I hate that they felt the need to add vulgar modern slang into their great arrangements and production. It makes it too much of a parody. It doesn't pay the proper homage to the greats that came before them. I understand these are different times and this is how we speak in the community, so it is authentic in that sense, but less is more and vulgar is vulgar..... The production and harmonies were great......lyrical content? Not so much but just the opinion of an aging old man who grew up on Marvin Gaye, The Isley Bros, The Four Tops, The Spinners, The Dramatics, The Chi-Lites, The Delfonics, Bloodstone, The O'Jays, The Whispers, Heatwave, and on and on, and on, and on.... No matter what was happening in the community in terms of vulgar language, it didn't make it onto wax..... We kept it classy and classic.

I saw this video when it first dropped, and it cracked me up - especially with the guy splat on the floor waiting on an outline - only to pop up a moment later. There is humor (and a sly rudeness) hidden in the lyrics, but we’re far too busy loving the tight harmonies. The dance moves and matching costumes are an homage to the Tempting T’s (or any other group from that era). I look forward to their album dropping later on this month.
