When mine were lil, easiest way to get them to learn colors and numbers... use it all the time. Literally. "Would you like a yellow banana for a snack?" "Do you want water in your pink cup?" Use the descriptive words with every single thing you say. You will be surprised how fast they catch on.
I used underwear for daytime only the first two days.. every hour taking my son to the toilet by day two he was letting me know.. once he got that down on night three I layered the bed with towels and put him on underwear.. he would wake up letting us know he needed to go potty but a few times he had accidents.. consistency is key and be very patient.. do not get upset if she has an accident.. good luck!!!
Loved the video💜 I am a preschool teacher and with potty training is something you just have commit to the panties and deal with accidents as they happen 😀 good luck👍
So I just did my boy the first day I sat my little on the potty in the living room and let him sit on his potty and watch TV almost all morning and every time we would pee we would get a mini marshmallow. Poop a bigger marshmellow! Then after the first day we went bare bum no pants no nothing for about a week then moved to underpants after that. This is after trying alot of diffrent stuff but I found it started to x Confuse him when not sticking to one way. And they deffnatly need to know how to pull up and down pants! At least down because if your nursing like I was it makes it harder to stop nursing to help go potty!
I like the can lights as well. I remember my niece potty training and she picked it up fast because she got an m&m every time she went. Once she was use to just peeing we told her she could get 2 if she pooped. It was a task but it worked fairly fast.
Yes I yawned, such happy girls, Micah is growing up quickly, please tell her hi for me, she has a smile that just melts you. Lol you sit watching and then you find yourself saying hi back to Micah, when she says hi to you. ❤❤❤❤
Big thing what we would do at my last daycare even if she loses interest KEEP GOING and keep encouraging her to go! If you stop it'll show her that's how she can get out of going by essentially " giving up
Yep! My family calls me Pookie even today(30) bc I used to ask for the Pebbles hair but couldn't say it haha.. the pook do! Now all my siblings and parents call me Pookie Haha
I am a teacher in toddler room the biggest this is to let her lead I know that sounds crazy but it really does help. I would try and get her interested in it and maybe get her own potty or a potty seat that's goes over the toilet that has a character or something she likes. It will go smoothly. ❤ I dont think you missed it though!
Few things I did for potty training is saying bye bye when flushing the toilet, being over excited about everything, and sticker charts are perfect for rewards
Awe Micah's hair was so cute. Looks like pebbles on the flintstones..lol . The lights outside are awesome. Crossing fingers all goes great with potty training. Love yall.🥰♥️🙏💚💚💚💚
Love Micah resting on your shoulder saying hi💕Jess the little girl underpants are adorable. But not to freak Austin out let him know this. When I ordered our 13 yr old daughter bralettes my husband (dad clueless) said “Laura what were you thinking those won’t fit you” 😂😂I replied “they are for Caroline” he was speechless and shook his head in disbelief. Don’t even get me talking About when we needed to buy deodorant ,razor & feminine products. I was having a true no way moment. You both have a long way. But it fly’s by so enjoy every moment.
I was completely potty trained by my grandma in the 2-3 days my parents were in the hospital having my younger brother. We lived in DC and went to all the museums and the zoo!! My younger brothers both showed an interest and when my mom put them in normal underwear they had there first accident and hated it so they learned very quickly! All the luck to you guys ❤️💕
Baby P is smiling so much. Micah's vocabulary is really getting bigger by the day - I think she is going to do great at potty training. Can't wait for an update.
So cute how she warned about the injury and remembered to say people can look again lol I just imagine someone looking away for the rest of the video 🤣
The lights look great! That’s cool, they change colors!! Also, once you start potty training, don’t stop. It’s better to bite the bullet and just get it done by staying consistent until she’s trained. I trained my own kids all by the time they were 2. Kids are so smart. Micah will do great!
I’m sure everyone and their mother will be posting this tip but as a childcare provider I would also like to say how handy it is to have the reward system for potty training. After they use the potty they get a gummy worm or Hershey kiss or m&m, etc. It’s easy for sitters and nanny’s too. 😁 The other idea I really liked is the constant timer for the adults to remember. Set a timer for half an hour or so and just reset it. It’s a good way to start the praising and rewards for the kids to start leaning that the toilet is a good thing. 😁
They make potty training underwear, so there’s a little extra cushion in case there is a accident. But they are totally underwear! That’s what we use, we are training my toddler too 😅 We also overly get excited & make sure we praise him for using the potty so it encourages him to go again!
Something my mom used to do to me and my sister while potty training, she had an alarm set for the middle of the night. She took us sleeping to the bathroom, sat us on the potty and said quietly "you can pee". Then we peed in the potty and didn't pee on the bed. Which helped a lot! It was very successful
Beautiful family ❤️ just remember that it may not work for Micah and it's much more than 3 days, it can take a year and then you also have to do bed time after and they can get older and still have accidents.
Love Micah moo🥰 she’s getting so big and Paige looks so much like her . I have been watching since yalls 1st Anniversary .. love watching y’alls channel .. God bless you!
Yes, Page made me yawn. I just discovered your family from Page’s birth vlog and loved your personalities and have been watching ever since. Your family is soooo cute! I love you guys!
I wish you luck. I started the process with my daughter around 2 and she fought me until she was almost 3. Having a plastic fitted sheet under her regular sheet is key for accidents, we accidentally ruined one mattress during our process. Ask her every 30 to 40 minutes if she has to go potty, that way you can try to limit the amount of accidents. Good luck!
I love those lights! I heard somewhere that if you yawn at the same time, you share an emotional connection. Speaking of working out, Micah’slittle frog jumps got me thinking they could also be little toddler burpees. Unpopular opinion: I actually like doing burpees
Daniel Tiger potty song is pure GOLD!!! my 5 year old still sings it (helps her 2 year old brother!). we also really like the "Countdown to calmdown" song! For potty training we used Oh Crap, worked for both my kids just before 2 years old! Good luck!
The girls are just the cutest 😍 Some things we did with our son: took him with us to the bathroom every time we had to go, gave him an m&m every time he successfully used the potty, we didn’t fuss if he had accidents just reminded him to use the potty and we danced too when he used the potty 😂. Seemed to work! Good luck!!
My children we all turning two when we stated toilet training. I waited till the warmer weather, had underwear (pull-ups feel too much like nappies for them) and just asked them constantly if they needed to wee. It helps to have the potty in an easy accessible spot. 🌸🐨🌸
I'm sending you luck and prayers on potty training. My son is 20 months old and I just started potty training at the beginning of the month. 2 weeks ago he was going on the potty at least twice a day, now I can't even get him to sit on it. Just be patient, she'll get there and so will he. I was given the advice to set an alarm on your phone for every 1/2 hour, with a song they really like, and have them attempt to go. They say after a week or so it becomes habit. Sounds like a lot of work but I'll try anything. Also I definitely yawned when Paige did. Great videos and even greater family.
One of the best tips I received back years ago potty training my son was to stop his consumption of all liquids by 5 pm. to lessen the chances at nightly bed wetting. Also I made it part of bedtime routine to have him brush his teeth, then time to go potty one last time before getting in bed. When I did that, it made the potty training process easier.
When I potty trained my daughter we used panties under the diaper at first. That way she could feel when she was wet but it was still contained by the diaper. Works great for nighttime training as well. It is harder for them if you flip flop from panties to diaper at night or trips, so this method resolved that.
Good luck with the potty training you just need patience. I love your lights, they look so lovely and you can change the mood with them. I'm impressed xx
When my oldest was around 2, we got her a "big girl" potty, and put it in the bathroom across from our "potty" and she would come and sit on it while we did our business, within a month she was using her potty and two months later she was using our potty. So my advice would be to follow Micah's lead, she'll let you know when she's ready.
When I potty trained we figured out what she loved the most and that was the reward. It happened to be bandaid with characters on them but it's what excited her most.
Hi Micha !! 👋 Her Vocabulary is getting so good. The lights look great. Just be consistent with just sitting on the potty. Especially before and after sleeping. good luck
Back in the day we were told the kids would let you know when they were ready. They would either try to or completely pull off soiled diaper then you knew. Nights will be harder than days, except accidents. If you don't want to use pull-ups at night might want to get a mattress pad to protect mattress.
Good luck potty training!! Maybe do a sticker chart or reward her with candy m&ms everytime she goes!! Also I also put on a show when I do my daughters hair it seriously helps
Yes Austin your little Micah is ready to be daddy’s big girl. She is so beautiful but she ready to learn to be big girl. Jess your are a fantastic mommy. You got this girl. Love the videos. Love y’all. Have a wonderful 4th on your gorgeous deck.
It took me a weekend to train my first daughter. I put her in an oversized tshirt with no diaper/underwear. I put the potty in the bathroom and just had her sit every 30 minutes or so. I did stickers and cheap little thing's from the dollar tree and said if you would like a sticker or treat you need to try to sit on the potty. Started on a Friday and she was good by Sunday/Monday. I was shocked! My boy's were much harder.
Glad Austin head is healing well. Your outdoor lights are beautiful. Glad you were able to get to the gym and workout like you wanted to. I know you’ve been missing it. Also Hopefully Micah will be easier than my niece is on the potty training. Awesome vlog. Love ya
The little rubber elastic work awe Micha looks taller to me awe n baby smiles are the best you guys are a Amazing family my fav keep making awesome videos ✌💖😊
What I found worked best for me when potty training my girls was using the cloth training I underwear. They are quite a bit thicker and the outside is water proof material. My girls hated the feeling of them being wet that they stopped peeing in them quite quickly. It was not long and they were able to use regular underwear during the day and the training ones at night.
I NEED those deck lights!!! Where did you get them? The girls are soooo adorable! Gotta potty train my son soon. Probably closer to 2 years old so about 6 months or so but I will watch for queues.
I love how literally 5 seconds of this video was about actually potty training haha. Yoi guys are so wonderful. I just adore you and I wish my marriage worked out like yours has. What a dream. ♡
Micah is such fun and a big girl now, Paige is adorable, do I see blue eyes ?? think i do.also glad to see Micah's hair off her face , haha good to see it all coming together for the Spomers ....
1. Yup totally yawned 2. This is just my experience with potty training my 2 boys. - I did the 3 days naked from waist down which really helped (except I messed up with my first... I let him go longer than 3 days and then anytime he had anything on he would just go in whatever he had on.) with my second I made sure I didn’t go past 3 days and he did great! Still had some accidents but he was great! - we did not do pull ups at all except at nap/bedtime. My first was way too comfortable with them and it set him back on potty training.

Melissa Clagg that is genius, Lol
Yup most definitely

I always had my hair in this hairstyle as a kid my dad always called it a little palmtree. 🌴

Such a tiny detail but I love how your little intro slide is so simple and quick and doesn’t cut off your talking

It depends on the kid honestly
Am I the only one who said “hi” and waved when Micah said “hi”? 😳🤣 You’ve got two beautiful children. ❤️❤️
Few things I did for potty training is saying bye bye when flushing the toilet, being over excited about everything, and sticker charts are perfect for rewards
You can do target/Wal-Mart curbside pickups or deliveries!

Oh and we bought him his own potty so we’d sit him on that when we’d go to the bathroom.
I absolutely live when Micah says flush, lol.

Love your lights. Good luck with potty training.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
We called it water spout in my family when sat up on top of head like whale or dolphin do
Those lights are sick man! Super cool :)
Lol Paige definitely made me yawn😂 that was too cute. My mom used to call the lil pony tail thing a lil palm tree💜
I'm sending you luck and prayers on potty training. Micah is so incredibly smart. Can you vlog, when you are helping her learn new things like colors and number?
Thanks for sharing with us 😊
All of the light fixtures look so great!! ❤
That look awesome. I had a few similar cuts in the head.

Yup Miss Paige, you got me good with that yawn lol
I set a timer for every 20 mins to take my little man to the potty. Every time he went to the potty he got a sticker for his potty sticker board.
I call the hairstyle a water fauntain. Its so cute. That underwair is cute, she will love it. Love from Denmark
