I have been living in Canada but I still miss my family and good friends in Hong Kong. I may never have a chance to go back to Hong Kong, for I have to tackle my serious illness ( two kinds of cancer) at the same time. Thank you Bob for this amazing lesson!
Do you know Bob, the way i’m improving my English is by shadowing your words, i am rewriting your words, and try to following every single word. Then try to use in my daily conversation. Thanks Bob
You make the best English lessons. For me, the videos now feel like I'm listening to a good friend. The learning happens almost incidentally. Thank you very much for your videos
It is interesting, Bob. Sometimes we want to call someone we miss but we don't. Maybe both people are waiting for the other to initiate, or perhaps they're both feeling the same way, but it never happens. Thank you for the lesson, Bob.
Before listening I've read all the comments and realized WOW... I understood🎉 My English is still bad and my mistakes are awful but... I am able to translate all the people write🎉
I really miss my Canadian friend. He was the best online friend I ever met. He told me everything about his cancer, said he didn’t think he’d make it, but promised he’d fight as long as he could. Now he’s gone forever. All I have left are photos of him and his dogs, and our messages. It’s been almost three years since he’s been gone. I didn’t originally speak English, but talking with him was like active learning. I improved a lot... because of him. I can honestly say I loved him. And I thank you for the lesson, Bob. You taught me more than just English. You taught me how to laugh even when things were rough, and how to be strong. I carry those lessons with me every day, and I'll always be grateful. Thank you, Bob. 🤍
Glad to watch this touchy topic,to me...,I MISS SO MUCH a nice Canadian friend...,he cames to visit my country twice...,and by time ,we can chat every week..., he's a kind and fun guy ...so , I MISS HIM SO MUCH !! THANKS dear BOB ! I enjoy watching this great video!!!!😊😊😊😊(CELIA FROM ARGENTINA 🇦🇷)
Hi Bob! This lesson touched me. I met my daughter in the US and have been back home right now. I started missing her when I hugged her and said goodbye to her. BTW she has left us and moved to the US for a decade. She was back to see us and we went to see her from time to time but I always lived in the feeling of missing.
I lost my mom and dad in two years. I loved them very much and I miss them very, very much 😥. People usually understand the value of their loved ones more after they lose them. May they rest in peace Amen 🤲
I think that as time goes by more we miss things and people. It demonstrates that we had good memories as you said, Bob. We do remember those good moments we experienced with our loved ones and our own things. On the other hand, the feeling of nostalgia can let you down especially in cases when you've lost a loved one. I miss two main things: when I was a child and used to hanging out with my cousins and siblings, and the presence of my parents, which I don't have cause I don't live with them.
Thanks for the lesson.😊 I will tell my husband “I miss you.” tonight. Because he is just on a business trip to Mexico. My son and I are really miss him.😢
Hello teacher ! I’ll miss all my friends and family. I’m moving to Toronto from France. I got a lot of emotions yesterday.. I’m currently boarding.. can’t wait to get my new country ❤
What a nice intro, Bob. Walking from the middle of the bridge towards the camera and making your introduction was a great idea and so fitting for the topic 💛. It's interesting that you mentioned that you've been listening to a lot of music from your youth lately that has taken you back to that time and now, fittingly, you've made a lesson about missing something or someone 😘. But as we know, many of your ideas for lessons come from those moments/situations. Thank you, Bob. Have a wonderful day. 🕰🫂🪢 By the way, I think that sometimes it can be difficult just to express these kinds of feelings/emotions to someone in your own native language. 🧩
Hey dear Bob. Thank you so much. I do really appreciate these videos about specific verbs. 🎉 I'd like to find more in your channel. Warm greetings from L.A (latin america).
Thanks for the lesson. I think it's the right time to use this phrase, because I'm going to Australia to learn English in 2 weeks. I miss my family, my friends and my lovely hometown so much.
Hello Bob. Thank you for this podcast. I miss my father a lot . He left me a big void in my life .i lost him when I was teenager. It was very difficult period for me . I wanted him to see my succès 😢.
We don't cry because of missing something. We cry because of realizing we can't have it anymore. Thanks Bob for such a nice video. You do a really helpful work. Keep it up ❤
Thank you my great colleague for this and all your lessons, I’m sure as God made little green apples, that wherever you are you can feel my gratitude for all these, thanks a million !!! BOB Until we meet again ❤
I live in turkey and you really the most professional teacher and i felt like you really miss many things so you express about your feelings in this video i am sorry my english language is not good
Great pics from your childhood, Bob! I have the same feelings, leafing through the family albums. Old nice places, old and young dear faces... Looks like an old beaver dam on the river(correct me if I'm wrong)😉
Hi, Bob! You were so cute in your childhood pics. By the way, I love the theme music of your channel that plays in your videos. Whenever I listen to it, I become happy and energetic. ☺️
Missing someone is sad. My grandpa and grandma passed away 10years ago and seven years ago. I miss them. Currently, I left my hometown and live in another city, but I'm not homesick. I don't miss where I used to live in.
I miss my sons too, sir. The ones who left home. What is this feeling called in English? Empty nest syndrome? I think so. Do you feel how lucky we fathers of large families really are? Our nests are not as empty as they could be.
Yes. Once all the kids are gone, you are an empty nester. No more little birds at home! It is nice having lots of kids for sure, although my wallet might argue differently. 😎🪟🚪
Thank you for your lessen. I didn’t catch when you said That the city you live in now is … In now isn’t clear I heard in Dow. Would you please provide me with more information.
