I didn't stray too much from the original track in this one, there is already so much going on that I decided to just go with the flow and play the phrases that Dominic Howard wrote, that already compliment the song so well.
There are a few fills here and there that I loooove, though.. like I mentioned in the BTS video of this cover, I improvise 99% of my fills.. so I'm always surprised when they sound good :) FUN song, as always with Muse.

I didn't reach a minute of listening to his drumming and is already on of my favourite drummers!! he plays with soul and has fun when he plays, I think he enjoys it and is what many drum players have lost. Such creativity and spirit, keep on man!!

Never seen that brand of cymbals before, honestly though not a fan of their sound. They seem weak and die out to quick. Cobus is awesome though.
I agree, there's just no sustain to their sound, and a song like this needs more aggressive symbols. I love the rest of his kit though, and a great cover.
that brand is called TRX, i personally really like their sound, but cobus switched to sabian anyways.
TRX cymbals bro, they're awesome, they open up really well, especially the harder you hit them, the better they sound lol.

Indeed, and this is why he can make N'sync sound like the most amazing band ever. It's a cover, which means he creates something else with the song, not replicate what Dom Howard does.
