Thankyou. Pilot and all personnel who keep this magnificent masterpiece alive for us all to enjoy, and in particular with that fabulous centaurus engine.
I've seen my grandads logbooks showing that he used to fly these, incredible men from different times. I can't imagine the exhilaration of the noise and feel of these, compared to the jollies I've had in fast jets
My father served on HMS Glory during the Korean war and I have many of his old photos of Sea Furies and Fireflies. (Especially ones that ended up crashing and being bulldozed off the ship.)
Love the Sea Fury? Check out this 1/72 Diecast Model - airmodels.net/premium/407-hawker-sea-fury-fb-mk-ii.html?aff=36
You're right Bob that sounds truly awesome! I love radials anyway but that sleeve valve sound on a radial that size is a symphony. Beautiful.
Centaurus heaven, AWESOME!!! Big bonus = NO commentator!!! Sheer bliss. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely

That raspy Centaurus growl. I love it...
Sure does make a great sound when flying over head
The Fury is such a beautiful bird 😍
Man what a beautiful sounding engine/aircraft
Supernatural X agreed. Too bad there aren't any Beaufighters flying. Those sleeve valve engines must be a pain to work on!
Sir Thomas must have been very proud of that aeroplane. Thank-you, Bob.
One of my favourite aircraft of all time and that boy can fly it and loves doing it too
Another brilliant video Bob. What a sound from that plane, right up there with a Spitfire.

Fantastic
I was there, that engine is MIGHTY!
Laaaavely sound to it

This is going to sound controversial, but I think it sounds better than a Merlin !
I agree!! Centaurus in a Sea Fury is THE best sounding piston aircraft engine ever. What a beast!
Radial engines always sound the best.
Yep, and that's a sleeve valve radial, even better! Super smooth and it's still a big powerful monster, that's as good as it gets in my book
I’d ideally have a sea fury and a griffon powered supermarine
"...I think it sounds better than a Merlin"
Sacrilege! But, okay, we'll let you have this one - it does sound very spectacular.
Good spotting
Impressive!
beautiful
Me encantan tus videos sigue asi
Sounds as good as a Gibson SG
Better 😉😛
Hawker Fury.....not Sea Fury.
Still a beautiful beast all the same.
