I'm thinking Cloud is going to get Sephiroth, Jenova, and the Gi tribe all to the edge of creation and summon both holy and meteor to obliterate them once and for all ~ It'll look like a self-sacrifice, but Aerith will pull him through one of her weird lifestream/multiverse portals at the last second, saving Cloud.

    The only aspect I'd like to change is Aerith's death. Yes one version of her died (main world, Beagle Stamp dog breed) but it would be even more depressing if all versions of her ceased to exist. Sephiroth will not be killed without redemption...without meeting his real mother, Lucrezia and learn the truth of his birth.
    Omni Aerith's death is unlikely, unless there is a multiple ending option. She already sacrificed herself once. She deserves to live...perhaps without memories of Cloud and the others...Again, her dying feels like hope dying. She also can't be forgotten, though her omniscient self will likely end, I believe she will become a normal human, no longer a Cetra...Perhaps someone sacrificing themselves for HER for a change ( Either Cloud or Zack)
    I also vouch for Hojo being the true villain of the game and want to see Glenn Lodbrok's deal unfold. That guy is intriguing.

    • @shaulov10
      @shaulov10  22 дня назад +2

      I don’t think aerith will live. Her death is one of the most important moments in the OG and her being alive would go against the whole theme of loss that the game is about

    • @ChoompaLoompa1985-uw8lw
      @ChoompaLoompa1985-uw8lw 22 дня назад +4

      @@shaulov10 I think the main theme of the game is transcendence and breaking the cycle..,not loss. It comes at a cost, but for the creators, whom like you said, feel they need to conclude the story properly - must bring (Or transform) the sense of painful yearning that originally provided us with meaning as fans of the game to an end.
      Again, in order for the body to heal, the wound must be cleansed...First and foremost by adderssing the suffering of the main antagonist, which will also alleviate the need for the main sacrifice to take place is it will no longer be necessary for the planet to follow the dictates of destiny - create weapons and muster its efforts by exploiting the cycle of life and death to "fix history", perpetuating the suffering of inncoents... which, as the plot suggests is a delusional projection of madmen seeking power, not the will of the lifestream
      ("He will say he will do anything to save the planet, but it is not how it was meant to be" - Aerith )
      In order for Aerith to ascend over Jenova, she must become Cloud's (and ours) permanent source of light that can only be extinguished when all of mankind will finally perish, and not before. Her death has meaning only if Sephiroth's hate for Cloud remains. Cloud cannot kill Sephiroth feeling guilty and confused...Hence Glenn☺
      We need to know why Cloud was so strong he tossed Sephiroth around like a ragdoll that emasculated him so much, he literally created the plot of FF7 as a coping mechanism. So long as the source of his strength are the S Cells in his body Aerith will stay dead. Advent Children sort of, kind of resolved this issue by having Cloud accept her death...but then again what's the point behind "the sequel theory" if that's the case :/
      The theme of loss is recurrent in every FF title, lol...But when the maiden defies destiny, becoming a fighter, she can make her dreams come true. (Moral of the story in FFX for example) why not have something similar happen here? It's still Final Fantasy, not Final Reality. Sorry for the spam.

  • @AirshipOverWater
    @AirshipOverWater 22 дня назад +2

    I was with you until you said Geo Stigma ended the human race. 1. That’s an interpretation that’s never been confirmed (Not to mention, they make a point to have children laughing after the final scene). It’s intentionally ambiguous, and if you’re referring to the quote from 2005… that was years after the original game was completed, and they were retroactively creating a narrative that Sephiroth lives on. Red and his children are seen looking at an abandoned Midgar, simply implying that the earth has taken back over the industry which robbed the lifestream. 2. The Geo Stigma is cured at the end of AC thanks to Aerith and Zack? So to say Geo Stigma alone “ended” humankind is just a theory that IMO doesn’t hold much weight.
    Personally, I think it will be a lot more clean. Since the “singularity” happened at the end of Remake, we’re dealing with 1-2 universes at most.
    Zack may or may not join the party, but eventually he will accept his fate in that he needs to be with Aerith to support her when Holy is struggling to work.
    There’s too many beats that people are looking forward to that they wouldn’t shake up. I’m sure the final fight will be a convoluted, trippy Kingdom Hearts-esque mess - but ultimately it will come down to Sephiroth being defeated in a more permanent way, and Holy stopping meteor.

    • @GuiltyGaming
      @GuiltyGaming 22 дня назад +1

      Thank you for bringing attention to the laughing children at the end of the OG ending. Too many people overlook that, as well as interpret an abandoned Midgar as some indication that all of humanity is gone. I’ve always believed it to mean-ever since beating the game as a 12 year old in 1998-that humanity learned to co-exist with the Planet rather than just live “on” it and that the ruins of Midgar showed they kept their promise to no longer abuse it. The greenery and Nanaki’s cubs are signs of new life, and there wouldn’t be new life if Mako energy was still relied on as it was prior to the events of the game.

    • @AirshipOverWater
      @AirshipOverWater 22 дня назад

      @@GuiltyGaming No worries at all and I agree with 95% of your video. I think people are overthinking this, which is the intended reaction Square wanted, but I seriously doubt the ending of Part 3 will be that wildly different from the original game.
      It's the double edged sword of expanding a unvierse with more "lore." At what point do you lose the message of the original content by trying to create so much fan service in additional content? Like you, I beat the original game when I was a kid (although I didn't beat it until 2001 haha) and I've been pleasantly surprised by how faithful the games have been so far. Some of the "multiverse" stuff is convoluted, but when I ask myself, "What's really different?" -- the answer is, not much.
      Aerith seemingly has been killed in the main timeline that we have been playing in, but either she's projecting herself in Cloud's mind to protect him (for her own reasons, I assume), or she can still communicate with Cloud in some way...but Sephiroth is the one projecting her to hold Cloud's mental health together until he gives the black materia to him in the North Crater.
      Zack is seemingly alive as well, but as you said -- I think these games are "sequels" to the original game + Advent Children. And the theme of loss, sacrifice, and grieving are far too large in the original for Zack to just alter fate that much. One way or another, I see him joining Aerith in the afterlife/lifestream in part 3. It will also be a gut wrenching loss, perhaps one that Cloud sees wide awake which makes it that much more gut wrenching.
      But at the end of the day, for all the tinkering Nomura is doing with the timeline stuff, I think he too respects the original lore. It's like taking a fully completed puzzle, throwing it into the air and seeing pieces break apart, but ultimately falling back in place (or mostly in place) as it was before.

    I don't think the White Materia will be filled with Clouds memories:
    Whilst replaying Cosmo Canyon I listened again to the Gi's descriptions of the Black Materia
    "From the Planet we claimed the greatest of Materia - a most sacred treasure - and imbued it with our desire for freedom"
    "The purest Materia made black by spite"
    Implying the Black Materia began as white & they are unique from other Materia as they hold hopes & dreams.
    Supported by the famous Cosmo Canyon NPC quote:
    "Spiritual energy is a manifestation of our knowledge & memories - What about our Hopes & Dreams, we remember those don't we?
    Its contents were hidden "between worlds" - the same location as the Dream Worlds we visit.
    We have an empty White Materia, and appear to have seen a glimpse of a dream of a world where Cloud parried the blade. I think it is highly likely we will experience the continuation of that dream as a major portion of part 3 and that it will eventually occupy or be drawn into that empty Materia.
    2 orbs, a dream of Optimism and a dream of Pessimism.
    It’s funny that Square famously received a petition to resurrect Aerith. The “hopes and dreams” of the fan base. They will not compromise the story or its themes to do so, but within the context of its world, they may just show us a dream of what that is.

      I agree on the importance of that scene. It is central to Clouds character development.
      I think it would be a good place to explore the Death of Aerith, however I think the truth of her death may have been revealed to him on his first visit to the northern cave before he hands over the black materia.
      Cloud will discover that he was never in SOLDIER and that he failed to save his friend.
      Sephiorth will ask Cloud to lend him his strength again to begin uniting the worlds.
      He will have extra leverage this time as parrying his blade created a dream world in which Aerith survived. He will offer us a chance of all being together again if we help him.

    I kinda wonder something. Maybe getting rid of Sephiroth for good isn't about erasing him. I feel like there's foreshadowing to what COULD happen.
    In Advent Children, Kadaj, an aspect of Sephiroth, let go of his hatred, and took Aerith's hand. Thus, peacefully going into the lifestream.
    In Ever Crisis, Sephiroth realizes the cycle of hatred, and how hatred only begets hatred.
    And, as you said, Sephiroth is clinging onto life because of his unending hatred.
    So.... Does that mean to get rid of him for good, he'd have to let go of all that anger? Or, alternatively. He clings onto life also via memories of him. And Cloud is an anchor for him.... Clouds mind is not gone.
    Cloud sees two different worlds...one that is his reality and then another one on top of that.
    In the last moment when he blocked sephiroth's sword attack directed at Aerith, we saw the rainbow effect again this means a NEW WORLD was created.
    ( like Sephiroth explained to Cloud, that *The Planet encompasses a multitude of worlds, ever unfolding* )
    This means a new world was created , one where Aerith survived the Sword attack and then our current reality where Aerith died.
    So Clouds mind is not gone aside from the fact that Sephiroth can control him sometimes. ( like in the original )
    But in terms what he sees..he simply sees his reality and then another world on top of that.

    I'm not a fan of Remake's direction of changing the original with a multiverse plot but by analyzing the type of stories the writers do in their work and everything i think that Part 3 will end up with erasing Jenova.
    I think it will be something similiar to JoJo's Bizarre Adventures Part 6 where they just erase the main villain from existence and it resets the timeline
    They will use that blank materia to make JENOVA as just a memory after destroying them then them as memories will also be destroyed and the universes will fuse or something like that
    This will reset the entirety of FF7 timeline creating a world where JENOVA never existed, with that FF7 story would naturally progress with Zack, Sephiroth and Cloud eventually defeating Shinra and Hojo, or Sephiroth could also just not exist in this timeline like Pucci in JoJo.
    Alternatively, there will be a similiar thing with making Sephiroth/Jenova be "just a memory" through the blank materia, we were show with Rebirth that you can erase memories with materia so... Thus making them never return ever again and somehow get rid of JENOVA cells in Cloud, this would probably require some sort of sacrifice from Aerith and the alternative Zack.
    Personally, I would prefer the Remake to simply be the original story without all this KH bs in the middle, but i think that whatever they are planning to it's something like what i suggested or just giving a happy ever after ending to FF7 where everyone will get their good ending.
    Edit: There is also the possibility and honestly the most possible one that it won't be too different from the original ending but with more spectacle and convoluted stuff in the middle that will lead to Sephiroth never coming back and probably Zack and Aerith giving a final farewell to Cloud and the fans.

    Here are my thoughts on this ending. IF Seph is going to be completely destroyed…the thing that is keeping him in the lifestream and being able to be reborn is the Jenova cells in him. Things not of Gaia cannot return to her. So…that means the Jenova cells would need to be REMOVED and THEN destroyed…but by that logic…that means curtains for both Zack and Cloud…not to mention Rufus and whoever else had Jevona cells in them.
    I also think since Cloud literally not only remembered Zack ON HIS OWN (which was maybe the most shocking part of this entire game for me personally) but he also fought alongside him live and in person. So for me that makes me certain that the life stream sequence in FF7 Reborn (definitely the third games title based in the name of the One Winged Angel track in Rebirth) will almost certainly mainly revolve around cloud being forced to realize that he did not save Aerith (it’s the only other thing in this story that is dramatic enough to also break clouds brain).

    • @shaulov10
      @shaulov10  23 дня назад +1

      Oh dang yeah I completely forgot about jenova. Well I think a way they can remove jenova is again, with the white material. Where the Newley powered ones can purify the body and cleanse all jenova cells.
      Now for the lifestream sequence. I still think it’s gonna be about cloud realizing his Zach is dead. Cause he still doesn’t know what really happened. And I also do believe he will find out that aerith is really dead.

    • @SnowCoveredKK
      @SnowCoveredKK 23 дня назад

      @@shaulov10I’m telling you, the Zack thing is almost definitely NOT going to be the lifestream moment anymore. It doesn’t make any sense. He didn’t even know Zack existed in the OG up until that point and it broke him.
      He just fought alongside him. It’s gonna be Aerith focused. And then we are going to assume control of Zack as the main character until cloud is well again. It’s clear to me that Zack was yeeted into our player timeline at the end of Rebirth.
      I don’t think the white materia is going to cleanse Jenova because that would have already happened back when she first crash landed on Gaia.
      We have a working and full white materia in our timeline from Omni Aerith.
      I love these videos crafting theories! But I really don’t think the White Materia is capable of cleansing Jenova.
      But honestly…with this third game that the devs have stated is going to be very different…WHO KNOWS

Will that mean Cloud will disappear with Zach and aerith? Maybe. Just like the Gi, she can’t just die, because she’s not from the planet. So long as her cells are part of a beings structure, they can’t properly die… I think. Maybe the black materia will be used along with the white materia to turn on sephiroth and jenova. I believe Cloud is dying and returning to the life stream. Cloud is fightinf tbe last remnants of Jenova Cells within himself. The Hero Sephiroth in Remake asjed for Clouds help to defy destiny. I think its Sephiroths last chance for redemption and he is asking Cloud to help end Jenova who I think manipulated Sephiroth after a Traumatic event. I believe Aeris (original Aerith) is fighting from within the lifestream. I believe Aerith may have been killed by Cloud who was manipulated into believing he was striking Masamune when in reality it was him killing Aerith. Aeris says "I see what you did back there." Because she found out by watching the memory unfold as Cloud is dying and its his memories that Jenova is trying to manipulate in order to break Clouds spirit. If she does she could presumably make OmniCloud and All the characters, Zack, Sephiroth, Tifa, Aerith, Barrett, Yuffie, Cid, Vincent, Cait Sith, The Turks... i believe they will all fight to bring Cloud back from Jenova seperating the Cells and then we get Jenova Final Form and have Cloud, Sephiroth, Zack team up to finally end Jenova. I think this will also kill Sephiroth, but he will have known and accepted this fate, never being just a memory... he would be a legend. Cloud finally after ending Jenova arrives in a bed of flowers at the church, waking up to everyone around him including Zack and Aerith, who Zack now knowing Aerith has true feelings for cloud gives his blessing and maybe a hint at a Tifa interest? Just for a cherry on top, I hope it ends with a Bustersword being put in the ground over midgars ruins, we get an older Denzil and Marlene holding it, with Marlene telling Denzil, "Cloud did it! He made it to the promised land." Because everyone talks cloud and big future, we forget Marlene knows things she shouldnt. Thats my theory

    Thing is if Aerith really did die, then they’re now sending a tremendously toxic, fatalistic message. Even when you know the future and want to change it , you are completely powerless against tragedy. That’d be one of the most profoundly toxic messages I’ve ever seen in fiction, and from that alone, I have faith that Aerith will be okay.

Her death is more than just a tragedy and honestly if they were going to keep her alive then they would have done the same to Zack. What they are looney going to do with that Aerith ghost is have her try and fail to help Cloud after he falls into the lifestream.

    This is not a recap.
    1. "Cloud's mind is all messed up.", meaning you need an excuse to discredit Cloud so you can pretend Aerith is dead. Cloud said "I got this."
    2. "Nobody trusts him.", meaning you want to believe there's conflict, when there isn't.
    3. "Aerith is probably dead", meaning you watched Zack being alive for the 11th time but still refuse to believe Aerith is alive, like a lot of other annoying RUclipsrs.
    Here is a *recap*.
    1. Cissnei feels Zack is still alive.
    2. Cait Sith foreshadowed, "I don't know if Sephiroth is alive, dead, or something in between..."
    3. Jesse's dad is "stuck between worlds"
    4. Red XIII "died" in the intro, in Terrier, which shows that dying in one "world" doesn't mean a real death. These other worlds have puppets. Another example of this is when Cloud killed soldiers in the Temple, who then "resurrected" as monsters. In short, they didn't die.
    5. Aerith now appears to only Cloud, just as Sephiroth repeatedly has, but she physically exists in a separate space.
    6. Shinra didn't rebuild Nibelheim, because it never burned. Fake disaster, just like every other disaster Jenova/Seph causes.
