Love the late season topic. I xc ski with stickbow in hand. Live in the same area as Dan. It’s not too often we get enough snow down here during season to make it worth it. Last year we got close to 2ft at once which was awesome. Frozen rivers can be a great use case for skis. If you’re farther north or in the UP it can be super handy.
I made the trip from PA for last years scouting workshop, was worth every penny. I would definitely attend a hill country workshop, but am out for this year with other hunting plans.
Missed this flow! Jeremy is such a good guy, but the dialogue between Josh and Dan is what makes the show, get Eric in here! Look forward to watching these again!
Northern Minnesota I had every predator on one trail camera except cougar. I had Black bear, wolf, coyote, bobcat, and fox on trail camera. Most likely predator to see while in the stand is the timber wolf.
The michigan black powder season is such a disappointment. This is the main reason i go out of state every year to enjoy the results of other states management practice and just less hunter pressure
Less than 6 percent of total buck harvest occurred in muzzleloader. That is a slight increase but negligible in the grand scheme of things. More bucks will probably be killed in late antlerless that have already shed than extra bucks were harvested in muzzleloader
So while out duck hunting as a child, I watched my Dad's buddy pull a cat tail up out of the mud and he ate the bulb. He said it tasted like cucumber. I know he was just humoring me but maybe deer pull dig out those bulbs...maybe not.
Yea, we have discussed it. Got some hate mail from his kid over it... In my opinion, and most experts opinions, its so obviously faked that its not worth discussing further...
@ It’s just too bad because Mitch was a legend like you Dan and Hal Blood and Larry Benoit. He shot his share of Big Swamp Bucks! I’ve shot a few but, you guys are in a league all your own Legends! 🦌🦌🦌
I hunted what gun season we have here where I live and only seen a doe and fond all season and I’m getting pictures a hour after dark every day in Arkansas but it was really warm all season but I’m planning on bow hunting and I see them moving now
Hate them locust trees, some of the straightest trees in Nebraska, but climbing them sucks, and some of them I look at and just say screw that I’m not gonna put a bunch of holes in my clothes haha
We got some bear but good luck trying to hunt them it’s possible if you can find a spot to hunt but we do have some monster bucks on the public but you have to carry them out no atvs allowed in Arkansas public

Welcome back Josh! The rapport you and Dan have is so natural and fun. Old friends shooting the shit, and it makes the conversation enjoyable.
100% man. They have great chemistry. Josh brings something out in everybody. He even had Jeremy more relaxed.
Be nice to see episode with Joe rentmeester or Johnny stewart!
These guys ain’t half the hunters of joe
Holosun makes a thermal red dot, that also doubles as a regular red dot for an AR. Great for Coyote hunting.
Great podcast, keep on the grind Dan! Would love to see you at Huntstock in Massachusetts this year
Damn Dan you are the man!,love it .

You can still use black powder. Just let everyone one else do what they want. It's like bow hunting during gun season
@ the point is less bucks make it through

You should have Rendell on the show. Seems like he uses a lot of beast tactics. Rendell and Dan together would be poscast gold lol

The roots are edible of cattails. More like a potato I heard from survivalists.
Shot a buck in early October coming to honey locust pods, opened my eyes to alot
Good to.see Josh back.if you want something done ask the busiest guy around
Covered some great topics guys and Ashley! Have you guys ever discussed the Mitch Rompola Buck? Curious what your thoughts are on that Buck. 🦌🦌
