Good stuff man. Thanks for highlighting the mistakes you made, they help me notice what I'm doing wrong as well. A good example is over extending for ults.
I’m a widow main but star lord does pique my interest. Are there any advanced lesser known techs? Like can you still cancel the ult wind up or did they patch that?
The ult animation cancel got patched during the s1 update, one good thing to know is your spin has invincible frames and with a little practice can be used to doge basically anything you can think of.
Im not an aim lord rivals my first shooter but I feel I'm getting better (silver3💀, I don't instantly 1 mag healers) what 1v1 should I instantly run a way from and go stay back in main lane with my team or help healers?
you should avoid doing 1v1s with tanks since they'll be a pain to kill and also will waste your time and take your attention away from healers. in general stay to the side or back and focus on healers and duelists. I don't think you should be with your team a lot since star lord is a flanker.
1. important thing is engagement time, if you're flanking the supports, you should do it while your team is applying frontline pressure. That way healers will be torn between dealing with you and healing the tanks/dps that are taking a lot of dmg. 2. You could easily die if supports heal each other and focus you (especially if they have cc) so DONT force a kill, just distracting them by being a mosquito creates value + ult charge 3. flyers are your responsibility but still, you should not charge straight at them cause you'll get focused. Take off angles and flanks. You can easily mow down their hp and finish them off with E + flying at the same time. (Storm does huge dmg tho, 1v1 ironman is way easier, better to attack when she's distracted) 4. Ult behind cover. A pole is good, a pole is better than nothing between you and enemies. Prioritise healers OR sometimes hitscans with good aim (if they have a cracked out Hela, take her out first). 5. mini tip, if you hit a bunch of enemies with E, you charge ult FAST. so if you can, try to hit as many enemies with E while staying inside defensive ult.
Really underrated! Great analysis and useful tips. Just started playing him and he's really fun and got great carry potential!

I play only starloard and he's by far the most fun character in rivals.
I agree, his movement just hits
Underrated
