Yeah the skid steer was still broke down when I did this hay. And I didn’t want to have to mess with the big tractor. If I had a lot of bales to move I would have done something different.
Next year I’m planning to spray early spring, as early as I can get out without tearing up the fields. And then I’m going to spray again after first cutting. I’ve heard of people spraying early enough that the ground is still solid from winter. I’m not sure what is too early.
Skid steer is definitely the best way to move heavy bales.
