Bought a new grease chuck, thought it was defective. But by accident found out by tightening outer chuck sleeve it tightened right up, but couldn't remove it to save my life. Wish l had known this years ago. It would have been nice if it had an arrow along with the word tighten on the chuck. Great video 😊
Been using grease guns for 60 years and NEVER KNEW about the adjusting tip on the end of the hose. Really glad to learn something at my old fart age !!
Very helpful video!!! I'm sure a lot of people who've used grease guns for many a years feel stupid and enlightened all at the same time after watching this video. I know I do.
Thank you for this! I'm ashamed to admit, I've been running grease guns for decades and NEVER knew this! And YES, like thousands of others (if they'll be honest) I've fought the very 'grease zerk battle' you just described!! ..... The sad part of utvall is, these 'problem zerks were usually in bad positions to boot! Thnx again for the tip! (Too bad to have learned it this late in life!) I'll be 75 in Jan.!! Lol Be Blessed.
You’re welcome!! It just goes to show you the old saying its never to late to learn something new holds true!! Thanks for watching for another old timer in the making!!😁 Terry
I'm 73, and I never learned that. I worked as an auto mechanic, factory maintenance, and other technical jobs. I own 6 grease guns. Tomorrow, I'm going to see how many are adjustable. This could have saved me lots of frustration, lots! THANK YOU!
@@ForestToFarm I'm 69 and on the farm but did learn about this 35 yrs ago. Excellent video but you should have mentioned that if the zerk refuses to take grease you can loosen the coupler to relieve pressure so you can get off the zerk. Then usually some heat applied to zerk will get it to accept grease again. Thanks for the video.
Lol i think we have all been struggling for years. For some reason I suddenly thought :"ya big dummy why you fighting with this thing?" Like you said, live and learn. Terry
I've watched thousands of videos on RUclips, and this is in the top five of the BEST EVER! I've always appreciated videos that people freely share their knowledge, and you sir are tops! I don't know how you thought of posting on this subject, but I see that it has a lot of views. Thank you so much! In all my years I never knew this about grease gun end fittings. Not being a professional mechanic, I wasn't taught about it, and it was something that had never come up. I always disliked grease guns, happy only to need mine about once a year now. My current grease gun has an end fitting that's too tight and has been difficult to get on and off. But I've owned grease guns that were too loose as well. Now I know what to do! Surprisingly, I wasn't even looking for grease gun advice, but this came up as a suggestion off to the right-side of a YT screen that I was on. I'm saving this video in my YT Reference section because I want to be sure to share it with others. Perhaps I'll find out that everybody I know already knew this. Many thanks!
This explained something so simple that I just didn't realize. The cheap grease gun I bought, didn't have an instructions to explain this. Awesome video, you sir are a professor!
I find that once you understand something it suddenly becomes simple. Thanks for the kind words. I actually wanted to teach professionally when I was young. We did not have much growing up so I went with what was best for my young family. While in college I tutored/helped most of my classmates. I find you learn more from teaching something than any other way. Terry
I started watching this video, paused it halfway through and went down to mess with my gun. I'll be darned, this is so helpful! My problem was never getting the thing on the zerk fitting, but rather getting it off. I'd yank and yank, and let the gun helplessly hang there, and think, "this doesn't seem right..." The close up at the end helped me see how it works, I was expecting the inner pieces to move more inward, but it's more of a "cinching" movement. Thanks for the tip and video on it!
Ha ha, I have had the hanging gun syndrome myself more than once. How did we make it this far and not figure it out?, lol! Thank you for watching! Terry
@@Tracer88 We loosen it back up to release it on hard to work zerks. Check back soon we are going to do a video on a new type grease nozzle that I think you guys will love. Terry
I did not know also , everytime I use a grease gun i could never end up getting the tip over the zerk nipple it just blew my mind , now that I watched this awsome video I'm a professional. Thank you 10 times .
Amazing how no one else gives these critical instructions to getting the coupler on and off the zerk. Thank you so much for putting this video together, with an excellent explanation!
You saved my life! I have been breaking grease nipples by forcing the grease gun with blunt force. Then I decided to find why and your video just explained it. Thanks!
I was breaking grease fittings off during the removal process. Of course I was jamming them on first off. I am an idiot. This video saved my bacon from more future damage!!
@@leftseat30 There was no rush so I left grease gun on backhoe overnight thinking the grease would seep into joint. No luck so I did know to loosen the 2 pc. coupling as shown to relieve pressure using two curved jaw Vice-Grips. I took fitting out and unclogged it with some heat and grease gun. Great video needed by many and no you're not an idiot because nobody explains this.
Good morning, sir, even if you don't believe it. This is information that I didn't know. And the truth is that it has helped me a lot because, due to ignorance, I have used the grease injector incorrectly all my life. Thank you for taking the time to explain this information. Saludos desde México 🇲🇽
Thank you so much. Just wish that I would’ve watched this video before I broke the grease fitting off of my lawnmower because I couldn’t get it off. At least you helped me get the old grease fitting out of my grease gun end. One viewer said in 50 years he’s never known that. Well I am 60 years old and have done a lot of mechanicing in my time and I didn’t know it either. & yes the close up was key to me as well.
Holy crap, I feel like a dang moron! Never did I once realize that with all the years I’ve used one. I’ve thrown so many grease guns away over the years that just didn’t seem to work right. Thanks!!
After reading a number if others' comments, I totally agree that, regarding grease gun manufacturers' instructions, they're generally either nonexistent or vague ... (unless I've overlooked it!) ..... I don't know how many times this video has crossed 'my old and feeble' mind, having been ignorant of this. I'm sure that Grand-Dad, who I worked with on the farm for decades never knew this either ..... Of the tears of combines, hay rakes, disks etc, we fought zirks all the way through. Even my dad as, who was a mechanical genius ... The man could overhaul anything made, from a valuable antique pocket watch to an old Army tank. (Literally) He owned a former WWII tank, and did repairs and service on it himself. In summary, what a Blessing the Internet can be when used for gathering info! Thank you again.
Been working on things for next to 40 years, and I’ve never known this! I too was “that guy” ripping the hose off the zerk with all my might; or holding with one hand and use the gun with the other. Thanks for posting.🇨🇦👍🏼
Thankfully you explained what I’ve been wondering about regarding keeping them locked into position while greasing. Thanks a lot man a lesson I’ll carry with me for life & I certainly appreciate it. 🤙🏻
I discovered this technique about a year ago on my own. It works wonders. Keep in mind guys and gals out there. Clockwise to loosen and counterclockwise to tighten. Saves the wear and tear on your jaws and the stress of pulling the tip off your fittings. Also the wear and tear on your fittings causing leaking during the process. It’s actually more enjoyable to grease things now. 😊Thank you for your video. Looking forward to more. 😁
Count me in as one of those who didn't know this info. Searched and found this after snapping off an aluminum zerk fitting on my outboard trying to wrestle off the coupler. I thought it was the new gun I was using. I went out and got a replacement coupler and got the same result. Thank god for RUclips (that's a really weird thing to say). Anyway, I went immediately to the garage and tried this out and now I am enlightened! Thanks for posting this.
You’re welcome! Seems almost everyone had no idea haha. Life will be a bit easier for all of us from here on out 😄. Thanks for watching and commenting! Terry
Thank you for such a detailed explanation! I was aware of the the trailer-hitch-type design, but the grease gun adjustment closeup really drove the point home. I noticed that my grease gun fitting had to be perfectly perpendicular to the zerk fitting mount to prevent grease from squirting out the side that is furthest angle. And it was very hard to get off when done with a zerk fitting. I was thinking about buying one of the zerk fitting clamp devices with a locking/unlocking lever, but now I know it's built into the grease fitting end. I checked to be sure and it is. You saved me at least $25 and the Pro one is $50. Isn't it great that a video made 4 years ago is still helping people? Thank you again!
Just bought a cheap HF grease gun to grease my new suspension parts with zerk fittings. It went on snug with zerk fitting but didn't come off by tilting coupler and pulling nozzle as user manual recommended. Watched couple of videos including this one, I learned about adjustable coupler at tip of nozzle. After loosening it by hand while holding another adjacent nut closer to the gun, it came off easily. Your advice will certainly help lot of people. Thanks.
No problem. Some times the simplest solution is right there, we just have to recognize it. I spent most of my life fighting those things, lol. Check back some time in the near future. We bought a new type of nozzle and I think its going to be very useful. Terry
I watched this while standing in tractor supply company and searching for a “grease gun adapter”-- a larger one. This video really helped me see I just need to adjust the tip of what I’ve got.🤯🙏
@@ForestToFarm Since using your method, I have been able to insert grease, but the thread lengths of my adapter are so short that I almost have to disassemble it from the tube, and the tube connector to loosen it adequately. Quite a greasy ordeal. I hope to find a similar connector with longer threads perhaps.
Thank you for clarifying this! I have been fighting the very problem for some time when servicing my vehicles. I dearly appreciate it. I just went out to my garage to check my fitting and came to realize it is broken. Fortunately I had a spare from I've had for years. Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!
I found that after a few weeks of experience that I could get the nozzle set so that it could be pushed on and flicked off without turning the barrel to change the tightness. After an absence of a few years of operating a grease gun I found myself have trouble getting the nozzle onto the zerk. I had forgotten that the nozzle twists to tighten and loosen. Thanks for a much needed review.
Holy COW!!! I have been fighting this for over 40 years! I was actually looking at two quick connect products for $35-$50 just to solve this problem. The INSTRUCTIONS don't even tell you this and I have TWO Lincoln guns....one from over thirty years ago and one I just bought last week. Sir, you are my hero...
Its always good to be somebodies hero! 😁I have a gun from when I was a kid nearly 60 years ago. Currently figuring out how to get the dried up grease out of it lol 😂. Terry
@@ForestToFarm FYI, I went home and immediately looked at both of my guns. BOTH were screwed on very tight. I loosened both and, yep, they too are adjustable. I disassembled the old gun tip, cleaned it and reassembled it. Both are identical and fully adjustable. Thanks again! BTW, if your old gun is not aluminum and, if painted, you don't care about the paint, grab a pound of pure lye and mix it with about 4+ gallons of water (water first, lye last!) in a 5 gallon bucket and then place the gun in it and cover for a few weeks. It will only dissolve the petroleum products and leave the rubber and steel alone. I use it all the time to clean and restore old cast iron cookware, meat grinders, sausage stuffers, etc. I currently have a bucket with cast iron and tin plated grinders in for almost a year with no effect on any of them.
Thank you! Wow I am glad I found this video. I do alot lubrication on the machinery and conveyors at work for the past 5 years. We learn something everyday. Thank you :)
You are welcome! I have asked many many people if they knew this. Not one person did. For some reason one day it hit me smack in the face, ha ha. Sometimes the simplest solution is right in front of you, you just have to recognize it. Terry
I can’t believe I’ve never seen this before. Does the grease gun explain this when you buy it new? Thank you so much, I’m sure there’ s a million people out there that didn’t know this. Fantastic info. Thank you again.
You are welcome!! I have never seen any instructions telling about it but they may exist. I have not come across a single sole who knew about it before I/we told them about it.Thanks for watching!! Terry
Mine sure didn’t but advertised it has an adjustable end. I didn’t even know how to properly load the gun lol. And then didn’t know what the rear rod and spring was supposed to be doing. Sheesh. The manual didn’t explain anything
I’m so glad you put this video on RUclips. I was having trouble getting my grease gun off the fitting on my lawnmower today. My hose doesn’t allow you to spin the end, but I spun the entire grease gun and it came off! Wonderful!
No problem. Let us know if it does not work like the one in our video. I have been hearing there are some that are made in a different way these days. I have yet to actually see one. Terry
NOW a flex line on the end of a grease gun makes sense ! Your video should go viral ! I don’t want to think about how many of these ends Ive replaced over the years !
Ha ha, Thanks. I think pretty much everyone feels that way. Sometimes the simplest solution is right there in front of you. You just have to see it Terry
I had no idea of this solution to a problem I have with both of my old grease guns. Three days ago I even ordered a new locking fitting for one of the guns. Thanks for a little-known, but very timely, solution to a very common problem.
No problem. Your welcome. I think most of us are in the same boat. Funny how a person can live a lifetime and not see something so obvious but it took me over 50 years, lol. Terry
It is rare that when I'm searching for an answer to a question like the the one I'm having now; "This new grease gun's fitting doesn't line up properly to get the grease into that little hole in the nipple. There has got to be a proper technique to inserting the nipple into the fitting. What is it?" But here you are answering directly. You are my hero. I just bought a grease gun, and I am new to the tecchniques and proper use of the tool. I'm going to have to wonder about on your channel and see what else you may have. "You're a good man Charlie Brown."
A super light bulb moment for sure!!! I have a mini gun I have never used because of the "potential" mess.. Lately I've been contemplating just going ahead and deal with the mess and try to get some grease in the fittings. Now I will have the confidence to get the job done right the first time. THANKS!!!!ASAAA
I did the same as Joe Soslick, I went out and check the grease gun that I have struggled with for years here on the farm. I never knew that I could do that with the fitting. Thank you. Cheers
Your post was 6 years ago, but still very useful. I just bought a new grease gun (I must have loaned out my original one around 50 years ago) and I couldn't get the darn thing to fit on the zerk. Like others, I felt pretty stupid when you showed me the "secret". Thanks to you and others that share these little tidbits that help to prevent blood loss and broken marriages.
THANK YOU! I'm new to using a grease gun and I was getting very frustrated trying to grease the fittings on my John Deere mower. After a few hours of on-line research to find a new coupler for my gun, I stumbled across your video. Immediately went to the basement to try this and VOILA!! So long to the "hold it tight with one hand while pumping with the other" knuckleheads! I wish the instructions that came with the grease gun would explain this. Again, thank you for your simple, straight-forward video.
Been tuning cars since I was 13, now I am 58, and only now did I figure out by a hunch that this must have been the way it was designed in grease guns. I had a new pneumatic grease gun yank the zerk right out of my mower wheel. The instructions on the gun did not mention anywhere the adjustment. many folks don't know this including many on RUclips. The knurled end of the fitting is a huge clue. Thanks for your video being so clear!
First time grease gun user-this was so helpful as the "instructions" on my gun don't even mention this. I guess they assume only experienced mechanics would ever own a grease gun?
Glad to help!! From what I gather almost no person has figured this out. I guess no grease gun instructions have the information on how to do this? I have never seen any. Terry
Thanks for this! I've been using grease-guns for more than 60 years, and had no idea....and I still call them grease nipples. You can only go so far in the PC direction, but never too old to learn.
You’re welcome!! I agree on the PC. “Ace is the place with the helpful hardware Folks”. How ridiculous. I am 61 and was helping dad grease stuff pre 8 years old when he had a heart attack. We always called them nipples back in the day. Maybe we could call them grease utters? 😂. And yes never to old to learn. Thanks for watching and the comments! Terry
Hi...dont know what to say... Ive been using grease guns for many years and hadnt realised the jaws were adjusterble... Always had to fight to get it on n off.. After watching this i went out to the garage at 11.45pm to check my grease gun and it seems your right. Will check my others tomorro.. Thanks so much.
Your welcome, Lol, I know what you mean. I was as surprised as you are. Not sure what made me think of it but sure glad I did, ha ha. And it only took 56 years to figure it out! Terry
Ha ha. I have owned a few of them and always wondered why I was so incompetent with a grease gun. Most tools are a breeze for me. Then this idea hit me and it was a AH HA moment!! Terry
Great video, very informative as well. This video was very helpful, believe me. I bought a grease gun just like yours, it came with that same grease nozzle , but I didn't understand why the tip was turning. It didn't look like the old solid dinosaur type grease nozzle, now thanks to you I know how to use it.
Thanks! It does help to understand the thing, haha. Took me 50 something years to figure it out. We recently bought the Lock N Lube nozzle. Should be a video coming some time in the future about it. I have a feeling its gonna be a good tool. Thanks for the kind words. Terry
I never knew that, nice tip. Hey Terry, I have that same exact grease gun, I have a constant problem where it doesn't like to pump grease. Its like it has no pressure. For any suggestions for that problem? I just want to pitch it sometimes.
Hey we are actually doing a video to be out very soon explaining some tips on grease insertion. I think it might help you! Did you notice the spring loaded bleeder valve on the top of the gun. We never had your problem yet but that may be the cause. Terry
Be sure you primed it with grease the last time you changed the cartridge, and that you have bled all of the air out of the system. It may take several tries to get it going. There are several RUclips videos on how to bleed the air out when you change cartridges.
I want to thank you for your video that you put out. My husband was greasing the bearings of our camper and the Grease gun got stuck to the nipple. Try to find a video to help get the grease gun unstuck. But the videos only told you to twist the grease gun and tug on it and it will release. That didn’t work. Watching your video showed us how to do it and now we’re ready to go. Thank you for your video again Patty Bradford.
Thanks for posting this! I had the opposite problem - the coupler wouldn't fit on to the zerk at first. Once I loosened things up (took a lot of effort) I was able to couple on to the zerk with no problem. Thought I was going to need to purchase a new coupler! Thanks, again!
Just a note, not all grease gun tips are adjustable. Most decent newer ones are now and I find you need to adjust them when using or they will stick on when trying to remove or fall off when greasing if you do not adjust them. The ones that are not adjustable work okay most of the time but you do need to hold them in place to some degree.
True I had to buy an accessory which came with this type of fitting. The one I had that was nota adjustable was so tight that it snapped the fitting on my jack...
I have never seen these adjustable ones, I am going to have to find one for my old Alemite grease gun. The old style does come apart, and you can take the jaws out and reverse them when they wear, but this new one looks like a much better idea.
@@jusportelI have a grease gun that was my fathers 60 years ago or so. I used it as a kid but left it set for quite a few years. The grease set up hard in it 😂. Haven’t ever tried to clean it out. Wondering now if it is adjustable. Gonna have to get on that. Thanks for watching! Terry
Ha ha. When I was just a child I would hang out with this old man in his workshop/ garage where he did odd job repairs on just about anything. He was a WWII vet. He went in at 15 year’s old as did many kids in those days. He only had a 4th or 5th grade education but he was very smart about fixing stuff. I learned so much from him and he had so many good stories to tell. My mom asked why I hung out with him over my freinds most of the time? I said because he teaches me stuff. I never thought of myself as being the teacher. 😁 Thanks! What the heck, one more. There was an old man about 85 working at a trash dumpster location. He again had very little education. This was about 35 years ago. He had some many interesting things to say. So I would go on Saturday mornings when he opened and hang out many times till noon just talking with him. One day my wife pulls up about 11 am and says “I thought we were going to the movies this morning?” I said sorry I forgot. She said you are the only man I know of that has to be hunted down at the trash dump. No cell phones back then. I asked if she would rather I hang out in a bar lol. She said no this is just fine🤪. I have many more but I have to go get ready for some work today. Thanks for watching! Terry
When I get to heaven, I'm going to ask my grandfather if he knew about this... Here I've thought for years that nothing in our shop would take grease. Thanks for the tip!
Okay, you have saved me a world of annoyance! In 3 weeks I'm going to be using a grease gun for the very first time on my Trabant 601, had no idea this thing turned, and even if I somehow noticed, I never would have imagined tightening was relative to the grease guns' hose! WOW!
Its amazing how it was right there in front of us our entire lives. I honestly do not know what made me think of it but it seams no person I have come across knew about it. So simple yet so overlooked. Terry
Ha ha, I was thinking the same thing. I suspected it might work that way and never tried it until recently. I honestly do not know if the older ones are any different. Anxious to check that out though. I have one about 35 years old. will check it out tomorrow and report back here. We bought a tractor recently so we have a lot of grease work to do. That's what got us looking into it. Crazy how things work out sometimes. Terry
Sad to think that there are only 66,000 people that know this as I add my name to the list of people shaking their heads. I was just getting ready to write a letter to a company that put "defective" grease fittings on my new piece of equipment!! Phew, I dodged a big one.
I got ya beat. I didn't even know what that weird thingie was. (the Zerk, that is!) I bought my FIRST wheelbarrow tire and it was there. I couldn't find any tire place that explained it. Not I know. I'll have to go and buy me a grease gun - once I know how often I need to use it! Thanks.
Thank You! I made a beeline to my two grease guns and sure enough they adjust as you demonstrated, they were both a little tight but now turn easily, I will grease gun with ease from now on, I recall throwing a gun into the trash because it was always too tight.
Haha 🤣 crazy to think about all the people in the same boat as us. I have a grease gun from when I was a kid and it works that way and I am almost 62. Thanks for watching and commenting and the honesty! Terry
Oh my lord ! I am truly shocked. Had to go to the garage at 1:00 am to look at my tip to see if this was the same as mine. Wasn’t enough, had to even hook it up to a fitting also as shown and THEN unscrew and just like that it came off. Holy cow best tip I ever seen. Even helps out for on and off for those hard to get to fittings. I knew all along something just ain’t right with these dang grease guns to struggle like this Ha Ha! Thank you so much!

My wife and I recently bought a cattle pasture just shy of 40 acres (previous owner's cattle sold after the sale), built a house and equipment. Some of the equipment has zerks that require periodic greasing. It's time to perform this periodic greasing and this video was perfect training. Thanks FTF!

Glad to help!! My dad and my grandpa would both have done the same! My dad was a genius 😁. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. It helps us grow this channel. It would not hurt my feelings a bit if you shared this video far and wide😃. Terry
Very well explained including the detailed close up, well done! I knew about the adjustment already, but still fine that my grease nipples often leak when pumping them; sometimes it helps to wiggle free the closing ball on the nipple, as they might be stuck/blocked. I know ordered a spring+lever grease gun hose, which hopefully works even better.
Thanks for the kind words. Yeah sometimes you have to loosen that ball. We have a “Loc N Lube” with a lever. Never used it yet haha. Looks like it may not always fit in tighter places at times. If we ever get to using it we will need to keep a second gun around with the standard set up for tight places. Thanks for the comment and for watching!!

Glad it helped you!! Sometimes the simplest solution eludes us all. Thanks for the kind words.
Terry
This explained something so simple that I just didn't realize. The cheap grease gun I bought, didn't have an instructions to explain this. Awesome video, you sir are a professor!
I find that once you understand something it suddenly becomes simple. Thanks for the kind words. I actually wanted to teach professionally when I was young. We did not have much growing up so I went with what was best for my young family. While in college I tutored/helped most of my classmates. I find you learn more from teaching something than any other way.
Terry
@Doug Thanks! Glad to help.

You are welcome and thanks for watching!

You are welcome. Yeah I think most people were in the dark about it. It just hit me one day. I was like you blundering boob, lol.
Its is great! Thanks for watching!! Love helping people.
Terry

Its always good to be somebodies hero! 😁I have a gun from when I was a kid nearly 60 years ago. Currently figuring out how to get the dried up grease out of it lol 😂.

Did you notice the spring loaded bleeder valve on the top of the gun. We never had your problem yet but that may be the cause.

Be sure you primed it with grease the last time you changed the cartridge, and that you have bled all of the air out of the system. It may take several tries to get it going. There are several RUclips videos on how to bleed the air out when you change cartridges.

Thanks for the input. People have asked but I was not sure. All the units I have come across thus far were adjustable.

Thank You! I made a beeline to my two grease guns and sure enough they adjust as you demonstrated, they were both a little tight but now turn easily, I will grease gun with ease from now on, I recall throwing a gun into the trash because it was always too tight.
You’re welcome!! Glad to help and thank you for watching!!

69 years of incompetence exposed here 😫………was it always like this ? 😂
Haha 🤣 crazy to think about all the people in the same boat as us. I have a grease gun from when I was a kid and it works that way and I am almost 62. Thanks for watching and commenting and the honesty!

What a lifesaver. I lways avoided using a grease gun do to the fact that I never understood it but you sir. You explained it so simple.
Ha thanks. Sometimes the simplest solution is the most overlooked. Glad to help! Thanks for watching!!

Awesome, I'm six years late but just greased both U-joints in my Tacoma and 4runner. Wish I knew of this little trick. Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome! Better late than never lol 😂.

You are welcome. Its crazy how easy it is once you figure it out. No one I have to talked to knew about it. So glad to have helped you out. I was like you and thought what am I doing wrong, lol.

My wife and I recently bought a cattle pasture just shy of 40 acres (previous owner's cattle sold after the sale), built a house and equipment. Some of the equipment has zerks that require periodic greasing. It's time to perform this periodic greasing and this video was perfect training. Thanks FTF!
Your welcome! Glad to help! It makes things go a little easier. Its frustrating trying to hold the nozzle while also trying to hold the grease gun and pump the handle. You kinda need 3 hands, lol.

Simply one ne of the most helpful videos on RUclips for me. Thank you very much!
You are welcome and thank you!

Very useful! Some users complain about grease gun because they do not know what you teach in this video.
Thank you! I agree with you.

I’m also 64!! Thank you! This does change things!
You are welcome!! Never to late to learn!!

Amazing. I broke a fitting yesterday from my floor jack.
I did know know you could do this....
I try to pull so hard...
Lesson learned.
Thank you
Your welcome! Ha, it seems not many people know about it including myself for many years. Live and learn. Glad we could help and thank you for watching!

I'm 64. I also never knew this. My dad would have taught me this and didn't, so I'm sure he didn't either. I'm going to spread the gospel of grease now - far and wide. My grown children will be hailed as lubrication geniuses. I recently bought an expensive locking fitting and now I feel it was a waste of money. Thanks for the tip!
Glad to help!! My dad and my grandpa would both have done the same! My dad was a genius 😁. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. It helps us grow this channel. It would not hurt my feelings a bit if you shared this video far and wide😃.

Terry
Thank you for making this informative video! You were clear, concise, and quickly to the point of explaining how the gun and fitting works!
You’re welcome and Thanks you!
