Franz Schubert: Variations on “Trockne Blumen” for flute and piano, D.802
法蘭茲．舒伯特:《飄零的落花》給長笛及鋼琴的主題與變奏曲，編號802
《飄零的落花》主題與變奏曲取材自舒伯特的聲樂套曲─「美麗的磨坊少女」中的第18首。舒伯特用這第18首的旋律來變奏，整首曲子由序奏、主題和七個變奏所組成。七個變奏充分展現長笛吹奏快速音群的能力，音色間的轉變也充分表達每個變奏的特色。
「美麗的磨坊少女」劇情簡介如下:
一名磨坊少年愛上了一位美麗的磨坊少女，少年心有深情，但僅能隱藏愛意，所有內心的戀慕，只能對潺潺流過的小溪傾吐。他含情脈脈，心中希望少女能瞭解他的堅貞忠誠。他欲言又止，只為了明白少女的心意。未料一位獵人橫刀奪愛，少年對於愛情的憧憬一瞬間崩毀。少年憂傷、心碎乃至於投河自盡，滿腹的愁緒徘徊溪畔，伴著溪水流逝...
舒伯特配合德國詩人威廉·米勒詩作的意境，用音樂表達了愛情的喜悅與失去的悲痛之間的情緒轉折。
曲中在大調小調間不斷的轉換，小調代表憂傷的少年，大調則代表快樂的小溪。用小調來比喻現實生活，大調描寫心中的烏托邦。
