A great pattern for Bluegills, and nicely done. Thank you for the video.

Really well done!!! I tie bass jigs and lately I've been doing a lot of hair jigs as anglers were going finesse due to the heat of the summer. I recently began tying marabou and using small whiting hackle as well as saddle and chenilles and that jig you just made has me wanting to try ostrich herl. That is a well constructed and a really nice jig sir, keep on tying!!

I love the Ostrich Herl try using it as tail material, you'll love the movement you get from it. I use it in bass streamers as well. great stuff!
    Thanks for the kind words.

Nice explanation. I've only done hair jigs and marabou jigs. This will help get me started with chenille body jigs.

No problem casting as this is only a 1/32 ounce jig. I haven't used a spinning rod in years. Although you can use this with a spinning rod. place it under a float at the desired depth and slowly retrieve. Or without a float and jig it.
    Thanks for the question!

I like tying ball jigs but I have a hard time with the thread falling off the end of the lead I guess I need to build up at the end it just seems like a waist in thread . But I like your Jig . I know this is an old post glad it`s still up .

Use pliers to make a taper in the end of the lead.

This is an awesome fly/jig, but I gotta ask, do you have issues casting this with a fly rod? Or do you use a spinning rod for it?

Could you cast these with a 5wt fly rod?

Sure can no problem at all. I've seen beadhead nymphs that weigh more.
