mate. 👍🏻🎣
Some stunning Bass mate, some tears I'm sure from fish eaters watching those early ones go back, but good on you
you can't please everyone can you mate. More to catch another day. 😉
What a great session John. Cherish those days as they don't come along very often, well not for me anyway 😊
mr wildgoose - Haha. I love all of it mate. But every now and then you do have an extra special session. 😉👍🏻🎣🐟
John you have got me fishing... Thank you for all the tip's in the video's you upload. I'm off to "Cresswell" tomorrow taking "the fish locker" tip's with me..Cheers from way up north 👍
- I wish you the very best of luck Andrew. Tight lines and let us know how you get on. :)
@@TheFishLocker I'm back and sad to say a "blank" for me....... But i did find a washed up flatty. So i used it for bait. I will be watching "the fish locker" vids again lol 👍
Awesome stuff mate 🎣
- Thanks mate. All the best.
Great video as usual, you really are a great fisherman!
One thing I would like to suggest, I watch lots of videos on woodwork and other subjects, in those videos they put links to the equipment used so people can purchase the same items. I know it takes time but it is of great benefit to viewers. Also you will get offers of sponsorship from the producers of the products. I fish on marks close to Plymouth sound. Keep up the great work.
Mark Courtney - Thnk you very much Mark. I have put the tackle I use in the video description. 😉 I do tag the occasional link for tackle I use. Usually I pin the post in the comments. 👍🏻🎣
Top fisherman mate hooked on these videos am in Liverpool got the mersey close by
- Great to hear it Michael, glad you're enjoying them. Water clarity's a bit different here than the Mersey. :P
I've lived in Spain for the past 20yrs. Your video has reminded me how much I miss the traditional methods back home. Cracking content. PS, I use a drogue to great effect when I want to slow down my drift over a favoured mark.
John Rickards - Glad I could take you down memory lane John. Drougues are useful when running an open ground drift but when this close to the cliffs it’s just a potential complication in my eyes. Definitely useful if drifting over wrecks and big reefs in open water though. 👍🏻🎣
Yeah, believe it or not, I keep forgetting we've got no tide here on the Med. I only use mine to deal with wind drift.
It's a two / two-and-a-half hour trip to the sea for me, and life's pretty busy, so I don't get to go fishing as often as I'd like. It's great to see someone getting (and making the most) of the opportunities to get out.
Good fishing, John.
JackRoadkill - Wow. I guess you really need to try and make sure the conditions are spot on so your trip is worth while! All the best mate. 👍🏻🎣
@@TheFishLocker I tend to have to go when I can, rather than when it's ideal, unfortunately. Still, I certainly won't catch anything if I stay at home, so I enjoy it regardless. Thanks John.
JackRoadkill - 100% right mate. You won’t catch if you don’t try!! 😉🎣
Good stuff John, the silver bar's do like early morning's m8.
David Booth - A culmination of the right conditions. 😉👍🏻🎣🐟
Nice vid man!!
Rhys Fishes - Thankyou very much. 😉👍🏻🎣🐟
thx you thx you ..not got out all yr so that was something special for me ...
flea rider - Well I am very pleased that you enjoyed the video then. Just sharing what I love doing mate. Tight lines 😬👍🏻🎣
another brill vid well done
robert mansfield - Thanks Rob. All the best to you and your good lady. 😊👍🏻🎣
Nice one, I'm having the first week in July off to go lure fishing around Pembrokeshire and gower 👍
Good luck. 😊
My all-time favourite lure is the Sidewinder pearl eel, but I'm surprised to see it working so well in bright sunny conditions. We normally go out in dull and rougher seas, and the pearls do really well. Recently I used a much larger lure (can't remember if it was a sidewinder or not) in speckled green/silver, and let it sink down lower just off some rocks with extremely rough water about, and hooked up two lovely Bass of over 7 lbs. I find the pearls do well in darker conditions. In brighter skies/waters I find the darker lures work better. But hey! You caught a load there!
- I agree, generally speaking dark days a lighter coloured lure and on bright days a dark lure. But there is always that one day that will prove the complete opposite.Haha
Hello. I found you video's about a week ago and I have to say I absolutely love them. I was based down in Plymouth about 10 12 years ago. I am a course fisherman and wanted to get into sea fishing. It is a whole different ball game. I wish I could have learnt from someone as yourself back then as your video's are very imformative with lots of tips. I have learnt a lot. Since finding you I have subscribed and am addicted to watching your vids. I look forward to seeing more and more as time goes on. I feel I spired to get out sea fishing again and put many of your tips and lessons I have learnt from you to the test. I also love to see you getting out there and sharing it with your family. Great videos please keep it up. Thank you
P.S. if you are ever in the Midlands I would love to take you out for some Barbel fishing and go over the methods I use and repay what I have learnt from you. Thanks again
Marris Gaming - It’s fantastic to hear that you are finding the videos so informative. That is why we made them. 😊👍🏻🎣 We all love getting amongst it. Good luck when you get out fishing. I’m keen to do some barbel fishing at some point. Never really done any properly, only Stillwater barbel when I was a lad. Tight lines mate. 👍🏻🎣🐟

I am going out tomorrow and yes we all love to get amongst it. Would love to show you some photos of some of my captures.

Great will do.
Superb John. Nowt better than Sea Bass. Well done.
Andrew Dudman - Thanks Andrew, yes I do love a good spikey. Great looking fish and so full of attitude. More and more showing up your way lately. 😉👍🏻🎣🐟
Lovely fish. Nothing like some early morning bass fishing boat or shore. I try different lures on different days some days sidewinders are awesome other days they wont touch them and that's bass fishing.
Trojs Fishing - The day previous I had tried everything in my lure box and and found that. Some they wouldn’t touch and as soon as you swap back “BANG. Fish on!!!” Crazy isn’t it!!! Look forward to seeing your vid mate 😉👍🏻🎣🐟
Thanks for the reply, will certainly let you know how I get on with the new lures and send some pics..
I usually use either bar spinners or eddy jellys that look like sandeel with a curled red tail, both work well if the fish are feeding but as u know some days nothing works and other days you hook up nearly every cast. Another great video , I always enjoy seeing what you catch , you definitely have a few species down Cornwall that we don't get like John dorey, I don't know anyone who's caught one of them and we definitely don't get tuna well not anymore after years of over fishing their's not enough shoals of herring passing through which the tuna follow, things are getting better though due to no tow zones and no netting areas it's given some species chance to recover.
👍🏻
Quality Sesh .. indeed . Have to say you have great balance standing up whilst being bobbed about by the strong current , Ever been out and been hit by a freak wave ? . When you mention the sight of a Seal ?.
The times am down at Ayr on another Photo Op . At the harbour wall which is a haven for people fishing on whilst at the same time a Seal made itself known in the same patch of water . From what i saw the ones i saw fishing were having little success . I guess it's a hit n miss situation
Yesterday whilst down at Troon taking some pics the weather wasn't exactly tickety boo .Strong Norwesterly wind was brutal just whipping up the water .
There was a chap fishing at the edge of the Rockface when i moved down to where he was just at the back of him setting up my Camera the waves crashing in and cracking him . I was very surprised that he was lucky not to have been swept off into the Sea he defo had balls of steel .
colintraveller - Sea legs take time to achieve. 😉👍🏻🌊 I am not a fan of seals. The worst thing that has happened to the inshore fishing in recent years is the seals. Too many are being hand reared, rescued etc and then released. They are now associating humans with food. They are also buggers for taking fish from fishermen’s nets and lines. 😡🎣🐟
@@TheFishLocker The interference by sections of society in Nature in more ways than one is the cause of more problems than they are willing to even admit .
Wonderful miss it already ,the bay was full of sand-eel when we were there !!
CARRINGTON GROUP - Sandeels and whitebait. The place was lifting with them at one point. 👍🏻🎣
great vid
Thank you.
Why would you want to be anywhere else in the world 👍🏴🎣 Heaven
Ken Dodge - Absolutely. I don’t live there by accident mate. 😉😛👍🏻🎣🐟
Looks like a really fun session John. The bass were hammering that lure. I use to pike fish a lot and a great believer in using a big lure. Give them something to look at .. if they are hungry or aggressive they will go for it...😃
Richard Steel - Absolutely true Steve. I’ve had some great Pike on some well weird coloured lures. They really are aggressive aren’t they!!! 😆👍🏻🎣🐟
@@TheFishLocker Strangely I have also had 3lb chub and brown trout on a 10" firetiger colour jerkbait which must just be an aggression attack.
This is what heaven looks like 👍
Pretty damn close isn’t it.
👍👍well done mate 👍👍
Russell Hallam - Thanks Russel. 👍🏻🎣
Another great tutorial ty
My pleasure 😊
I have been and had a bit of a fish earlier, and had 2 gilthead's nothing massive but both around the one pound, also lots of school bass.all went back, and all fish caught on rag/squid cocktail
Kevin Whitaker - Sounds like a good little session mate. Cracking looking fish aren’t they them gilts.👍🏻🎣
A lovely morning goes to plan for sure...
leonard whelehan - It’s fantastic when it all works out isn’t it. 👍🏻🎣
@@TheFishLocker Yeah great session man...
Emmet Envy yet again John. Sorted my 20 hour shift blues that did. Know the venue and yak it when I'm down and I'm with you that its a "bassy" spot. I have no issue getting the Pollock and Wrasse there so to see the bars coming out adds weight. Anyone would think a galleon went down there with that much silver about. Keep 'em coming, but leave one for my visit in 2 weeks :-)
HUBBY - TUB - Between me and you mate, it’s all about a culmination of the right conditions. 😉🎣👍🏻
hi John, recently stumbled onto your videos...and I`m smiling to myself as I`ve spent some considerable time down your neck of the woods. I`ve been holidaying on the Roseland for a few years now and love it ! I take my 6.2 metre power boat down and take a mooring in St Just creek and spent most days fishing, potting and foraging with my missus for most of the time I`m down there. I recognise most of the spots where you frequent and I`m really jealous of the leisure time you have ...lolI love know some of the specific marks you use for catching decent bass...?
James Pollard - It is a wonderful place down here isn’t it. I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. If you do recognise the marks, don’t publicise the name or location. Those who know know. 😉👍🏻🎣🐟
