Minivan sliding doors on an SUV and an air suspension setting that lowers the load height when you park would be a great start. Along with the deep storage well behind the third row seats like vans have.
Most SUV’s are in fact minivans or miniminivans, in disguise. Can’t beat a real minivan for carrying capacity and convenience. And what other car can open/close 3 of its 5 doors remotely ?!

(They only trump true minivans in towing capacity and possibly in traction IF awd really makes any difference, which is debatable.)

We have always been a Chevy suburban family but we’re not pay $85000 plus for a new one we found this Kia and wow we were just blown away on this vehicle freaking loaded very very impressive vehicle we like it so much we’re going to buy one. Mini van suv mixed love it
My family and I (there's 8 of us) have the Kia Carnival. It's everything we needed and so much more than we imagined. We're able to take rides that are comfortable for everyone. We absolutely loooove it and are so grateful to have it.

I purchased this trim level in 2022... unfortunately due to the chip shortage they removed the remote start and auto lift tailgate. Outside of that, its a great van (never thought I would say that)
How is that middle seat in the second row? Looks pretty flexible. My wife likes the Palisade and Telluride but I am leaning toward this because at this trim level you get much more room for a little over 40,000. Plus sliding doors are way better in the parking lots of suburbia since no one can park in a straight line.
@@matthewgeissinger2856 Your reasoning is basically exactly why we got this over a Tahoe or Telluride. We generally keep the middle seat in the second row up to act as a toy holder but have removed it a few times for road trips. Very easy to slide back as well as to remove it all together.
After watching the video and reading these comments. I am considering this, I was looking into Tahoe, Teramount, telluride, etc. I am looking for a good 3rd row seats (adult) and cargo space.
I would get one if AWD was an option. These would compete with the sienna also if they had these in AWD IMO. My opinion is based on living in a very cold climate where the roads conditions are slippery.

FWD drive can go as far as AWD can go. FWD AND AWD can't go where 4WD can go. So yes. If it's not 4WD, I'd rather stay with FWD for gas saving reasong. AWD is just a marketing thing. It's let you where 4wd go.

The one horrible thing of this auto is the pathetic tow rating of only 3500lbs. This beast should be at a minimum 5,000lb tow rating as is the Telluride and V6 AWD Sorento.

I just got a Kia Carnival 2023 and I want to return it. It doesn't have the option to add SiriusXM. That remote feature to open the back door is not available on the LX trim, so don't get your wishful thinking fly. The compass also not available on the LX. The camera sucks in bad weather. I have a VW that hides the camera meaning it doesn't get muddy or wet if not in use.
I agree. The ugly name Carnival doesn’t fit the beautiful sporty look on this vehicle. We just bought the 2024 Kia Carnival EX, color Ceramic Silver Gray 😍 It will be delivered in a week and we’re so excited to be more comfortable on long road trips.

AWD is overrated. For slippery conditions a good set of winter tires is all u need, especially with front drive weight on front/drive wheels.
