    The hunting community is its own worst enemy and it all stems from jealousy. Like you were saying why can’t we just be happy for the other person no matter if it’s a spike, a doe or a great buck. As long as the individual is happy and it’s done legally, nobody else’s opinion matters. Have a Blessed Day!!!

    In my own opinion. I think cell cams have affected the way I hunt in a negative way more than anything. I used them less this year than I have in the past few years because of this. Having read through some of the comments, I can’t help stressing that jealousy and envy are the sins of the lazy and incompetent, no one is guaranteed or entitled to anything in the woods just like in life, and-most importantly-the chief goal of everyone is to thankfully glorify God. In line with this, humble confidence is one of the best things one can develop. Working to become skillful to the extent that getting skunked is part of the fun is worth it, because that’s how one learns, and there’s no shame in being legally empty-handed; when it comes down to it, one has the knowledge and skills to get game for survival anyway.
    Look at it like this: the life-long, skillful Maine woodsman who literally lives in the woods and takes deer on a fairly regular basis can really teach things to people spoiled by living in places with greater deer densities. Perseverance is definitely one of those things, and there’s no such thing as a “bad” hunting season! I’ll never forget the season I learned more from the scouting than anything else. And that made a very significant difference. ☦️🦌👍😁

    It’s the people that don’t understand drones that make those comments and think it’s so easy to just use a drone to go kill a big buck. As someone that has a thermal drone and did deer recovery all season, trying to use one of these drones to go kill a deer is a terrible idea to even attempt. Firstly, these drones are LOUD, you can hear them flying from a great distance away. Which means anyone in the area is going to hear it. Secondly, they’re almost useless with the sun out. Thirdly, it would be really obvious if someone were trying to fly one out of a public land parking area, you’d have to be standing outside of your vehicle looking down at a drone remote. You’d have to be really brave and/or stupid to even attempt to do this and wouldn’t take long for you to get caught. You wouldn’t be able to do it during hunting hours, you’d have to go in the middle of the night, find a buck, and hope it’s still in that same spot in the morning, and try to sneak in without busting it. I could give many more reasons why this is a bad idea. In my opinion based off my experience, having a bunch of cell cameras out in the woods is more of a practical advantage than a drone is.

I told him to stay where he was, i would work my way around to see down the ravine. As i got to the head of the ravine and looked over the cliff there was another cougar below me, i shot it, followed a few seconds later followed another shot from my buddy. When i got back to my buddy he said he anchored his cat. When we went to recover our cats there were 3 cougars on the ground. We tagged 2 cats and did not report the 3rd, illegal .Had friends pay fines and lose equipment and licenses for alot less "honest mistakes", could not take that chance. I AM A POACHER!😮

    One rule I think a lot of hunters break is the no bullets in gun or arrow out of the quiver outside legal shooting hours. Let me be clear and concise. If sunrise is at 7AM and you are allowed to hunt 30 minutes prior to sunrise meaning you are legal to shoot at 6:30 AM. I know a cornucopia of people that load their gun prior to 6:30 AM. Let's say they start heading into the woods at 6 AM to get to stand by 6:30 AM, the hunters will load up their guns then before they get to their stand so prior to legal shooting light meaning they are breaking the rules. This does happen for bowhunters also. They may get to their stand before 6:30 AM and then take an arrow out of the quiver and string to bow. You are not allowed to have an arrow out of quiver before legal shooting hours.

    • @knotengajin7359
      @knotengajin7359 11 дней назад +1

      That’s likely going to vary state by state. Mine says it is illegal to “hunt 30 minutes after sunset to 30 minutes before sunrise unless hunting furbearers”, doesn’t elaborate on what specifically constitutes “hunting”, but I’ve never heard anyone here think it meant anything other than when you can legally shoot, not load.

      My man, I"m 54 and have had run ins with all kinds of situations in the woods and rural locations, if you think I'm stepping out of my truck without a loaded gun, you've not spent a lot of time in the backwoods. I carry a large caliber pistol that is loaded with a round in the chamber, always. I also do not hunt public land, as where I'm from that is recipe for a confrontation and/or accidentally getting shot because some idiot shoots at moving brush. Not to mention its a free for all, no one knows where anyone else is at, thats just stupid.

    • @grinder881
      @grinder881 10 дней назад

      @@letsgobrandon7297 I hunt every legal minute I can. I do all day sits for rifle. I will tell you I do load up my rifle before entering the woods, so legally I am breaking the law. I refuse to go to my stand and then load the 4 bullets into my rifle and then rack one into the chamber and make all that noise. Also, I REFUSE to rack four shells out of the rifle once legal shooting light ends and I climb down from stand. I hunt with an OLD 300 Savage that you manually have to load 3 bullets into clip (clip isn't made to separate from gun meaning you can't unclip the magagize) I try to sneak into/ away from stand quietly. The more and more and more I think about it I don't think any of our 11 members or sons load/unload their rifle while at stand.

    • @grinder881
      @grinder881 10 дней назад

      @@michaelcope2329 I also am 54. I think I got really scared (I mean I know I was scared, but it affected me my whole life) when I heard a bear growling at me in the dark. Since I was only 14 and only being my 1st time to the stand in the dark I had flashlight on and I saw the bear and the teeth. From that point on I have NEVER entered the woods with an empty rifle. If that means I am breaking the law by having my rifle loaded before/after legal shooting hours while walking to/back from stand, then so be it. I do hunt of state land, but kind of know the hunters that hunt around me. I think the closest hunter to me is almost a 1/2 mile away.

    I will never support or understand people who support hunting influencers. I don’t think that there is a significant poaching problem, but I feel like there is too many people hunting because they think it’s the “cool” thing to do. Which in turn makes people poach because they want to have the biggest deer on social media, or the most ducks or such. I could care less if someone poaches to feed their family, but poaching to show off on social media makes me sick. I’ve seen too many people who shoot deer at night, dump ducks after pile pictures, and bait duck holes with corn just for social media clout. The vast majority go without being caught. If you go on instagram or TikTok now a days, almost half of the hunting content I see are people joking about poaching. If it’s a joke it’s one thing, but unfortunately a lot of people out there do it to be “cool”

    The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the various laws have pitted the hunters, and fishermen against each other. If you use natural bait to catch a fish, you are ridiculed by the fishermen who only use artificial baits. And you’re not a true fisherman unless you use a fly rod, and handmade flies. The deer hunters are no different than the fisherman. As long as you are enjoying your sport, and follow the rules, and limits, then keep your comments private. I remember when, “ you were not considered an ethical deer hunter, if your rifle had a telescopic sight.” Only iron sights were seen to be fair, to give the deer “a chance”. I do not feel our deer population is as big as they are trying to claim that it is. At least in my area. When I was a kid we could go for an hour ride and see 100 or more deer 15-20 in each field. I messed up last turkey season, i hit auto renew for my licenses, didn't think anything about checking because the app we have shows licenses tags ect. Come to find out it didn't renew, so that could've been some type of error on my end or something with the go outdoors app, i caught it when i started out to turkey hunt, and took care of it, but would have owned up to the mistake if i wouldn't have double checked and found out. What it takes is for everyone to mind their own business. Don't worry what the next guy shoots,if it's legal. And non hunters,who don't approve of it,can find another hobby,instead of judging . I don't watch sports,I think it's a waste of time,when you could be outside doing something productive. But I don't care if other people watch it.

      Na. There is nothing wrong with social media or technology...Humans that use the technology are sinners and can't handle it. We blame it on these things but in reality it's peoples lack of discipline that is the issue.

    Tv ruined bass fishing and now deer hunting the pressure to compete and get a big deer is so great I have had guys threaten me on my own property saying they owned it as they wanted to hunt it so bad it’s ridiculous to the point I quit hunt all together and leased it out with the rule the guys that hunt have to run off all the poachers road hunters. Too bad it used to be fun but tv and RUclips ruin it.

      Guides and outfitters came in shot up all the trophy’s for their websites and then guide hunter on the 2 year old 8 points and doe everyone shoots those so they don’t go home empty handed from a 5000.00 hunt now the buck doe ratio is out of whack and the genetics is gone. All done by out of staters trying to cash in on big bucks monkey see monkey do like on tv.

    It’s to hard to
    Outlaw now with the ballistic an thermal drones that the game commission uses,
    Just not worth it anymore.
    Even if you get dropped off to get the buck out the drones can pick up your heat signature.

    In my experience, almost without fail, accusations like this one are undoubtedly admissions! This fellow is basically admitting he uses every unfair unethical method he can to kill deer, and simply does not believe anyone else could take a deer otherwise and without cheating! (Simply because he can't!)

    I left that comment Josh. I stated the guy in fact uses his drone to find animals whether it be deer, turkeys or waterfowl…he also kills deer all summer with nuisance permits legally (whatever New Jersey labels them as) at night with thermal…that is factual…in no way did I intend to pass judgement towards hunters as a whole, just him specifically…i was referencing his social media that i was shown…I don’t use social media nor see any other harvest unless somone shows me in person or here on yt…I frankly said I wonder how many of those deer were killed with the use of his drone…specifically more so in relation to the regular deer season…the paraphrase was off target but I comprehend how conversating through text can be viewed in many different contexts. To call me egotistical is your opinion…and perhaps that may be changed in the future or perhaps not…I have thick enough skin to take it but with the admission to the use of drones to find animals, I think it’s an honest question…is it not? I call it how I see it…truth is truth I merely pondered the question…to each their own…I am happy for anyone that finds success in whatever way they find it…legal or not…just don’t hurt your fellow man or his property…see I’m supportive lol…I’m glad I could spark the inspiration for some content the comments should be productive…I am above no one and hold to my own code… not everyone is me and ethics have no boundaries or classification…there can be justification for nearly anything…narratives how ever can be dissected and critisized …I enjoy your content I can’t say I’ve ever been portrayed as that much of a weird egotistical mad man in my recent memory 😆 all good I’m all for busting balls and calling out the truth…good and bad neither have boundaries…it’s all within the perception of any given individual…our world and its current state is proof of that…hope this comment can bring some common ground as opposed to division…if you were referencing my username as far as ego driven…I put little effort into it…that is simply my given nickname at work…and no I am not a male stripper 😮 happy hunting brothers and sisters ❤️

    I’ve poached almost 100 deer before I was 13 years old in the middle of nowhere and also ate deer. We hit on the highway. I never wasted anything because I had to feed the family when I use the 22 that people say you’re not supposed to use That my single mother bought for me when I was four and I would guess that most people that poach do it because they have a really good reason to do it and learn how to do it in the middle of the night, but I have no idea I’m not an expert. I haven’t even gone hunting in 25 years because I can just go down to Sam’s Club by steak. Your experience may differ. 😊. And I made all this up. I’ve never gone hunting
