Linda is the glue that holds them all together and is probably the most important character in the whole series. Without her they would have went off the rails long ago.

I think the reason we connect with all these characters despite how different they are, is that at the end, they care for each other and love each other. They aren’t simply friends, but a family they chose. And for many of us, we all just want that.
I think the reason we connect with all these people is because they really aren't different from us. Despite being celestials or demons, they have the same frailties and foibles we humans do, just writ large. As Linda says, the most dysfunctional family in the universe.

Season 4 is great, I was so tired of seeing the characters more or less standing around in the same spot for over 30 episodes. Finally we got some actual character- and plotdevelopment. And Lindas laugh at 1:06 is amazing, it summarizes her feelings so well.
Agreed. First 2 seasons with some sweet moments, endup with nothing achieved. Need 24 (S3) episodes to reveal the truth. And S4, had very strong every episode, endup love declaration.

I just love how Dr. Linda handles the situation because I feel her reaction is what Chloe needed to help her decide what she wants with Lucifer. This helped her relax a little I can tell she was battling with it in her mind. Dr. Linda pretty much just put her at ease by saying she doesn't know and it is okay to be scared. She already knows how Lucifer makes her feel and all the times he was willing to sacrifice his safety for hers. What more does she need to see that he is a good man that has struggled a lot to be who he is now.
Yes, all of this. The part people forget when they get mad at Chloe is that she didn't believe in all this crap then gets slapped in the face with it and has to fight her attraction and I love that she actually investigated the situation thoroughly like she does with her cases before she made a concrete decision. This scene was so important.
Sam MacLean Lucifer couldn’t have told her to go to Linda because after his face was revealed she ran away. And after she came back he just forgot because apparently she already dealt with it
Actually this is the main issue I have with this season (and consequentially the whole season story arc). Surely she ran away after the ending of S3, but I doubt that only few second after the reveal in S3 she exited the building, coincidentally found a taxi immediately, pass by her home to pick up Trixie, drive to the airport, and coincidentally found an immediate flight out of the US. She probably took at least few days to give a report of the incident to the police precinct (after all Pierce was the boss, so the ending of S3 was a big deal for the precinct), get authorized for a long leave of absence and formally register Den's authorization in order to take Trixie out of the country (I don't know about the US in specific, but in many western countries you need a formal authorization from the other parent in order for a parent to take the child out of the country by him/herself). Even if she left the country immediately as I described in the second paragraph, in a city as big as LA she would have take at least 2-3 hours to do that; plenty of time for Lucifer to warn Linda and for Linda to get in touch with Chloe. Surely we would not have this season story if they talked earlier, but I am sure the producers would have come with a different story about the Lucifer-Chloe relation post-revelation.
At the end, they are still the same as they met them, Lucifer never lied to them, they should feel bad because they didn't believed Lucifer instead of acting as the others lied to them.

Sam MacLean Lucifer couldn’t have told her to go to Linda because after his face was revealed she ran away. And after she came back he just forgot because apparently she already dealt with it
Actually this is the main issue I have with this season (and consequentially the whole season story arc).
Surely she ran away after the ending of S3, but I doubt that only few second after the reveal in S3 she exited the building, coincidentally found a taxi immediately, pass by her home to pick up Trixie, drive to the airport, and coincidentally found an immediate flight out of the US.
She probably took at least few days to give a report of the incident to the police precinct (after all Pierce was the boss, so the ending of S3 was a big deal for the precinct), get authorized for a long leave of absence and formally register Den's authorization in order to take Trixie out of the country (I don't know about the US in specific, but in many western countries you need a formal authorization from the other parent in order for a parent to take the child out of the country by him/herself).
Even if she left the country immediately as I described in the second paragraph, in a city as big as LA she would have take at least 2-3 hours to do that; plenty of time for Lucifer to warn Linda and for Linda to get in touch with Chloe.
Surely we would not have this season story if they talked earlier, but I am sure the producers would have come with a different story about the Lucifer-Chloe relation post-revelation.
Hindsight is 20/20
At the end, they are still the same as they met them, Lucifer never lied to them, they should feel bad because they didn't believed Lucifer instead of acting as the others lied to them.
Nisa Castrejon people killed themselves after finding out. Went absolutely whackjob insane. They will never recover. So cut the heroes some slack.
@@simsister2774 My real point was that they didn't lie to them, it shouldn't be something to complain about, although I can understand your point and it explains actually why they acted in that way. I do believe my comment was incomplete but listening to them bothered me.
I mean, logically speaking, yes. But, emotions are not logical, and I think having a complete freakout after finding out your partner is the devil and your roomate is a demon is completly understandable.

I think it's easy for us to say how we would behave when talking about a hypothetical situation we'll never experience. But I'm skeptical that all the people confidently stating that Chloe's behavior is unforgivable or acting like their reactions would be so chill are kidding themselves. There's how you think you'd react in certain situations and how you'd actually behave.
It's the same with this "He's always said he was the devil" argument. People are acting like they'd actually believe someone who claimed to be the devil, but, again, I'm skeptical that anyone would.
