I can see why there would be people who would be sick of Star Wars it is pretty much the same feeling I have when I see "Fast and the Furious" and "Transformers" having sequel after sequel. I enjoy their first few movies but it didn't hook me into them like Star Wars. Big fan of the Marvel cineverse too and enjoy all the movies they've been releasing but I have a friend who would go "Ugh, another comic book movie? Ugh!"
I don't think that would ever happen (even though I kind of want it) mainly because Star Wars is a family franchise. I know there were some dark moments in Clone Wars and Rogue One was quite dark at times but I still think those were pretty tame. I don't think they'd go any darker than that.
Love you, guys! We have few good RUclips Channels concerning Star Wars here in Brazil, so it is a joy for me everytime I see your videos, your discussions. It is a pleasure seeing people who have as much knowledge as I when it comes to Star Wars discussing this universe that we love and always will. You just made my day, as many other times. Thank you
I am so excited! It is really a great time to be a Star wars fan. I am really hoping that the new trilogy from RJ will be set in the Old Republic or prequel era. RJ has showed his appreciation of the prequels so he is the perfect fit for this :) and yes I am a huge prequel lover, I grew up with them and no matter what anybody says I will continue to love them.
I see it as Star Wars is a universe and the movies we've seen have just been about a particular area and a particular family. This new trilogy I think won't tie in with what we've seen at all. Just completely new story about new people in a completely different area
Oh this is awesome I love that Blind Wave is doing this. I really want to see some Old Republic stuff and The Rise of the Sith would be totally awesome.
I don't think that would ever happen (even though I kind of want it) mainly because Star Wars is a family franchise. I know there were some dark moments in Clone Wars and Rogue One was quite dark at times but I still think those were pretty tame. I don't think they'd go any darker than that.
if its something i love, is to hear you guys talking about star wars. I will continue to tell you that you need to do a weekly segment where you talk only about star wars. I would love sometime to talk with all of you about star wars, maybe you can have guests via skype?.
James Luceno so far has only two novels in the new official canon - Tarkin, and Catalyst, which was a prequel to Rogue One I haven’t gotten to read Tarkin yet but I highly recommend Catalyst because it really makes you look at the events of Rogue One with completely different eyes - I read the book before seeing the film and there were so much details between character relationships between the Ersos and Krennic, and Krennic vs Tarkin that it makes what happens in the film even more satisfying
I think the show could be Old Republic. The new trilogy will probably walk along the same time as Ep.10, 11, 12. Then they can meet and do a super Trilogy
Trilogy --> Old Republic to get it to the mainstream. TV series (What I'm much more excited for) --> mostly bounty hunters, prequel or sequel era, level 1313 of coruscant, use old scripts.
My suggestions for the trilogy: Old Republic, Great Hyperspace War (Origin of the Sith Order), Founding of the Jedi Order, Founding of the Galactic Republic (Possibly the same era: 25,000 years BBY), Pre-Republic (Rakatan Infinite Empire)
So much great Star wars news! and you didn´t even mention Star wars battlefront 2 with even more canon content, its really a great time to be a star wars fan. Personally I want the trilogy to be before the preguels like old republic :)
I actually think it would be interesting to see the original Jedi Knights in their prime and tell the story of the first Sith Lord's origin; how he fell to the Dark Side and what impact this had on the galaxy
Also, the reshoots that Tony Gilroy did on Rogue One are often totally overblown. He was brought in to film a "happier" ending for the film, because they didn't think Disney would be okay with killing off all of the hero characters. The ending the used seems to be more like the one that Edwards and the rest of the team originally envisioned.
Going back to the Old Republic era. Having storylines with Revan, Bane, Plagieus, the star forge, etc. But, have a tie in with the 7,8,9 movies where Snoke is an Old Republic Sith who became out of control because he can have a power where he can suck the force out of people, so either the Jedi or Sith themselves capture Snoke and put him in stasis for thousands of years. Then, have him wake from his imprisonment when Order 66 is issued, because Snoke said he saw the fall of the Republic and rise of the Empire. And a lot of other ties to other movies if possible. That's my idea though.
I want to see them go back to the creation of the Jedi and Sith. The Journal of the Whills, the creation of the Jedi, the first Sith lord, etc. Build the lore that the current Skywalker movies are based on.
What I want: To be surprised by the era/setting/characters/plots of the new trilogy movies. What I expect: For them to be set in the Old Republic (which i'd be ecstatic about). What I want: For the live-action TV series to be KOTOR or very similar. What I expect: For the series to be the Underworld (1313) story. Why? Because it is way more budget friendly. The underworld would only require sets and limited CGI. You'd need indoor clubs, bars, apartments and outdoor streets, and no force users. So it is basically just a normal gangster series but the skin isn't Chicago it is underground Coruscant. Compare that to a more standard Star Wars story like KOTOR or Rebels, and think of all the ships, space battles, ground battles, Jedi and Sith fights, all sorts of different locations to represent vastly different geographical locations (different planets) and so on. The budget when you go big like that would increase substantially.
Tv series about troopers would be nice!!!! Or Movies about them I mean when they first start recruiting them. After the clones, like tow brothers who will see each other on the other side of what they believe, in the third movie!
As one of the naysayers about this news, I’m still happy for any who are excited about it. If I were able to somehow contract your immunity to fatigue I’d totally do it.
The key piece if info from that announcement is the in a corner of the galaxy that we've never seen before. If they don't go to the Old Republic era, I'm guessing we'll be exploring the unknown reasons and wild space. I don't see them filling in gaps between the episodes.
I believe the live action show was supposed to take place in The underworld on Coruscant but I don't know if they will continue with that idea. I'd love to see that tbh.
Going to places where Star Wars lore has never been...this probably includes legends, because even if they aren't canon they are still part of Star Wars as LEGENDS.
What their mentioning in Ep VIII with the old Jedi books that Luke has hidden away could be a good jumping off point for Dawn of the Jedi Trilogy. They're mentioning Balance a lot in this movie and in Rebels that it really could be a foreshadowing of what this new trilogy would be about.
You fellas should do a regular Star Wars talk. Personally I like the new trilogy to be about Jedi/Sith war. There's a reason why Dave Filoni been spending a lot time on sets of RO & TLJ. My guess live TV show is what Dave Filoni been working on & will be based on the Star Wars Underworld concept George Lucas was working on but shelved due to budget costs. Art & design work with over 50 scripts came with sale Lucasfilm.
Can't wait for them to dump all the lore and just try something new and fresh. No Jedi conflict, no book characters, completely separate from all the lore. Exciting times where this doesn't have to fit into a timeline or even see anything in that galaxy. Not taking away from the original arc, just something refreshing.
I hope not. I like Star Wars being a yearly event and more than one a year seems overkill. Different with Marvel where they have very different locations and established characters. Lucasfilm needs to prove that they can step outside the box before they move to two Star Wars films a year.
I think they may do that one year, or at most two. However, at some point they are going to be afraid of oversaturating the Star Wars market. From what I've heard, they will make movies every year till the end of the Sequel Trilogy, then one every 1-2 years for five to ten years, then they would stop making movies for another five to ten years to allow for people to not get overwhelmed with content, and to rebuild hype before the next Skywalker trilogy. Of course plans always change, and this is a plan for the next 20+ years, but it says that right now they don't want to make too many movies at once.
I'm always down for some more Star Wars, but I think that this announcement was a mistake. We already have three unreleased movies waiting (The Last Jedi, Solo, Episode IX), it was way too early to reveal a new trilogy. You gotta build up expectation to get people really excited. I was going freaking crazy when Episode VII was announced, because I had been waiting years for this. When I learned about this third trilogy it triggered ABSOLUTELY NO EMOTION for me except a slight curiosity. As a big SW fan, that kinda scares me. I get that Disney has big business plans when it comes to Star Wars, but they gotta learn how to pace their public announcements if they want to keep the magic alive for fans. They shouldn't try to rush things as much, I'd be much more excited for a single new-gen KotOR styled Star Wars RPG than a whole 10 years movies schedule.
I believe were getting the old republic trilogy and that Snoke is in fact from the old republic era who has been imprisoned for all these years. I think when we hear Snoke saying he was there for the empires rise and fall i don't think he's talking about the recent empire but the one from old republic times. There's so much history to explore from this time that you could do a few shows and have a few stand alone movies plus a trilogy movie within that time period. We have slowly been getting clues that it's pointing to this direction also with the books from the ending of Aftermath trilogy to and from the Thrawn book and a very big hint in Rebels season 2 finale. I think in the end though it will still all come back to the Skywalker line some how and im thinking Revan being related to the Skywalker line to have it come full circle if in fact they do old republic
Out of topic but with the last jedi coming in i think its fair to theorize a possible "Zuko" storyline for kylo i mean maybe hehe anyways Blindwave all the way! p.s would love movies based on the old republic
Y'know one little era that has BARELY been explored in any medium, weirdly? The span between Episodes 1 and 2. There's ten years there. Why can't they do a Jedi Seven Samurai style anthology movie during that Time? I think they should be trying to enrich the prequel era with genuinely great new material like the tv shows. As for the new trilogy, I think Old Republic is the way to go. It's Medieval Star Wars. That's all you should need to hear to get excited. I would also like to see an Elseworlds film that closely follows Ralph McQuarrie's original concept art. Maybe call it "The Star Wars." I have so many ideas lol.
Nice. Really hope it’s about the old republic start out with the foundation of the jed’ai order and the rakata infinite empire that lead up to the death of darth plageius/invasion of naboo
Tom Barnes never gonna happen it would cost way way too much money to produce a Star Wars tv show with episodes that long. We’re lucky to even be getting a live action Star Wars tv show at all they’ve been trying to do it for years but the problem has always been the budget
I'd rather Disney went with films set in the Old Republic, or live action Rebels, or something set during the Clone Wars but focusing on the clones and without Obi-Wan or Anakin rather than 'inventing' new Star Wars - We'll end up in Prometheus territory if they get too creative.
Have you ever heard the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you... But Rian Johnson might! LETS GO BABY DO IT!
Great news. Can't wait. I can't belive some people are tired of Star wars movies already because I can't get enough of it. Love me some Star wars.
Ugh!"
splinteridiot there will always be people who complain about being sick of everything - society is simply this way with every genre of film and story
karl jonson It’s the last Jedi that’s annoying I hate that movie and Ryan Johnson
Blind Wave crew discussing Star Wars is the most adorable thing ever
History of Mandalore, that’s what eveyone would like to see
This is so clutch! Now I can listen to something on my drive back to college!
Old Republic is my main wish for the new trilogy
I love for you guys to do more of this format. just talking about general entertainment news and stuff
How about an adult Star Wars in the GOT style?
Oh yeah, Kids+Merch+Disney = Never see that son
I don't think that would ever happen (even though I kind of want it) mainly because Star Wars is a family franchise. I know there were some dark moments in Clone Wars and Rogue One was quite dark at times but I still think those were pretty tame. I don't think they'd go any darker than that.
STAR WARS PODCAST HYPE!
Blind wave simply the best
absolutely
We need more Star Wars discussions
Love you, guys! We have few good RUclips Channels concerning Star Wars here in Brazil, so it is a joy for me everytime I see your videos, your discussions. It is a pleasure seeing people who have as much knowledge as I when it comes to Star Wars discussing this universe that we love and always will. You just made my day, as many other times. Thank you
Hello there
Hello There
I'm dead😂
General Kenobi! *cough *cough...
Because I have the high ground
Roses are Red
Apples are round
It's over Anakin
I have the high ground.
Lord of the rings style jedi vs sith movies would be really sweet
This was great, I love the idea of just spontaneous random podcasts like this more often.
What a fantastic discussion. I wouldn't mind havin' more of these. I could listen to you 4 all day if I could
25:00 I like Aaron's idea the most.
I was hoping you guys would do something like this
I am so excited!
Katie Stubbs no now is really great time to be star wars fan
You guys should pitch a "Talking Star Wars" show to tie into the streaming show.
Yes! ^
Lol, can you call it that without bringing in Hardwick?!
I'd love to see you guys discuss more Star Wars, especially talk about Clone Wars and other cannon material. Great vid, keep it up
I really love this concept of the 4 of you talking about various news. Maybe you should expand on it every so often? :D
Great discussion guys!
Very cool.
Very cool - Red Letter Media, 2016
so here are the RLM viewers, going on other channels typing "very cool" :D
Juraj Michalec Couldn't resist.
A star wars show starring you guys would be a brilliant comedy.
I see it as Star Wars is a universe and the movies we've seen have just been about a particular area and a particular family. This new trilogy I think won't tie in with what we've seen at all. Just completely new story about new people in a completely different area
Make a trilogy of KOTOR/SWTOR or at least a show preferably animated but if it’s live action good luck
Oh this is awesome I love that Blind Wave is doing this. I really want to see some Old Republic stuff and The Rise of the Sith would be totally awesome.
I would LOVE to see what GRRM would do with a Star Wars script.
Probably eat it
I've had my tickets as a sticky in my email inbox for TLJ at Disney Springs AMC opening weekend and its KILLING ME!!!!
Could they be bringing In Some legends lore that hasn't "technically" been covered cause they were retconned
An epic GOT style KOTOR tv series would be amazing.
I don't think that would ever happen (even though I kind of want it) mainly because Star Wars is a family franchise. I know there were some dark moments in Clone Wars and Rogue One was quite dark at times but I still think those were pretty tame. I don't think they'd go any darker than that.
I think a bunch of films set during the fall of the old republic would be cool
set it during the thousand year war between the sith and the jedi
if its something i love, is to hear you guys talking about star wars. I will continue to tell you that you need to do a weekly segment where you talk only about star wars. I would love sometime to talk with all of you about star wars, maybe you can have guests via skype?.
You guys should do podcasts/discussions more often.
You should talk about your Favorite Star Wars Books/ Games/ Soundtracks.......
Start a top 10 Series about Star Wars

BetaArtemis agree on Catalyst, made R1 so much better
Tarkin is good IMO. I think if you like Plagieus you'll enjoy it more.
Wow I was gonna ask if y’all could do a news reaction lol amazing!
I think the show could be Old Republic. The new trilogy will probably walk along the same time as Ep.10, 11, 12. Then they can meet and do a super Trilogy
Im hoping its a old republic film myself, the era not just the games lol
Ya but its possible since all of that is non canon theyll assume average person doesnt know about it
To answer Eric's question, James Luceno has written Catalyst (the Rogue One prequel) and Tarkin in the new canon.
Trilogy --> Old Republic to get it to the mainstream.
TV series (What I'm much more excited for) --> mostly bounty hunters, prequel or sequel era, level 1313 of coruscant, use old scripts.
They will be Episode: -2,-1,0.
Old Republic
My suggestions for the trilogy: Old Republic, Great Hyperspace War (Origin of the Sith Order), Founding of the Jedi Order, Founding of the Galactic Republic (Possibly the same era: 25,000 years BBY), Pre-Republic (Rakatan Infinite Empire)
It’s only 2:10 in the morning it’s ok I can watch this
I'm Earnest Porgnine!
The one thing missing from the new movies is the Twentieth Century Fox Intro music. I would love a Peter Jackson Directed Star Wars movie.
So much great Star wars news! and you didn´t even mention Star wars battlefront 2 with even more canon content, its really a great time to be a star wars fan.

Pure Shane. You talking in circles son lol

Anthony Ingruber is the Harrison Ford from The Age of Adaline
Hope we get to see Darth Malgus on the big screen
I would love to see the story of Revan. Preferably set before KoToR and see the whole Mandalorian invasion of the Republic.
Tv series about troopers would be nice!!!! Or Movies about them I mean when they first start recruiting them. After the clones, like tow brothers who will see each other on the other side of what they believe, in the third movie!

pls more videos like this
Can you guys react to Mr.Robot? The last episode was actually one of the best episodes I've ever seen from anything, ever.
The thing I’ve been waiting for is the PROPER battlefront 3. That and a marvel vs dc movie.
TV show should be about Rogue Squadron that connects Jedi to The Force Awakens.
You fellas should do a regular Star Wars talk.
Personally I like the new trilogy to be about Jedi/Sith war.

I want an X-wing Squadron TV show. Rogue Squadron or Wraith Squadron!
Its GOT to be a KOTOR trilogy about the turn of Revan!
A Bane Trilogy would be awesome! I doubt they'll do it, but it would be cool.
Wow here before 1k views. Sweeeet!
Bane, revan or palpatine would be amazing. They are 3 of the most influential sith’s.
Hype for young Maul solo movie!
Can't wait for them to dump all the lore and just try something new and fresh. No Jedi conflict, no book characters, completely separate from all the lore. Exciting times where this doesn't have to fit into a timeline or even see anything in that galaxy. Not taking away from the original arc, just something refreshing.
what if the new stories will be a kids version of starwars.... like the old ewok movies but this time with porgs...
I think eventually it will get to a point where they might be putting two Star Wars movies a year
dude, youre alive! When can we celebrate your comeback to youtube? I miss you man
I hope not. I like Star Wars being a yearly event and more than one a year seems overkill. Different with Marvel where they have very different locations and established characters. Lucasfilm needs to prove that they can step outside the box before they move to two Star Wars films a year.
Think they will have to, I'd love it.

You guys need to react to the Agents of SHIELD teaser, please!!!!
where is the new blizzard cinematics reaction guys ! (pls)
Have you guys given up on the RPG tabletop series?
I'm always down for some more Star Wars, but I think that this announcement was a mistake.
We already have three unreleased movies waiting (The Last Jedi, Solo, Episode IX), it was way too early to reveal a new trilogy. You gotta build up expectation to get people really excited.
I was going freaking crazy when Episode VII was announced, because I had been waiting years for this.

I hope they do early Sith like Darth Revan, Darth Bane or Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorion
guys new overwatch shorts
I believe were getting the old republic trilogy and that Snoke is in fact from the old republic era who has been imprisoned for all these years. I wish they would have a star wars story movie focusing on some type of Starfighter squadron. Like top gun but star wars basically.
rocketcon maybe? I never read them but maybe...
Old rebuild baby
Out of topic but with the last jedi coming in i think its fair to theorize a possible "Zuko" storyline for kylo i mean maybe hehe anyways Blindwave all the way! p.s would love movies based on the old republic
Y'know one little era that has BARELY been explored in any medium, weirdly? The span between Episodes 1 and 2. There's ten years there. I'll take as many Star Wars movies as they want to give me!
Hope we get a TV series set Post Episode 9.
Knights of the Old Republic, RIse of the Sith, Jedi Sith War
REVAN TRILOGY PLEASE!!! Ep I- Mandalorian Wars, II- Darth Revan’s Sith Empire, III- KOTOR I
19:17
You're welcome
I'm hoping for a Old Republic movie type... But they might go The FIRST Jedi (The Last Jedi...) or a Revan storyline, PLEASE!!!!!!!
Nice. Really hope it’s about the old republic start out with the foundation of the jed’ai order and the rakata infinite empire that lead up to the death of darth plageius/invasion of naboo
I don’t want any skywalker stuff on this new trilogy! We need a dark side character trilogy now!
I hope they do 2 or 3 hour and a half long episodes per season, like Sherlock does.
Tom Barnes never gonna happen it would cost way way too much money to produce a Star Wars tv show with episodes that long. We’re lucky to even be getting a live action Star Wars tv show at all they’ve been trying to do it for years but the problem has always been the budget
Omg shane your bloody brilliant.
"Well i hope he doesn't have a sex scandal" hahahaha great. Keep up the work blindwave
