Nice video showing the entire process.

Aren't u supposed to get a manifold with two first stages for a DIR setup?
    Even for a single tank

What would you like to isolate on a single tank with a manifold? You can have double cranes on a single tank however for DIR is one crane is enough. Cold water diving could make you get a second crane or just go for doubles.

      @@nielsrad i meant cranes.
So two first stages on one tank

Hi buddy, you can not have a manifold on a single cylinder, you could use an H valve or something along those lines. We prefer to teach divers to use a stage or bailout cylinder if they are going to depths over 30m, and good buddy techniques for shallower dives. If the need for redundancy increases we transfer them to twinset or sidemount setup.

@@provuksmc6619 ah, double valves you mean, yes that only works with an H valve or similar setups which are not common use in the UK at all. Having double valves doesn't make it DIR if that is what you are asking. It's merely a solution used in various European countries for cold/deep water single tank diving, in the UK a redundant cylinder is favoured for deeper dives as it gives true redundancy.

@@scubadivinggear i thought itd be DIR since GUE teaches like that and they stick to DIR very strictly.
