I had a locknlube and on my excavator once in a while the pressure would build quite high before it would flow. I experienced some seepage of grease from around the fingers of the LnL coupler because they are spring steel and are extended out of the tube when locked on. The only force keeping them in the zerk in the spring tension. When I first saw an add for the Saker I found it interesting that when this design grabs the zerk it has the outer tube of the coupler supporting it and wondered if maybe it would work better under higher pressures. That would be a great experiment for someone that took the time to set up gauges and test the pressure at which each of these loose seal. Thanks for the video. Nice to see it works well under normal conditions.
Working around a farmer for 28 years, I’m sure my boss, Jon, will love this video. I’ll be casting this to the office TV first thing this morning when he gets in. 😊👍🏼
You’re welcome. These locking couplers are great but not for every application. I am convinced that on a couple of pieces of machinery that I have owned that there is an engineer laughing somewhere thinking of me trying to get onto a grease fitting.
looks to be a fairly decent product! I've been using the lock n lube for many years!! might have to look at getting one of those to put on another grease gun like you!! stay safe my friend 🍻
I like having both a locking coupler and the standard one. I find the standard one better in really tight spots. Thanks for checking in with a comment!
Very informative video Darrin. I’ve used the lock-n-lube for years. Like you I have several grease guns. I think I need to try the Saker on one of them. Thanks for the review
Thanks for the video. I’ve used a Lock and Lube for a few years and am disappointed. I have a problem with the L&L leaking and attaching to the zerks. Perhaps I’m not far enough along on the learning curve.
Hi Darrin. Great review. Maybe you can do a follow up review in a year or two on this fitting. I was thinking that the diameter was a little big, but glad it worked for you. Have a good one!
Thanks for the review Darrin. I currently use a Dewalt 20v electric grease gun. The problem I have is the gun gets locked onto the zert and I can't get it off. I accidently broke a zert off on my brush hog recently. I'm thinking the grease gun attachment may prevent that in the future. Thanks for sharing.
These types of couplers are great but not always able to get into tight spots. I have been thinking about getting a battery powered unit. The convenience is great.
@@woodruffwoods yes and the zerk breaks off 😂. Not every time but it does happen. If I unscrew the hose off the gun and relieve the pressure is comes off but is a pain to do ever single time
Hey Darrin. Never worry about product review. If you get something for free and have to do a review. So be it. Besides, we will know what and what not to buy. Thanks.
Appreciate that! I seriously did find this product useful and figured someone may benefit from seeing it. I just don’t want to be a channel that reviews a product just because someone sent me something. Now if only Husky would start sending me saws!!! Lol

I am going to see you this morning with your delivery so be ready to get on camera!!!
@@woodruffwoods Yikes!!!! Lol We are getting the porch cleaned and ready for the wood! 👍🏼
Ok I will be leaving at about 10am.
Thanks for the good review on the grease coupler , I'll look at both and for the money, I'll most likely go with the Saker.
They both work well
Thanks and that was a good tip to outfit your two grease guns one with each type.

They are a good stocking gift for Christmas as well!
Great video and very nice review!! looks like the saker worked out well on the JD. Thanks for the shout out I appreciate it, see you on the next one.
Thanks Tony. Hopefully it will give you a couple of subs. Are you going to Paul Bunyan
@@woodruffwoods unfortunately not this year. I am definitely going to make it next year.
May have to get one for my manual grease gun, have lock n lube on my Dewalt. Great review on a different coupler. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day

It worked great for me. I can see where the smaller diameter would be desirable. Like you, I like my lock n lube. Use it all the time.
Great video Darrin . Thanks for showing us this product .
Thanks Del. I appreciate you.
Great review Darrin! A locking coupler would be nice to have for sure👍👍
I find that I need both a regular coupler and a locking one. The locking couplers are a bit bulky for some applications.
Thanks for the video.
I’ve used a Lock and Lube for a few years and am disappointed.
I have a problem with the L&L leaking and attaching to the zerks.

I would contact them at sales@locknlube.com and tell them about your issue. It probably needs a new seal kit installed.

I thought the same thing Chris. It worked fine on the John Deere but I could see it being a challenge in tighter spots.

I think I'll try the lock n lube thanks for the comparison video 👍
You cannot go wrong with lock-n-lube. Great product!
Hello Darrin, Great Review, Take Care and Stay Safe 🚜🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
Are you going to Paul Bunyan?
@@woodruffwoods yes
Another good one Darrin 👍👏 Rick
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for always taking the time to comment.
The problem I am running into is getting the coupler to release from the zerk. With my standard coupler
If it is a standard coupler are you able to bend it off at an angle?
@@woodruffwoods yes and the zerk breaks off 😂. Not every time but it does happen. If I unscrew the hose off the gun and relieve the pressure is comes off but is a pain to do ever single time
@@mrglock2313 I have never had this issue. The Lincoln brand of couplers are very good if you are looking for something standard.
Nice comparison, is the Saker rebuilder as the lock & lube is.
Not sure of your question but the saker just comes as is with no rebuild kit. The lock n lube has a rebuild kit.
@@woodruffwoods thank you for the reply.
The Grumpy Farmer just did the same demonstration and he recommended the saker. He found less mess and leakage.
I will go check that out now
Interesting coupler .. I looked it up on Amazon if just buying one its $19.08 shipped with sales tax :)
That is funny. When I did the video it was 13 and some change then when I edited it was 23.99 and now another price. Some days I can't win. LOL
Happy birthday.. are you going to be in Los Angeles around November 5th??
Not that I know of but will definitely get your way at some point
Just purchased two
They work very well
I think I should get one
Definitely worth the money
