If you just want the registration, and don't need them to look into viability before trying to register for you, you can save around £90.This is for a UK only application. You can get one covering all of the EU for just a little bit more (bout £50 extra for the application itself, though the research does become a good bit more expensive, at £200). Once that is granted, you can apply for some world trademarking thingy too

Here's the thing - Why I like Peter and Deborah is that when an entreprenur walks in that is pitching a product that is either one of their specialities, the other gives way for the expert to do the questioning. This is a courtesy Toukar needs to learn to extend to his fellow Dragons. Because guess what mate? You don't know much about the healthcare business. You may be good at retail but you have to respect that someone else's experience will be more specialised than yours. Especially if you want respect as well.

African raw shea butter is an acquired taste. You either love it or hate it (just like Marmite). However, raw shea is the best for skin and hair. Some companies even use it as a cheaper option to manufacture chocolates. For their shea product, they should have one in its natural raw state and another scented with natural essential oils - for those like Peter who can't handle the heavy smoky smell of the raw one. £4000 for a trademark is just ridiculous and these greedy lawyers are far too many for my liking. Many of them don't do anything but write letters and expect to be paid a lot of money. I could have done that for them for a fraction of what they've paid. There a lots of mistakes but they are learning and I wish them great success.

I've been in their position! It's impatience which initially rushes you to put your vision in motion because you think everything will fall in place automatically, which leads to taking shortcuts. Naivety plays a big factor in skipping vital steps E.g. not doing market research because you think there already is a demand for a product/service. You fail because physically and socially you are not up for the challenge of overseeing that vision and making it a reality. Those 2 ladies took shortcuts and fell short in terms of the physical aspect required to make their vision a reality.

What lovely ladies. I feel that Levi Roots began with the same naivety as these ladies but "with his product" was supported by an investor and the rest is history. He didn't suddenly become a business genius, that's for sure.
Keith was far more confident though.
