I second the Tool Pneuma live drum cam with Danny Carey.
Awesome Team... They do soo much.
@@eddybassreacts I got to see them live and they sound like a very loud version of the audio, but very well mixed.. You could hear everything pounding you in the chest for 2 hours. lol Great times. They remind me alot like Pink Floyd live concerts. Check some out. some were recorded by cell phones. They played so loud it makes the cell phones pop and hiss or the camera goes dark every time the bass drum kicks. lololol too funny.
Great reaction. If you want another African percussion infused then I will strongly recommend the song Right In Two. Please keep Tool on your channel and I will come back to your channel.
Great! I'm surely gonn' look that up.. Thank you for stopping by 💡
Great review. If you keep reviewing Tool, the Tool Army will show up to your channel. It will shock you.
Tool is so musically satisfying.
You have got to watch the drum cam video of Pneuma live. Tool drummer Danny Carey is amazing and as a musician you will be blown away.
Actually I think you'll like a lot of their catalog - check out 46 and 2, Right in Two and Eulogy. And I would skip their videos and just pull up lyrics.
I agree, they are musically satisfying.. Such an amazing team.. All of them 💡♥️
"Forty-six & 2" is probably a must listen for a bassist. And "Descending." Also, one of my favorite bits in "Right in Two" and "Invincible" is how the bass enters the songs late. It drops in just the right spot in both songs.
Wow... I'm checking that out, I love it when people get creative with the bass.
A couple of recommendations for Pneuma, which is one of their very best, IMO. The live drum cam version is something special, but I always suggest doing the studio version first. It's absolute perfection!
Absolute perfection 😀... I'm checking that studio version out
@@eddybassreacts You'll be glad to know it starts with a nice bass intro. Also has an epic drop about 3/4 of the way into the song.
Haha I'm checking out that epic drop 😀
Funny, this is one of the rare Tool songs that is almost entirely in 4/4, standard time.
TOOL is such an inspiration to me.. They do soo much ❤️
The Grudge won't disappoint you! Keep up your journey bro and you will "spiral out" 🌀
Awesome! I'm already loving the experience.. More to come!
Yep, he spent years studying South-Asian African and Jazz percussion
Oh wow.. No wonder he's soo good and confident.
Definitely an experience beyond music. You should check out rush if you haven't already. More time signature changes. Limelight. Tom.sawyer
Awesome Experience... I'm checking that out, I need to enjoy the time changes 😀
Great reaction! I really enjoyed your perspective and musical knowledge and almost experiencing my first listen over again.
Thank you soo much for your kind word! And thanks for watching 😀..
Love from Africa ❤️💡
Spiral out
Okayyyy!
If you like odd timing and esoteric melodies look at the US progressive rock band Animals As Leaders. They don't have a vocalist but they do have a drummer and two guitarists with eight-string guitars and it gets technical. Some AAL tracks to start with - Arithmophobia, Red Miso, The Brain Dance, and CAFO.
Wow.. I love it when they get technical in music, it get my mind opened up to see more possibilities 😀
If you like Tool, you definitely need to checkout Led Zeppelin, The GODS Of MUSIC! Rock Blues Funk Folk Reggae Prog, every song is amazing perfection. A great Blues to start is called, You Shook Me, it’s from their debut album. There’s 3 solos of keyboards harmonica & guitar, with killer vocals & drums. I look forward to seeing a reaction of Led Zeppelin from you.
Great.. I'll check out all that. Thank you soo much for your recommendation❤️💡
@@eddybassreacts I & others will give you more recommendations, hope you deep dive with them. Thanks for answering.
I'll gladly do... Bless
checkin in...
Yeaaaa
Just a ridiculous rhythm section. Love the chunky bass sound that is signature Justin Chancellor. Danny Carey is crazy and into a bunch of styles. Great singer, great guitarist, and they are all tremendous together. Such a tight sound. I highly recommend the newest album from 2019, Fear Inoculum. All six of the tracks with lyrics are amazing.
Yea right, they’re all awesome together 😀
Try "Invincible" might just be ur new favorite song
Okayyyy... I'll try that 😀
Yeah give yourself some "Forty Six & 2." another cool thing re: mix is Tool lays in the vocals as an equal instrument. They're only forward when the song demands it, i.e., vocals aren't a separate element. Even when they play live Maynard, the singer, is staged in the back on a platform near the drummer (GOAT). Bass and guitar are staged in the front. Music first!
Oh wow..thank you soo much for this
Watching tool first listen reactions is a guilty pleasure of mine. This one was a standout, you really gave some good insight at the end and showed your knowledge and appreciation for the music. Keep spiraling
Thank you so much for your kind words. And thanks for watching.
If you notice at 4:08 The distorted guitar is actually the bass and you'll notice the six string guitar continues with a little riff
Oh.. I’m going to replay that to see what you’re saying, thanksss 😀
