    I have a BR7070 twine wrap that has never gone a day but once without breakong down or wadding up horrendously on the wrong side of the steel rollers.

    When they went to the four-digit numbering system, did the baler sizes change much? We run a BR740 and it makes a 4x5 bale. is the BR7060 a 4x5, or a 4x6 baler?

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  7 лет назад

      +RustyCarnahan. I'm not sure how thier numbering works but the BR7060 is a 4x5 baler. That's what I have and it's been an awesome baler!

    • @RustyCarnahan
      @RustyCarnahan 7 лет назад

      DLH Farms Gotcha. We run an 03 model BR740 which is the same size bale as yours. We've had our fair share of troubles and "learning curve" moments with it in the 3 seasons we've run it. I'll tell ya one thing though, it's SO much nicer than the 847 that it replaced! lol

    prolly had just a touch of surface rust on the sides from sitting over winter making the hay catch and build up on the sides, after it gets to running it polishes back up and flows smoother if that makes sense, my vermeer will do the same thing first time out, usually 1-2 bales and its better, nice job

    How does the 120 ride compared to the t4.115 I have a Farmall 120c and am considering the 120u with suspended front axel

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  7 лет назад +1

      +Josh Cage. There is no comparison really the T5.120 rides much better than the T4. I don't have front suspension but I have the suspended cab and loader suspension.

    Hi! What makes you decide for round or square bales? Is it just what the customer wants or what machine is available, or the product you're baling? Thank you and have jolly good harvests!

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  7 лет назад +1

      +2xKTfc. It has to do with how steep the land is, field access, weather, and sometimes clover content. Rule of thumb is square bale it if possible, but sometimes it not possible because of the things I've listed above. I have a good buyer for round hay, but I only get half as much money for the same amount of hay when it's round baled.

    at same thing where hay comes out sometimes. What model baler is that?

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  7 лет назад

      +Josh Timer. It's a 2008 BR7060. That's the only time mine has done that. It didn't do it very long and it quit.

  • @stephensfarms7165

    Yes. Show us how u refill that plastic wrap. Thanks and why u use it.

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  7 лет назад

      +Ronald Stephens. I use what is called net wrap and the baler wraps the bales with it automatically when it gets full, it's much better at holding the bales together and more weather resistant than just putting string on them. If I get a chance I will make a video of it, its stored away for this year though.

  • @shanethrasher1027
    @shanethrasher1027 7 лет назад +1

    Do you use bale command plus with that baler? Thats what we use with the same baler

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  7 лет назад

      +International Man. Yes, I think all the net wrap balers use bale command plus.

  • @stephensfarms7165

    You sure have some confidence in your camera mount! That looks to be some good hay from here.

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  7 лет назад

      +Dan Whiteford. Lol. I always worry about my camera when I can't see it from the tractor. Its got a good strong magnet on it but if something hits it, it will knock it off. That was some really nice hay!

    • @w056007568
      @w056007568 7 лет назад +1

      Perhaps it might be wise to think about adding a lightweight safety lanyard that can be tied to both the camera and a safe connection point on the machine?

    • @jeremyfreeman6108
      @jeremyfreeman6108 7 лет назад

      DLH Farms it's true. U don't bale silage that's why. everyone I know that had a br baler traded them in. all kinds of pickup and bearing trouble

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  7 лет назад

      +Jeremy Freeman. Sounds like the same problems John Deere has when they bale silage to me

    • @jeremyfreeman6108
      @jeremyfreeman6108 7 лет назад

      DLH Farms apparently u never ran a deere. all I know is everyone in our area that had a 740 or 7060 traded them for a Deere or Kuhn. u don't bale wet enough hay to hay wrapping and plugging trouble. I saw in one of your vids hay shooting out the top of the baler. everyone iv seen run has done the same. Not trying to be a dick but New Holland hay equipment has taken a major down hill turn

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  7 лет назад

      +Jeremy Freeman. Actually I have run a deere, always having belt problems and bearing failures. Sorry buddy your not going to convince me, I know several poeple that bale silage with the silage special just like mine with little to no problems. As far as the hay shooting out the top, like I said in the video that's the only time it's done it and it hasn't done it since. It was because it was the first use this year and there was dust on the belts, as soon as the dust wore off it has baled the same as it always has flawlessly. Also the guy that buys my hay likes the NH bales over the JD bales.
