@mxcmead6 Still on my bucket list. I swear every time I try weather blows us out. I need to get back up there soon for that dive and to get some lionfish. You guys have a ton of those invasive critters up there and they are delicious! Plan Your Dive and Dive Your Plan, Blake
This is an incredibly useful video that I can't recommend enough. I'm used to using an array of apps for (airplane) piloting planning, but never appreciated how many apps for diving were out there, or that they could similarly improve my dive planning significantly. Thank you for making this.
@galvstudent1 I’m glad you enjoyed the video and the tips are useful for you! That’s just one of the reasons I started this channel. Hearing that viewers get value from the content is the greatest gratitude you could imagine! Plan Your Dive and Dive Your Plan, Blake
The wind finder app looks great! I’ve had at least one charter-dive blown out every time I’ve gone to FL for vacation. Vandenberg wreck, Shark Dives off Jupiter, etc. Looking forward to using this next time I’m down there!
It's a great tool to use. It's saved me time lol. Unfortunately, the weather doesn't always cooperate but Florida is still (in my opinion) the best place to live and dive! Let me know when you're down here so we can try to plan a dive! Plan Your Dive and Dive Your Plan, Blake
Agreed! I cold-water dive in the quarries here in Ohio, but there’s nothing like diving in FL. Especially the Keys. I’ll be back next summer for sure, but hopefully earlier. I’ll definitely connect with you if so!
This might sound dumb, but are there tides on a lake? Do I shore dive on a low tide or a high tide? Isn't low tide means just mud since there's no water? I think what I'm lacking is general knowledge, not about how to dive/ buoyancy, etc, but more to the "how do these dive guides know which direction to go and can come back to the boat?", and how do they know when's the best time to go diving in a certain location? If you drop me from a boat and to dive for 1 hour and arrive close to the boat, I'm almost 100% sure that I won't be where you want me to be. Any tips? Thanks.
All bodies of water have tides but depending on the size they may be too small to measure. Here's a helpful article from NOAA: oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/gltides.html Plan Your Dive and Dive Your Plan, Blake

Some good ones on here. Divey is awesome too! You can learn a lot and it's useful too if you just want quick answers. Fish ID is sweet!
Glad you enjoyed the video. I'll have to check out Divey. Fish ID is indeed VERY awesome!
