I had my cat Star for nineteen years and she was so good in the car. I stacked up pillows in the front seat and she sat right next to me on road trips. But she didn't care for trucks. Whenever one of them passed us she dove under the seat til they were gone and then back up to the pillows she'd come. Your cat seems like a dream for a traveling companion. Sorry about the 2am poops though. I think they do that on purpose.
I'd really like to hear from more ppl that travel w their cats. Mine is 6 yrs old, has done some travel, 5 hour jaunts, but he's in his kennel and doesn't like the kennel at all. I've opened the door and he heads to the floor. So I'm deeply troubled about having to rehome him when I hit the road. Ideas?
My husband and I have had a Toyota hiace 185 for almost 3 years and it has never failed us. It is very reliable, actually we are about to star a road trip around Australia. You have a very good set up! Loved your video!!!
Nice van and love your sweet kitty. That pop top is such a great idea. It gives you lots of head space and the screened in windows on the side are great for ventilation.

I don't know if you have enough solar power but they do make those little tiny self-contained air conditioning units you should check into it... no bigger than a shoe box. It was so weird seeing you driving on the "other side of the road" and sitting on the "other side" of where the steering wheel is from America 😳 I don't know if I could ever get used to that over there LOL I have a couple of cats myself, God bless you... you look like a wonderful good soul ❤ stay safe!
😂 It can rain a lot. But I used an outdoor kitchen on a camper van for over six months in Queensland and it only rained once - got takeaway that night.
Is the cat allowed out during the day? If so then is there a problem of it getting lost or not coming back when its time to move on? Moving for cats can be stressful because they want to map the territory for safety but they can get spooked and then get lost.
Some cats are quite “ homebodies” especially if neutered.... but yes, I wondered too. Hard to know if the cat you have isone if those more doglike “stick with you” types, plus not being able to access NPs etccoukd be disappointing. But.... each to their own! 😉

I have one of those actually, but to be honest they aren't very efficient. I'd say mayyyybee a 1-2 drop in temperature at best!
