I love watching Micah. She is such a smart girl. When I was training my kids, I bought a children's book about going potty and washing their hands afterwards. I bought other books that they only used when sitting on the potty. It made the experience a happy one for all of us.
Yes taste test with Micah, I love her face when she eat the icing/frosting. She’s got very good hand eye co-ordination. Potty training, big girl Micah.
Oh Micah... My heart! She is just the cutest. I was a sign language interpreter and taught my son to sign at a very early age. I kept it going even after he could talk. Such a good thing for communication. Toilet is essential like the signs for milk, eat, please and thank you. Cutest thing ever to teach I love you. ❤️ Her and the cupcake... My heart is full! My son use to lick the icing and give the cake to his grandma. 🤟 Love, from Florida
As another fun (and cheap) activity for Micah, you can dye pasta noodles into different colors, shapes, sizes etc and for her coordination skills, teach her how to thread them onto a shoelace or string..... it could be your first piece of (semi) edible jewelry!
Micah is just precious!! She reminds me of my daughter at that age. She even resembles her. Micah is very smart and advanced. I think she’s ready. The doctor told us that if they’re interested in the potty then they are ready to start learning. You guys do such a good job parenting Micah. It’s so sweet to watch. Getting those craft items and boxes was a great idea for Micah! Good luck with potty training! Sending hugs 🤗 from NC!
The little potty looks great. I love that it goes on the normal toilet seat. The cupcakes look delicious and I would want the brownie flavor. It is priceless that Micah only ate the frosting.
It is so fun watching Micha hard at work organizing and sorting her little boxes and then when she was pretending to eat them and going "mmmmmmmm" 😆 I love her!
I have always been advised to wait until the new baby comes to potty train, if they're around that age. My twins will be just shy of 18 months when baby #3 is due in April. When new babies come, there's often a regression in potty training, which is why most people advise waiting.
It’s crazy seeing her grow and to see how mature she is getting. When I watched the time lapse of her playing with the hearts I was like omg she’s so smart! But best of luck with the potty training guys I know she will get it in no time!!
Oh my heart! Micah is just too precious! It was so cute watching her play with her new toys while you were in the kitchen doing whatever it was that you were doing!! It was just so adorable watching her play by herself and see her sort her toys how she thought they should be sorted! I’m not a mum but I saw advice for potty training somewhere else that I thought sounded good. They said that doing it over a few days when you know that you are mostly going to be at home, which is good for you guys, since you both work from home. The advice was to give and encourage the child to drink as much as possible during the daytime hours and then just sitting her on the toilet every 20-30 minutes for a few minutes and if she does anything in the toilet, make sure that you make a big deal about it, praising her and telling her how clever she is etc. while still keeping her in pull ups, so that if she doesn’t make it to the toilet, it’s not a big deal. Then once she has got it, obviously put her on the toilet immediately before going to bed and then when you guys go to bed, lift her out of hers and put her on the toilet, my sister and cousins all do this and say that their kids mostly do not even wake up while they do it, but will still pee when they are set onto the toilet!!! I wish so badly I could get those cupcakes!! They look so delicious! But I live in Australia, so I’m guessing they would probably not be good by the time they got here!! But if I was able to get them, I can guarantee you that they would not be around for long enough, to need to go into the freezer!!
Micah is so stinking cute! What a smart and funny girl! My daughter potty trained herself, basically, around 20 months or so. I had a mini potty in the bathroom and when I went, I just brought her with me and she sat on hers. She caught on to the idea quickly. When she just so happened to go, it was a big celebration and tons of praise. She always hated being in a wet diaper (she’d grab my hand and lead me to the diapers and lay down 😂) so once she realized she had a better option she took full advantage! I’d keep doing what you’re doing; normalize it and see where it goes. If she’s not ready, no worries; it’ll come. But if you can get her trained before the new baby how amazing would that be?! Good luck!
Ok, I thought Micah with the toys was amazing, but her with the cupcakes!?! I too could totally watch a fully vlog of her... and I second the need for more Micah taste-tests!
I loved loved loved how Micah moved the plate on her own to get the cupcakes. I remember so well we were in a lovely neighborhood Italian restaurant and my daughter who is now 13 saw the delicious garlic bread so I gave her a piece and then I took the plate and put it back in the middle of the table and she literally grabbed it and I said no no let mommy have it and I went to pull it back and she growled and I’m like oh my God she must be my daughter because I am a carb person myself and with the garlic in olive oil I just couldn’t couldn’t stop from laughing
Go to the dollar store and let her pick out a bird and they have books, stickers, etc. most of them have a craft isle. Every thing in the Dollar Store is $1.00 for each item. My 4 grandchildren loves it when I bring them things from that store and great for the budget! Micah is so smart and she knows what she wants! She will be a great big sister to the new baby! 😎🤗🌹 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
That is a great toilet training seat Jess, wish that was around when my kids were little. Poor Austin, his little girl is growing up. Micah has so much fun with sorting. 💖💖💖💖💖💖
With my niece, we actually had her watch kids around her age go to the bathroom on the toilet. It's something about seeing friends that helped her start using the toilet.
Oh my goodness. Micha’s personality is really coming through on today’s vlog! That sweet girl is hilarious. ‘Do you think that’s a phone, Micha?’ Brilliant! ♥️
I absolutely love Micah. She is so funny and precious. I swear i wish you guys could post everyday. You guys always make my day and Micah always makes me laugh. Also could you guys do a mukbang one day?
my Granddaughter put a magnetic board up in her sons room ( he is the same age as Micah) Melissa and Doug have really cute magnets! he loves it! she just made some pouches out of construction paper then got some colored craft sticks for him to sort and match
it doesn't matter how old you are the icing is always the best part. Also I thought it was funny when Micah grabbed the plate and her cupcake giggle was so cute .
When I did potty training with my kids, it was getting them used to the idea of a schedule for using the toilet. When they would wake in the morning I would take them to the toilet and read a training book to them, then before and after nap time, and again before bed. The training book stayed in the bathroom and was read every time they sat on the toilet. Also, if we were going somewhere, before we left I had them "use the toilet" . I found consistency (although tough sometimes) was the best. Dedicating the one book (a quick read) for the toilet teaches through repetition as well. Good luck, stick with it once you start and you'll do great.
Hey Beautiful! Glad you're feeling a little better. Sorry this 2nd trimester is whoopin ya. I loved how Micah wiped her brow as she was sorting. Like it's hard work. So stinkin cute!
I potty trained all four of my kids before they were 2. 2 girls and 2 boys. I put them in a long T-shirt without any bottoms on. Basically trained them like you would train a puppy. Keep her little potty in her sights at all times. Reward her every time she actually does her business on the potty. I read the book “how to potty train in one day”. It was very helpful. If they poo on the floor (and they will doing it this way), have her help you put it in the potty. Let her know that’s where it goes. It only took them one time going on the floor and helping clean up (with a wipe in hand obviously) to get it. As long as she’s old enough to communicate, she can potty train. Good luck and lmk if you have any questions. I’ll be glad to help.
Good luck with the potty training!! Since you got her some stickers for reward for going on the potty put and paper by the potty and every time she goes she can put a sticker on the paper 1 sticker for pee and 2 for poo poo. I have a almost 3 year old and she is potty trained but the sticker trick helped so much it is way better reward than candy especially if she loves stickers. Oh and make sure you put the date on the corner I was super surprised on how fast she was gaining sticker and you can put it in the baby book.
You're so lucky! Micah is SUCH AN AMAZING and INTELLIGENT BABY! she's already ahead of the curve knowing sign. Make it an everyday part of her day just as eating, drinking ,etc. Using the sign for pooping and peeing while still in her diaper! Then as you notice her going simply bring her to the potty using those signs of course teaching her to associate. With LOTS OF PRAISE it will take her NO TIME! Girls are MUCH EASIER thankfully and you have an incredibly smart little one there who soaks up knowledge like a sponge!!! Happy Potty dances coming your way LOL (you laugh but you'll be doing it thinking of THIS)
You try the "Potty Training in a Day" book. I did it with my daughter when she was a year and a half and she totally got the concept that day, and within the week, (aside from a couple accidents), she was potty trained.
@@PunkMel2007 I tried to find my original book because it's been 12 years since I had to use it, but I had no such luck. There seems to be several books on the same principles. Super condensed it said: get your kid's favorite salty snacks, (pretzels, chips, popcorn, etc.) and favorite drinks, (water, juice, milk); lock you and your little one in the bathroom with easy to clean toys/books and a potty; leave your little one bottomless and just work on them recognizing the urge and getting on the potty quickly. Provide high praise and rewards such as stickers for every successful release and calm, reassuring tones for unsuccessful ones. I also used a potty doll for my daughter. I used the same method, 10 years later for my son, who's now 3, and although it took him a little longer to catch on, it definitely worked. Just have patience and it will happen. Hope this helps.
Oh gosh Micah just eating the frosting is making me smile SO big! I seriously don't know how yall get ANYTHING done with her around, she is just the cutest ever, her hair is 100% like my sister's was as a baby (finally lost the floof) and my gosh she has given me baby fever big time. Edit: THE IPAD HAHAHAHAHA
Yay , hellooooo, how are you all , haven’t even watched it yet, just going to make myself a cup of tea, and sit to enjoy your vlogs , wish they could be hours long 💕
I have a time capsule type small tote I have for my son. Has his first birthday cards and his first hair cut curls and his baby book and a bunch of other things.
I use to take my daughter with me when I went to the toilet at 15/16 months and point when I’d goto the toilet and we would clap when I’d finish and we just kept doing it and eventually she got I and was toilet trained by 2 :) monkey see monkey do. But no pressure with toilet training, she will go when she’s ready
Love the blogs. My daughter showed me that she knew what the potty was for when she was 11 months and I was potty training her 30 month older brother. Thought woohoo😀 But it was too early for her and left it until the summer she was 2. Easy to change her little knickers etc. Learnt that very little ones can only hold a teaspoon of urine in their bladder so 5 minutes. Too early potty training can lead to sense of failure for both of you. Also found it easier to have two in nappies ....no time to get un used to stinky nappies😀😀😀Good luck.
We’ve alway tried to start potty training 18 months. Just slowly introducing them to the potty. Most of our kids were fully potty trained by 2 years except our oldest, but we moved in the middle of her potty training which caused some set backs.
Oh wow!! She loved that!!! I have a 14month old her name is Charlotte Rose 🌹 I bet she would love something like this as she got a little older. Micha is so adorable!!!
Micah reminded me of my son eating cupcakes. He only likes to eat the icing off the cupcake. Every so often he’ll eat the whole cupcake now that he’s 11 almost 12.
Good signs to watch for to help potty train her is if she wakes up dry. They have to potty when they first wake, after a meal, or after a snack or drink. And before bed. Ive seen alot of people do the mistake of yelling at the child for pottying in their pants and make them sit on the toilet but it makes it worse because once you go potty you cant instantly go again and the child now hates the potty cause it becomes a punishment. As far as a bathroom sign you could have her place her two hands down kinda between the leg knee area in a squat position and this will let u know she has to potty. I loved the laugh smerk she made to the firdt cupcake omg that got me so priceless. You said you wanted crafts for her. Get pipe cleaners the fuzzy ones found in any craft store or isle. Get a box of fruit loops or apple jaks and show her how to place them on one end keeping the other end in a bent up position so they dont fall off. Once she fills it up then you twist it well and place upon her wrist and allow her to bite on the cereal as a snack. Also take a plain board spray paint it with chaulk board spray do it several times so the board is evenly coated. Allow it to dry well. Then allow her to use chaulk on it use a tissue to erase. Also look up the recipe how to make toddler edible playdough allow her to play with it. If she puts some in her mouth or her fingers its ok cause you know its ediable and it wont harm her.
My daughter loves eating the frosting off the cake, then leaves the cake Haha. Glad your feeling better jess. Micah is adorable and is growing up so fast.
We don't even know how she learned to do that, haha. We don't often have cupcakes, but she knew exactly the part she wanted! Must be engraved in their DNA haha
My eldest was dry and out of nappies at 18 months and in a big boy bed where as my youngest son was 2 before he even would sit on the toilet and 2 and a half before we finally conquered potty training
Micha is so adorable She will be toilet trained b4 u know it my 3 year old son is fully toilet trained no nappies for him anymore my middle child however is interested in toilet training but still not quite there yet.... love from Australia
I started potting training my daughter Myah at 6 months she is now 14 months and she will make grunting noises when she wants to poop most poops are in the potty I use a potty that looks like a toilet and makes flushing noises which she loves. There is a great potty song by coco melon on RUclips I recommend. My idea is just to get her confident in the potty and not afraid to use it now while she is young rather than wait until 2 when children get a lot more stubborn. I was a nanny and started potty training a child that was just over 2 and it was hard as he was terrified of the potty. Also children are great at pooping at similar times of day which also helps. I love watching your family and Micah is adorable 🥰
I bought the potty seat and the free standing mini potty when my daughter was just over one and a half years old. I was pretty open with her and sometimes let her come in to see how Mommy uses the potty, and let her sit on her little potty with me in the bathroom at the same time. We just kind of got comfortable with the idea of it for probably 6 months, and then I just started getting the message that she was ready to try. Once you start, though, I have read that you’re all in, or you might risk a kiddo choosing to use a diaper when they don’t really need it. She took 2-3 weeks to get good at it, and then she only had an accident occasionally. She just turned 3, and she almost never has an accident, although I do keep the little potty around in case we’re on the 3rd floor of our very vertical house. Just sharing in case you wanted something to compare to. I was always curious how other people did things.
I could easily watch a 20 minute "Micah vlog" of just her playing with sorting toys. She is so cute!
Saaaaame
I know shes so cute and INTELLIGENT! A mini genius
So cute, the way she laughed/smiled when she tried the cupcake was adorable. Good luck with potty training xx❤💜
Haha i know that was adorable!
Micah’s reaction to the cupcake was the best! Thanks for sharing! Super cute🥰
I could watch Micah all day she is so adorable.

Micahs smile and laugh when she tried the frosting is soooooo cute!!! Omg!❤️
So cute. I had to rewatch her laughing enjoying a cupcake. ADORABLE
Yes taste test with Micah, I love her face when she eat the icing/frosting. She’s got very good hand eye co-ordination. Potty training, big girl Micah.
Micah seriously needs her own channel! My whole family is cracking up!🤣😂🤣 Her chasing the dog when you were talking in the kitchen... hysterical!

my Granddaughter put a magnetic board up in her sons room ( he is the same age as Micah) Melissa and Doug have really cute magnets! he loves it! she just made some pouches out of construction paper then got some colored craft sticks for him to sort and match
For myself we waited with my first two, as I was expecting and new baby can cause a potty training regression.
Which cupcake do you want?
Micah: *points to all of them*

it doesn't matter how old you are the icing is always the best part. Also I thought it was funny when Micah grabbed the plate and her cupcake giggle was so cute .

Awe her smile eating the cupcake too cute. Awesome video you guys keep making them ✌️💖😀
Micah is so very smart. She is absolutely adorable. I loved watching her with the cupcakes.
It’s definitely possible. All my babies and nieces and nephews were trained by 18 months

Oh wow!! She loved that!!! I have a 14month old her name is Charlotte Rose 🌹 I bet she would love something like this as she got a little older. Micha is so adorable!!!
She so waited for that 'please' 😂 #MicahVCupcakes is my new favourite thing! ❤ xx p.s the left colour is my fave
So glad your feeling better x
Micah reminded me of my son eating cupcakes. He only likes to eat the icing off the cupcake. Every so often he’ll eat the whole cupcake now that he’s 11 almost 12.
Congrats for your 2nd pregnancy! ❤️❤️😍
I think it may be too soon for most. But if she catches on and can communicate it with you, then i support 100%
Those cupcakes are soooo expensive!! Even with a discount. I’ll eat a regular guilt free cupcake from my local grocery store and save $30. Haha
you guys are really great parents. Love your little family :')
Your family is the cutest! ❤️
I like the top 2 aswell but the one on the left which is probably on your right lol x
Micah's laugh is adorable
That was a great big dose of Micah. Loved it!
Loved when Micha was pretending to eat. 😍
SO cute and smart!!
What a smart.little cutie Micah is!
Micah is so smart
My eldest was dry and out of nappies at 18 months and in a big boy bed where as my youngest son was 2 before he even would sit on the toilet and 2 and a half before we finally conquered potty training
That little hop 😍😍
Micha is so adorable
She will be toilet trained b4 u know it my 3 year old son is fully toilet trained no nappies for him anymore my middle child however is interested in toilet training but still not quite there yet.... love from Australia
I could just watch Micah. She is so adorable 💕
Honestly Jess didnt even get to the part about having a promo code before I already had a box of cupcakes in my cart.
Lmao yes!!!
