This is an incredible bluegill fly! I'm currently teaching my 7yr old son to fly fish and this fly yielded a fish on almost every cast! They just hammered the hell outta it! It worked equally well by itself or as a dropper behind a foam popper or your foam dragon pattern (another great panfish fly btw). I even had a few doubles which was very cool! Now I'm headed to the vise to tie up a bunch more of these in multiple different colors. Thank you for sharing your excellent patterns and keep up the good work.
As a side note if anyone's interested.. I didn't have any lazer dub or chartreuse beads so I tied them with black beads and used chartreuse ice dub. Worked extremely well. Also I'm gonna tie some on #8 size hooks bcuz I found that a lot of the fish were just inhaling the #10s and made retrieving the fly quite difficult at times.

Dude... ripped into a lot of large bluegill last night on this fly. They SWALLOW it! Definitely adding this pattern to my panfish box.
