I actually took the “naked after teleporting” joke as a realistic take on teleportation because, unless your teleportation powers extends to things you’re touching (which would mean you actually possess matter manipulation as well in order to take said matter with you), there’s no way you can actually teleport anything other than your body lol.
But it does extend to the people he touches. So he can only teleport living things, maybe?
@@ASMoney13 True. Maybe he could also teleport inanimate objects but he has to master his powers first. Much like how Butcher had trouble using his laser vision at first but got better at it.
See that reminds me of the terminator 1 & 2. They moved through time all naked! Only live matter could be transported.

From what I have read he was on a list of possible actors but he never talked to them or vice versa because his schedule was to busy and there was no way to work around it (filming supernatural)

Dude, that "Not quite" from Butcher is to show how different he is from Homelander. Homelander would say he's comparable to Jesus, and there are subtle references to this throughout the series. Butcher knows he's far from it. He sees his own flaws, while Homelander refuses to see his, which marks their most significant difference.
I also thought it might have been a reference to Lucifer, season 4 episode 1, the bad guy in the car says 'Jesus' and Lucifer replies 'Not quite'
I don't know why that made the video, it's just a bit of humour really.
If someone said "Jesus" with Homelander around, his reply would be "No, even better" or something.
I guess i can see the gollum reference but homelander talking to himself in the mirror, is a direct reference to Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin from the original live action "Spider-Man" movies

Its not a direct reference in the way some of the other things are. Yes it happened in Spiderman but it would have happened here too regardless.
@@hardrightturn7502 Perhaps "direct" isn't the correct adjective idk but he definitely drew off of that. I mean Antony Star's voice even sounds exactly like Dafoe's green goblin when speaking on the mirror versions side of the dialogue. There's just no way that the scene wasn't intended to be reminiscent of that. I know how Kripke's mind works at this point in my fandom lol
"Not without my Dolphin" 7:08 is a parody of "Not without my Daughter" -- a super serious movie about an American mother who moves to Pakistan and then arranges to leave with her daughter.

Iran, and it was supposed to be a 2-week visit. And that's why she had to go to the Swiss embassy repeatedly, because if she'd been in Pakistan there would have been an American embassy. But the story's only "far back" if you're young, I guess.

I thought the fight scene between Soldier Boy, Butcher, Hughie and Homelander at Herogasm was more reminiscent of the fight scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron where you have Vision, Iron Man and Thor against Ultron. That's the vibe that scene gave me!
#19 was imo foreshadowing him easily opening the jar after taking temp V few episodes later more so than him hurting himself imo. That showed that even after temp V wore off some effects (both positive and negative) persisted.
The jar is absolutely foreshadowing the jar later. Also after using v24 hughie is able to open a jar in front of annie on his own.
My favorite reference was when Butcher told Huey, "you don't want any of this", referencing when Duey walked in on people doing drugs in Walk Hard and they said the same line to Duey
I love that everytime they want run time the start the sentence with “ this may not be correlated to the boys but” hahaha I’m dead
Wait, you've never heard of the movie (based on a book with the same title) called "Not Without My Daughter"? Starred Sally Field, as an American who married an Iranian, and during what was supposed to be a brief visit to his homeland is kept a virtual prisoner instead.

The scene between the Deep and Timothee is one of the most disturbing scenes I´ve ever watched and I don´t know why, because I watched a few, but that one... OMG, I really had a rough time watching that.

For The Deep, eating Timothy was like cannibalizing a friend, while the friend was still alive. So, yeah, that's disturbing!
I hated when they made me feel sorry for his character 😂 thats how you know the writing is stellar. Deep is a crap person but they definitely make you feel bad knowing they’re like friends to him
The only thing weird about the paper he was grading was the fact that it was called a social studies assignment. But it most definitely a vocabulary assignment.
I don’t know why but I truly have the feeling Homelander will get a “Am i the bad guy?” kind of ending. He starts becoming self aware only at the end when he realizes he is to late to stop his own actions.
That would contradict the comic way too much. A lot is different from the comic but that would just be crossing the line.

Y-you know Dragon Ball and Anime in general came loooooong before Harry Potter.
February 26, 1986 to be exact for Dragon Ball, first ep. But Beam-O-War goes back even further than that... Superman Comics, and Supes appeared first in 1938, but he didn't have heat vision yet.
The beam thing might have been around for a long time, but if you watch Corridor Crew's VFX breakdown, the lead VFX Supervisor for the show said they did it to mimic Harry Potter and Marvel movies respectively.

Not Without My Dolphin is not a Hallmark spoof it is a spoof of a made for TV movie in the 80s called not without my daughter. I mean I'm coming here for Easter eggs and would love to get correct ones..

you might’ve missed this! in the Nicaragua scene young edgar foreshadowed the soldier boy plan by saying offscreen,
“is everyone good with the plan?”
then noir replies,
“everyone except gunpowder”
then, young mallory sneaks in to hear about how noir wants to take his mask off
foreshadowing to what, the plan to send SoldierBoy to Russia? If so, thats not what foreshadowing is. That was actually a part of the plot, not foreshadowing.

@@stephenmoney4722 An example of foreshadowing would showing a shadow subtly cast over Maeve's eye in S3E1, the same eye she would later lose in the season finale.
Edgar was literally forwarding the plot with those lines you mentioned, it wasnt foreshadowing. Foreshadowing is subtle and seemingly unrelated, its not device to further develop the plot. Look up some examples and you'll get it.

Starlight is from Iowa. Not by any means part of the South. On the side of the North in the Civil War and west of the Mississippi. Truly in the center or the Midwest. No biggie when ever I go on vacation people often confuse it with Idaho and Ohio.

The reason the camera stayed on the paper Todd was grading was to show that he's a social studies teacher. So he's an avid Homelander fan who probably echos some of the rants Homelander has recently had televised. He was excited to send a bunch of anti establishment agenda to MM in order to argue why it's good for Janine to hear Homelander talk about being a God who is better than everyone and hoe we should be so lucky that he graces us with his presence. I'll bet he played that speech for all of his students(potentially 6 or 7 classes worth, I didn't catch what grade Sally , the quiz taker, was in) for weeks and cited it for ridiculous things. Like Government..."this isn't how it's supposed to be and Homelander is fighting it'; "Homelander is a perfect example if someone clawing rheir way back from being 'cancelled'..
Sorry for the rant, but that Social studies page made me dislike Todd immediately
