      The Pattersonic is quite pricey, are you sufficiently pleased with it? Does it get mushy at all being so high output?

    I love the tone and the way you play the riffs. Black metal is easy until you want to play accurately to the recording. You nailed it, I watched the video just to listen to riffs

  • @Asegraut
    @Asegraut Год назад +4

    I think that Burzum s/t and Det Som Engang Var are quarter tone up, Hvis Lyset is F standard. DMDS is quarter tone down, but the same songs from Life Eternal EP are in standard tuning. Aftermath of some studio trickery, I guess.

    @youknowwhat8438 3 месяца назад +2

    I don’t think it had to do with the tuners at all. Tuning technology in the 90’s was terrible so typically if someone wanted to play along to a recording of their favorite song, they would just tune to the recording. Tape warp is also an issue within the hertz realm. If you were to record on an 8 track for example, the hertz of the original recording would warp. A couple cents flat or a couple cents sharp. That’s just one theory anyway.

    I hated live in leipzig at first but now it might be my favorite live bm performance. Euronymous has such a fucking sick tone. Theres a ton of gain on it and I know its an hm2 but I cant get my hm2 to sound like that at all.

    • @DevGohil
      @DevGohil  Год назад +2

      Think it was hm2 and Sd1

    • @honeybadger1810
      @honeybadger1810 Год назад +2

      @@DevGohil I’ve been messing around with my sd1 and my hm2 and an equalizer to boost and cut some things and I’ve pretty much nailed the tone. You have to plug into the front of the amp to get the right sound, those old Marshall’s don’t have fx loops

    Being a noob, but knowing all notes must be in harmony, i wonder what changes beyond the pitch occur. Is it how it is more comfortable for the musician to play? Is it the dynamics of the instrument itself?

    Do you think it's a good idea to use a compressor pedal (like a Keeley) before going on an interface, for high gain tones?
    I find my sound lackluster/weak (using active pups) when compared to some ToneX riff samples

      @@DevGohil ToneX seems to be quite good - it's all the rage these days, and the sample riffs for the presets it comes with, sound VERY full, unlike when I play them with my guitar (even though I have crazy high-gain pickups), that's why I was thinking about fattening up the clean signal, before goin into the audio interface.
