In this series of videos, we compare the testimony of Wendi Adelson in each of the 3 trials for the murder of Dan Markel. Markel was murdered in 2014 in a hit operation ordered by Wendi’s brother, Charlie Adelson, who was convicted in 2023. The other trials were for Katie Magbanua (2022), who was Charlie’s lover and middleman between him and the gunmen, and Sigfredo Garcia (2019), the triggerman and Katie’s kids’ father.
Wendi’s mother, Donna Adelson, was arrested after Charlie’s conviction at the airport attempting to flee on a one-way flight to a non-extradition country. Donna is charged for her role in Dan Markel’s murder and will be tried in Leon County, FL in 2024.
IN THIS VIDEO we rewatch Wendi testify about post-divorce motions for sanctions and contempt that her ex-husband filed against her (aka “The Sunshines Motion”)

I was an attorney for over 40 years. People involved in litigation are interested in every aspect of their case. Only a complete lack of candor would cause someone to say they "didn't take a motion seriously."
Exactly! As a former litigator in my expensive experience, nobody goes to court and spends the money on motions and hearings bc they ‘kinda hope to get a favorable ruling…but not too seriously concerned about the outcome’. I’d like to see Wendi’s lawyer fees related to her relocation motion and Dan’s motion and ask her if those thousands of dollars is consistent with “not taking them serious”. Agreed. They took everything very seriously. Donna was thoroughly involved & also griped that they paid the lawyer $600 an hour.
Wendi is arrogant and condescending but she is no match for Georgia, and she obviously has no regard for Dan Markel, he was superior to her in many ways. It would seem she is still living I. His shadow. I really really hope she will be arrested soon. Then there can be real justice for Dan Markel and his family ❤
As long as we keep bringing light to the situation, Dan Markel’s name will never be erased or forgotten which is the very thing she wanted most of all. #justicefordan
It is unbelievable that the "Sunshine motion" wasn't a big factor, or unremarkable for Wendi. She tries to play dumb and it is insufferable. To say that someone restricting your own mother's visitation with her grandchildren wasn't of consequence or not taken seriously, is just not believable at all...Wendi's mistake is she Thinks she's the smartest person in the room. I like how Georgia does not get flustered, stays on course with her questioning
Georgia stayed calm and collected...she already knew the crazy and unfounded claims that Wendi would be making.
I do not know how Georgia Cappleman keeps her composure while dealing with Wendi’s lies.

Like many others, they probably thought they were too rich/powerful/well-connected to be be implicated...what did Charlie say "who are they going to believe a wealthy dentist or a Latin King?" Shame on them.
Told my mother about this case, and she believed the family was involved immediately.

But I do believe Wendi. Neither she nor her family took Prof Markel’s motions seriously despite the fact that his legal genius because they ALL knew that none of that was ever going to make it to court!
There is nothing she says thats honest. Not sure how you’re getting that conclusion. You need to watch more on the case honestly. Her hate was so deep and apparent
I’m not sure when the fatal idea was first considered by one or more Adelson but remember her relocation motion was fully litigated and she said she didn’t take that one “seriously” either. Thanks for watching- I like your name/handle!

'WE' all know the answer to the "grandma motion" question from repeatedly watching the trials. So, why does Wendi feign confusion, or memory loss, when she's asked those EXACT same questions in each trial? In the 2022 & 2023 trials, I was able to answer Georgia's questions, out loud, in real time. If 'I' knew ... how come Wendi didn't?

@@AnneMarieMoyer the list is long. But these last few times on the stand, we can see how she is prepared to seem oblivious. When her mom is on the stand we will see if she can keep that up. I suspect that she will have a tougher time when it's her turn.

Rausbaum will defender Wendi during Donna's trial. It will go horribly wrong for Wendi when she takes the stand. I expect some fireworks about the constant lying and question avoidance.
@@MishaJanice I suspect that she is attempting to thread a needle. First, to play dumb as we are seeing over and over again, this won't work when she is grilled on the stand. Second, run out the clock (so to speak) hoping that the State stops at Mom. I sense that the state has evidence we just haven't seen. For instance, Wendi clearly communicated with others about the divorce, but she made it sound like it was not important. That doesn't match the little we have seen. If there is any communication via whatapp.

3 things i'd like to note.
1. Georgia is asking questions spareingly because when Wendi was supenaed she was given imunity to any answers given that was new knowledge except if she purjured herself(which she does). So Georgia is saving the best questions that will pin her as guilty for her trial.
2. Narsisits actually believe their lies as truth. Its the story they tell themselves and when confronted with proof of lies, they will double down with their false truth. Its how they live their life.
3. When this is all said and done, 7 people will be in jail. That how serious Narsisim is. People dont realize the possible dangers, of the people you work with and or meet in public. She seems nice but, most people have no idea what they are like in a home or marital setting.

Wendi claims her Mom didn't know of the Motion for Donna to have supervised visits. Yet, Donna made a comment to her grandchildren "Dad's trying to take her sunshines away from her". She was aware, and Wendi knew Donna was aware. Liar!

Upon initial encounter, Wendi comes across as intelligent, independent, charismatic, charming, captivating; the whole package. Jeff LaCasse said something that’s incredibly accurate……. Something to the affect of : The first 48 hours, she immediately catches you in her web. You think she’s the perfect woman (he mentions many of the characteristics that I just listed). But after those first couple of days, you realize that she’s batsh_t CRAZY. I agree 1,000,000% and pray that a jury will too.

Thanks for doing the thinking work and making legal jargon and procedures understandable for us who respect justice but don't know the intricacies of the legal profession. It is interesting to consider how our own current experiences with a bazillion video calls will color her testimony- I’ve had more video calls with my kids as toddlers than I can count, and I agree, it’s not that hard!
Ok so it's not only me that thinks that! There's so much to look out for when picking the jury- experience raising toddlers!
Wendy is confident she can lie, she knows that Dan can’t speak from the grave . And Mama the Primadonna cannot be forced to correct Wendi
I think it’s slippery when a parent all of a sudden decides to become very religious and strict, but the other parent doesn’t. That absolutely had to be a point of contention. What if the kids didn’t want to? Wendy and Donna certainly didn’t want to, so how did Dan expect to enforce it?
I don’t think Prof Markel became more religious - I think she became less willing to continue pretending she was religious. Remember they met on JDate.
She agreed to this pre-marriage. He probably couldn’t enforce but just another action on her part to be defiant
I have to agree with @rocksolidalibi on this one. I don’t think Dan became more religious all of a sudden. Unless I missed it I never heard Wendi or anyone say that pre-marriage he was eating bacon and cheeseburgers or not observing the holy holidays. I think regular marriage issues came up after the wedding and then kids were added to the mix. Pre-kids Dan only had to worry about himself staying kosher but post kids he wanted his kids to adhere too but Wendi didn’t want to and it impacted her control over them (as extensions of herself).

Wendi doesn’t fool anyone with that wide eyed innocent girl act. She and her family absolutely took seriously Dan’s motion for contempt and protective order - so much so that they arranged to end his life. Her stupid smile and unbelievable claims that she didn’t remember details or the outcome of his pleading is completely disgusting.
It seems jurors have felt the same way- she didn't fool them (at least not the ones who have spoken out).
I find it a bizarre coincidence that both Donna & Lori Vallow were contestants on "wheel of fortune"..... Lori's interview when she was competing in the MRS Texas pageant was prophetic. She was talking about being a good wife & mother & at the end said "i may be a ticking time bomb". She was a better prophet than old Chubs.
I didn't know Lori Vallow was on WOF as well!! Donna was prophetic as well being the "domestic coordinator" for the family in alll its pursuits smh

In her interview with the detective she tells him that on the way to the police station she feared she might be a suspect. Suspect for what? She didn't "know Dan was shot" until after she arrived there....? The cop didn't catch it but i bet Georgia's noticed it.

@@MishaJanice she's not nearly as smart as she thinks she is. She puts me in mind of Michelle Williams, the Florida woman that got her husband's best friend to kill him. It took years but he finally turned on her. It's satisfying when someone thinks they got away with murder but finally get caught. Like Rollo Tomasi in the movie "LA Confidential".
