    It's good the R7 can shoot 15 fps mechanical, since the sensor has a poor readout speed (31.7 ms) with electronic shutter and produces intense rolling shutter. R8 doubles the readout speed (just electronic) same as the R6 Mk II I own, and both are the fastest non stacked sensors (14.5 ms) in the market.

    • @johnmorrisproductions
      @johnmorrisproductions  Год назад +11

      Yes! Rolling shutter is definitely suppressed, it is still there though. The mechanical is going to be better but not always necessary. Overall, I have been impressed with both cameras.

    R7 is far better for the price and has IBIS which r8 doesn’t. The full frame isn’t worth it on the r8. Rather go higher if you’re going to spend that money

      IBIS is way overrated, the R8 paired with a lens with staib is actually better for not having IBIS, no wobbles in the corners is better IMO. The R8 digital staib is better than most of the Sony's with IBIS.

      I think the dual card slot are meant as using a backup in case one card fails. or is their any other use as well ??

    • @johnmorrisproductions
      @johnmorrisproductions  Год назад

      Absolutely! Either you can use one for back up or, you can use one for photos and one for video, or you can use one after the other. It’s pretty versatile!

      Not necessarily, I use extremely fast frame rates for sports all the time. 🙂
