I have been trying to continue studying English since the last 3 years and still do. And one of the things I really recommend to everyone is to listen to Bob's Short English Lessons channel videos over and over again. In fact, I run the playlist over and over again while doing whatever, while running, while working out, when driving to work, when I have some free time at work, etc. I've listened to the entire playlist over five times and my goal is to listen to it at least sixteen times. A patient of mine who was an English teacher a few years ago told me that our brains need to be exposed to a new word at least sixteen times before we can remember and use it. So I said to myself, let me listen to Bob's short English lessons as long as I can and I'm on it.
1. Overloading 2. Oversaturating 3. Forced description 4. Shadowing 5. Visualization 6. Get an English only dictionary 7. Repetition Thanks for your video
It may be more a question of needing to translate from your mother tongue to English than the other way around. It’s challenging to switch to thinking in English, especially when our brains are so used to translating every word. Bob’s advice on creating mental images instead of translating is helpful. Thanks for this great video, Bob!

I agree with you boss.I study English since it was two yrs and still now.
These lessons are very, very important for fluency in English language. Congratulations teacher.
i'd like that every english speaker had this accent and this diction! i can easily! you got a new follower.
it wouldn't be efficient for native speakers to perfectly pronounce every word at such a slow pace
Thanks for this video, it will help me to start speak and think in english
I can understand you very well in 2x speed....wish every one can speak English clear like you do.
thank you so much, because of you my English has improved .❤️
Thanks English teacher Bob👍👍 this video is so helpful for improving my English 👍👍
That moment when you stopped translating because you found this extremely useful RUclips channel in 2021. That channel is Learn English with Bob the Canadian. Thanks me after.
I'm glad this channel has helped you so much (and continues to do so!) 😎🍕🐕
@@LearnEnglishwithBobtheCanadian no doubt. Thank you kindly, the wisest teacher 😎🤟
It's very helpful advise, because some words i speak automatic, but some words i don't remember, so i start nervous and my speaking looking awful ))
I like this video you have trained us to stop translating by hearing this explanation
Thanks Bob. In RUclips I used cc with watching and I found it it's helpful and useful.
Super helpful tips, Bob! Many times it is not possible to find equivalents just because many of those English words don't have equivalents in one's own language. I totally agree with you on the fact that translating takes a lot of time and effort. I am a professional translator, so I can "hereby certify" that! 😊 Thanks so much, Bob!
I'm glad to hear my tips are certified by an expert! Thanks Cecilia! 😎📭🐦

@@LearnEnglishwithBobtheCanadian Thank you so much teacher, Bob... I will do follow your instruction... I have learned English many years, somtimes I can hear clearly partner speaking, I can understand but I cannot answer instantly . I must think about my language (Vietnamese) translate to English in my head, after that I say but at that time my tongue seems to freeze 😭. I don't have partner who can help me practice speaking reflex. So Could you show me how I can do?
Once more time....Thank you so much teacher, Bob Canadian...your channel help me and someones learn English.
My distinguishing teacher, you are a true treasure and your advices are really valauble.
The video reminds me that I now stop translating in my mind unconsciously while listening to English, it happens naturally after I read some books written in English.
