- Today Austin gets a promotion! We are moving his office downstairs into the studio, to make it a nice comfortable new office! It turned out fantastic, as it's a great spot, he's really happy with it, and we can officially start piecing together the new nursery, and start transitioning Micah into a more toddler bedroom, than a nursery! I love vlogs like this because it really is fun to look back and see how much our housing has changed with our growing family. Also, baby has been kicking and causing a lot of pregnancy discomfort!

I don’t know your floor plan but, you could decorate the “office” into a BIG GIRL room and move no furniture. Micah would think that was cool. Also, Micah can be potty trained by or a little after being two. God bless!

To Austin and Jess, in watching your vlogs, it's so much more your life, your joy. It is a true blessing to see the love and adornment and cherishing moments of your life. To know that I am not the only one who has the tearful joy in seeing your child grow, watching them discover life. My children are 40, 36, 34. I still and will forever watch and appreciate looking at the world through a child's eye, and the coolest thing ever is that every child sees things differently. Gotta just love life❤❤❤❤
use pool noodles for the edge of the bed, put them under the fitted sheet and it creates a barrier to keep them from rolling off as well
An idea for Micah's room is to paint chalkboard paint on a lower section of wall. It becomes a place to draw and is also magnetic (for magnetic letters and other toys.) You'd be amazed how involved a child can become with their own "studio" 😘 also, can be used later as a reminder/chore board or thankful thoughts, and practice for handwriting.
woodland animals are really cute for nurseries. and with flowers and bows in pastel pink and purples.... so cute.
If you want cool looking book shelf's, you can look up how to do it using rain gutters. They are so cool looking and you can store other things on them also. You can put them low so Micah can reach them and they are close to the wall so they don't take up floor space.
Micah will be managing those stairs in a heartbeat. You won't be missing them for long, as Jess will be not far behind.
Why don’t you move Micah into a new room .. a big girls room and keep the nursery where it is!?!?!
Marsha Lessig I was thinking that as then you can say the baby bought you an new big girl room as we got my son a trampoline when his brother was born as a gift from the baby . It helps with jealousy

Another idea instead of guardrails that I have lived with my son is body pillows under the fitted sheet. It makes it easy for him to get in and out of the bed without the temptation to use the guardrails to stand on the bed
We transitioned our babies into twin beds at about 16 months old. They did just fine, and it was a pretty smooth transition. Add a guard rail and you’re set!
Monroe could be a cute name! :) What about a focal wall of really pretty peel and stick wallpaper for the nursery? Loom Well has some gorgeous prints, and there's probably a ton more online stores that do, too. I agree with other comments that it would probably be easier to move Micah into the other room as her big girl room and keep her current room as the nursery!

As for the rooms, I agree with many who have said the same. You should turn micah's room into a big girl room. Maybe decorate it as her favorite cartoon. And for new baby have all the baby stuff in there. When I had my son who is a few months younger than baby Micah, I moved my daughter into a twin bed and put guard rails as well. It has worked great.

P.s I love how micahs hair is growing. It almost looks like she went to a salon. It's so cute how it naturally curls under. Very beautiful.

Austin and Jess... everything looks great! I love your home... it kinda reminds me of mine. Mine is also a split level. I have 5 bedrooms but I also have 4 kids still at home. Our rooms aren't huge but we still have what we need. The two oldest boys are downstairs and they have a bathroom, a den, and my laundry room is also downstairs. Y'all definitely made the right decision to add the deck too. I love mine!
I am 32 weeks pregnant. My midwife suggested that I take magnesium, rub magnesium on the spots that are cramping, and to do forward leaning inversions. I believe that is what it's called. It is supposed to help the round ligaments to stretch out and not be so tight. Just some suggestions for you.
Give yourself some pool time too! The water wis soothing and your belly becomes buoyant, taking the weight and strain off your back and pelvis.

You were talking about paint and the empty walls. Have you ever thought about doing chalk paint on the walls? Doubles as a craft/creative outlet for the girls while also being super cute!

I would just move Micah to the big girl room in a few months with some of her stuff and then you don’t have to move everything multiple times. Micah will be big girl room ready In a few months once the baby is ready to sleep outside the bassinet. Love the vlog!
I have to say, I love Austin’s new work area! I think it looks great. Plus it just kind of makes sense to have it there, beside the studio, it all ties in nicely together, in my opinion. Also, I love how the purple glows on the grey wall.
Perhaps working beside the studio, with the studio in Austin’s peripheral vision, he may be inspired with some new ideas for videos for his and Cam’s Men Try channel. Those visions might just come into his mind!!
Either way, I still think that it looks like a really nice work space.
Like Austin was saying, I too have always thought that it is good and healthy in a relationship, to miss one another sometimes. I have felt that way before in past relationships, where we lived and worked together and I actually really wanted to miss that person at least once in a while. Not for any great length of time, but just for a short while because it is such a good feeling when you get to see them again and give them a big hug, it just makes things feel that extra bit special.
I love that Micah is growing more into her own little personality! There is nothing cuter than when a little one starts to show parts of the type of person that they are growing up to be! It’s absolutely gorgeous to watch Austin just fawn all over Micah, that daddy and daughter relationship is a very special one.
I mean, it is very obvious that both of you completely love and adore Micah, but I have always loved the sight of a father so completely overwhelmed with love for his little girl.
I have just 1 sister, no brothers and my father only really told me when I was in my 30’s, that he used to have a real temper when he was younger (which I could not believe, because he is so freaking laid back!) but as soon as my sister was born and then me 3&1/2 years later, he just completely mellowed out and that we had him wrapped around our little fingers!!!
It was so incredibly rare for my dad to ever get angry with us or even around us, but if he ever did get angry with one of us, oh boy!! We really knew then that we had done something really wrong and were in BIG trouble!! But even then, he told me recently, that he always felt so guilty about it!!
Whereas, my mother just shouted at me constantly!!
I can’t believe I almost forgot!!
Austin, that is such amazing news that you were contacted about doing a TV gig with Cam!! I can totally see you guys co-hosting some sort of TV show. You and Cam are really quite different in a lot of ways, but your personalities just really compliment each other. You 2 are perfect together and I believe that is why your Men Try channel does so well and everyone loves you guys.
I really am so excited for you and I hope that this does actually lead to you guys getting your own show. Just please promise us that you will both stay exactly as you are!! We all love you both because you guys are so relatable, easy going, funny and you guys just feel like our friends, even though that vast majority of us will never meet you!! 😂

I meant to suggest this the other day, but wouldn't it be more practical to turn the office into Micah's Big Girl Room? I assume you will be co sleeping with the baby for the first few months so by the time the baby moves into the nursery, Micah will be ready for her Big Girl Bed and wont need a dedicated changing area. Her current room is already set up well as a nursery so would make more sense to move the baby in there and Micah will be "promoted". That way you can really have fun with properly decorating a little girls room rather than a baby's room and you wont have to move much (if anything) in the way of furniture. You also know her personality so if you wanted to do a mural (which is such a cute idea), you can tailor it to what you know she loves. You could also have her name painted on the wall - think Micah Kate in cursive pink writing with little flowers and curly leaf tendrils around it
My daughter put a long pool noodle under the sheet on the edge of the bed and it works great!
Austin add and black out curtains to help with the light. I like the office make it comfortable! Micah is so adorable! You should put the camera stuff in that spot your desk couldve possibly went! I love you guys I've been watching y'all since the first kid and while I was pregnant last time and now your pregnant again can't wait to see the new baby.
Not sure this was mentioned yet but since the twin is a day bed and has a trundle just let Micah use the trundle. I had one my entire life and when I was little I slept on the trundle and when grandma came over she had a bed. I used the day bed for all my stuffed animals and we pushed my bed under during the day to add playroom.
If your skin has a burning, itching, tingling feeling then it’s from your skin stretching, but it could be from muscles being stretched and from pressure I had all of these symptoms with all 3 of my pregnancies, I’m a grandma now plus my daughter had theses same symptoms with her 3 pregnancies.
Maybe put up a half wall over by the office and than you can put a baby gate to block off the office and you can set up a play area over in the studio for Micah if you possibly need to work and Micah can have her a safe space so Jess can rest and have a little bonding time with new baby after mom leaves.
I think y'all are outgrowing your space, it maybe time to look for a outside space for the studio (even if you get the TV spot which would be totally awesome). You can have a work space where the whole family can go to and when the work day is done you close up shop and go home. That way at some point home and work can be more separate. Just a thought because 1 baby comes with a lot of crap but 2 babies is a whole new crazy. Especially so close in age.
I wouldnt change her room very much. Shes already going to go thru a major transition with the new baby. Then add changing her bed, moving her chair out, and moving her changing table...thats a lot of change all in a small amount of time. Maybe get a dresser for the baby's room and take the changing pad out of micah's room for the baby but leave micah's dresser where it is. Let her help decorate the crib and nursery for the baby so she knows why her room is changing so much. I also wouldnt potty train too soon after the baby. You dont want to go thru regression trust me. Lol

Congratulations to Austin and Cam on the new business opportunity. Love the potty trading idea. My daughter was 18 months when we started and by 2 she was fully trained, even over night. My son was 18 months when I put him in a toddler bed and by 19 months he was promoted to a twin with guard rails. He preferred the twin. I think like u said don't bother with the toddler bed, waste of money. And last good luck with the girls rooms.
Happy day, guys! Jess, do you like painting? If so, do grab Melissa and Doug's Magic Pattern Marker Coloring Pad which contains about 30 pattern reveal pictures. You could paint 'em if you have the time, sometimes maybe Austin could paint 'em when he is tired with work and would like a nice change. You could then frame them and put 'em up to make the nursery more visually appealing. This is one of the things I am doing at present for my little one due in June 2020 to join us :) Also, check out Google for some fun and cool nursery decoration ideas. Just a wall suggestion.
Consider lining the lower half of her bedroom walls with construction paper when she learns how to draw. Not only will it create a safe place to color, the doodles will be priceless when she’s grown.
No matter how precise you are with keeping track of crayons 🖍, kids FIND A WAY. 🧐
A great place to find toddler beds is FB market or sometimes Goodwill. Poor Brandon put down in the dungeon lol, as my grand daughter says you be ok. You can at least open the door from time to time if you move your desk to the other side of the window. You would also have a little more elbow room. Micah is so cute. As for baby names some of the old fashion names are making a comeback. And well my favorite name is Caroline, or Karoline. lol. Just an idea. If I had another girl instead of my 2 son's I was going to name her Christina Renee. I like the way it sounds. Again just a suggestion. I love watching Micah run around and talk to y'all, she is co cute when she does. Your family is in my prayers and that all goes well with the new baby. I hope you and your family have a great day.

Good to know! I think we'll end up doing that and putting the baby into Micah's crib! That way we don't have to buy another crib. We'll just use a bassinet or pack n play until the switch!

I think what you are feeling Jess is called round ligament pain. It can hurt and is where you were saying. Working out too hard can exacerbate the sensation. Note- I am not a doctor just a momma of 2 so of course if it is concerning talk to your O.b. :-) you guys are doing great

My sons room was done in light blue and cream with car and truck motifs, my daughters was done in light grey and yellow with elephants.

You can just leave all the nursery in Micahs room & Shift her into the BIG GIRLS room, Too much fuss wouldn’t it having to move the rocking chair and other baby stuff into the new room. That’s just my perspective, But love your guys video!! 💗

You know an adorable girls name is Neveah Rose it means heavens flower. I love when baby girl was singing i didnt know the alphabet song included dada in it but hey if she says so then who am i to say it dont 😂. As far as nursery ideas or baby girls room have you thought about 3d image. So the items on the walls would pop making it look 3d, with a mini 3d night lamp and then usually those are soft colors so you could match the bedding to it. Or woods or ocean scene. The woods one would be more relaxing cause the walls would have a soft feel as though she is in the woods, the lights are glo stars above some crafters can make what looks like a tree stump but is actually a dresser. Have some deer on the walls of the wall stick ons so it looks real. And get bedding to match. If your doing ocean theme use a brown or tan area rug, Have the wall stick on or a mural of the ocean you can even make the window apart of it when the sun comes in and sets it will look to rise over the ocean. Place seashells as a shelf for books make photo frames with seashells on the outer frame. And match the bedding
I have a niece named Marilyn and never has it been shortened to anything else. I think monkeys would be nice because you can but all different kinds like girl ones or boy and it gives you something to talk to Micah while you change the baby. Like jungle theme or maybe something else that can be boy or girl theme.
