Wow well I was trying to find a shifter with a real-life gearbox feel and this actually helped so now I can make my own...
You're a fucking mad man. This must be the best low cost dyi shifter design I've ever seen.
I can't wrap my head around how cheaply you could make one of these, couple it with a basically free, no name game controller and you got yourself a $20 sim racing shifter. Ima have to scavenge some free parts and make one for myself now.

Great design, it's simple, using basic tools and parts yet seems to function perfectly. I will surely build this maybe already tomorrow.
Thanks, I think everyone can built it, coz it so simple. And if they cannot find PVC sheet, they can subtitute with other materials, like mdf, plywood, acrylic, etc.

Autocad. But you can use other software. Like fusion, or online software like thinkercad.
Hello. im hopeful that you see this message. My problem is the game that I use the shifter for says that there has to be a button pressed for the vehicle to go into neutral. Is there a way I can code it so that the system will think im pressing a switch when I am actually not. If I don't get a message back ill have to figure out something else. Thanks.

I already have the Logitech G25 wheel & pedals, but the H-shifter's reverse don't work.
And I want to make the range & splitter & engine brake for truck simulators.
Is there the Arduino program for only H-shifter?
Can you make me a program with 1-6 gears and reverse as well as range & splitter & engine brake on it.
I'm not a programmer at all.
It should include: on-off buttons to 7 for gears, 1 for range, 1 for splitter, 1 for engine brake.
Mika Saari you can use arduino pro micro and use mmjoy firmware.
Next video I will make a button box use mmjoy.

I think it cannot shift more than two gears simply forward or backward. Maybe this is not a finished device and the author suggests that the viewer come up with the implementation of switching contacts. sorry for my english i use translator.
The bottom parts swivels, it also goes left and right
As for the switches all you need tk do is hotglue it to the top plate so when you put it in gear it hits the button

Looks like it would only function as a sequential shifter. Or I'm not seeing the other switches...

Bahan menggunakan PVC sheet 5mm dan 3mm, as ulir 8mm, as ulir 10mm, capit udang, plat alumunium.

kalau yg simpel dan gak mau terlalu ribet pakai joystik aja.
