  • Review, Pros, Cons and a suggested upgrade. Overall I really like this grease gun, it's a huge time saver with our two tractors. For $150 (naked tool) it's well worth it!
The grease gun is available as DCGG571B (tool only) at amzn.to/3k71BH1 or with 4-amp battery, charger and case at amzn.to/3vWdbHJ
Suggested upgrade of the factory coupling with a LockNLube: amzn.to/3GYNjBg

It's true that for bulk grease you would reverse the plunger lip, but that has nothing to do with the port. What they mean by bulk grease is that you would stick the end of the tube inside a container of bulk grease and pull the plunger back to suck in the grease. The port is for transferring grease from another grease gun which is typically pneumatic pumping from a bulk container. There would be no reason is this case to turn the lip around because you would not be using suction.

I also added a LockNLube coupler, but I also added a LockNLube swivel for the base of the hose. I just feel like it makes greasing a little less frustrating with the swivel. Another point with the coupler is that you can add attachments. One end of the attachment will have a Zerk that you lock onto and then the other end might have a 90° coupler or a 90° with a cut-out if you have a tight fit. The needle adapters say to use with a manual grease gun, but I just don't pull the trigger all the way in and it works just fine.

Never had trouble with the original nozzle, greased many fittings and no issues. Had a smashed fitting once but a locking type wouldn't help with damaged fittings which I am certain. I'll keep the original nozzle. Any time I had the relief valve let out grease is when there was no amount of pressure going to grease it. Never got grease on my pants ever.

Great video and review, very professional!
When I pull the handle back to put new tube of grease in I’ll have a bunch of grease come out along with the rod. Any idea why it does this? I’ve been using since new 5 years and has always been an issue! Thanks again☮✌🏻

      Two things:
      1) make sure the lip of the rubber plunger points into the tube and doesn’t have any nicks or scars
      2) I had that happen on super cheap grease tubes, I guess their dimensions were off a bit

Is there a way to adjust that pressure relief valve?

Can't you set the number of pumps like Milwaukee?

No you can't. Just time it with the trigger. I want to see the grease come out of the sides of the bearing anyway.

Yes, they could have put it right on the trigger so you grease your palm. 😊
