This is one of the most satisfying sim racing related videos I have ever seen, the build quality is very strong and well done, and the only thing that could break are the switches, which are easy to find and replace, the rest is built like a tank, you could make money selling those!
That's an awesome job buddy, you have some serious skills and resources too, that's bit difficult as a DIY project as most of us don't have access to steel workshop for building the steel framework. Excellent quality work
uniq parts is a ball with spring loaded, out of my mind...! genious guy you're
This really is next level. It sound amazing when you shift and it hits metal. Hope of seeing some instructions. If not I will try to reverse engineer your design. Thanks for sharing anyhow.
This is sick, I wish I had the skill to do this.. you have talent. I want to see more videos.
Thank you very much mate.....
Congratulations! amazing work!
Wow. Amazing shifter!
Bellissimo DIY , Bravo ;) Grazie per aver condiviso, TOP video.
Great design! Well done
amazing job. if only i had the tools and skills to work with metal like that i would use this video you made to make it as well.
Thanks alot mate.....😊
Great job! I don't have any real fabrication skills or the right equipment to work with steel, but I'll certainly have a good crack at doing this with plywood :) thanks for the inspiration!
Nice shifter! Thanks dude.
Superb as always 🔥
Im gonna build one, definetly! Thanks for tut🙏
Hi do you have te plan and bom of the shifter ?
@@j.l.h.kennepohl2691 i have got a 3D Build (google sketchup) send me a mail @ mfrophoto@gmail.com and i will send you the file next days.
@@mfrophoto i send you one 👍🏻
wow. awesome. can you provide a list with all of the components? I would like to build one. it would be so satisfying to use this in the RSS GT cars on Assetto Corsa with a long shift lever
Hey, awesome DIY. Very well executed and the finished product looks quite professional and solid. I was toying with the idea of building my own shifter so now i'm defenitly giving this a try. Thou i don't have the machines like you i think this build can be done without welding. I just need to figure out how to make the grooves for the ball plunger without a lathe machine. But thanks for this great guide, really speeds up the process of building the piece.
Thank alot mate. hope you will finish yours one soon...
@@velocimech273 Thank you, but due to limited free time the build will proberbly take a few weeks, but i'm positive i'll get there eventually. Any recomendations regarding the spring? That's my biggest Question mark right now.
No need to worry that much about spring.plunger will give you the feeling.but make sure not to use high stiffness springs. Otherwise you have put additional effort to change the gear. Use a spring only to return the lever.
How much to purchase if you were to build another item?
An where you based i need one of the immediately good sir!!
And you make handbrake aswell need to be compatible with PS4 PLZ cheers mate
Dude! with some minor polishing you could sell a ton of those! Great work
Late to the party. Wanted to say thanks for the video- there are plenty of good ideas there.
ඒකනම් සුපිරි අයියේ.. Amazing 😍😍
Thanks alot....😊
Muy bueno un gran trabajo
Looks like Bangood has this exact shifter for sale now, hope u got some of the cred for that.
watching this, i was like. yeah. cool. he did all the hard work thinking this up etc. but now ive seen it i could make that. i have some free time so i started properly thinking about it. and nah. damn yo. so many parts, and no matter how hard i try i cant think of a way to simplify it. if i was to make one i would have to source/ machine all those parts, do a bunch of measuring, lathe work. etc etc. so much effort and work. and i would have to buy some parts probably. i prefer to make stuff out of scraps. this is way out of my league. i dont think im up to the task. but i dont want to make anything less either. this looks so good with the mechanical feeling etc. also the way its built means it would last aeons. no wear and tear etc. its so good.
A Genius.
Good job broo..this very fantastic..
Goooooooddd joooob!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello
it would be possible to have one, possibly with the jak compatible with the fanatec csl base ...
thank you
Hi, I have a sequential shifter, used for a few years wired in to my G27 panels, now up graded to Fanatec, so need to use with USB, can you assisted with more detailed wiring & programming video?
Considering how much fabrication, machining, welding etc this has I don't think calling it "DIY" is fair. BUT. Your design, skills, and finished product is AMAZING! It's a really amazing design - looks and sounds fantastic! You should consider selling them on eBay!
Can you draw up some sort of schematics for it by any chance? I do HVAC for a living and can build it np. just need some measurements of he side plates at lease and the rest im sure i can figure out
Is there a list of items needed ? including wps for metal parts ?
Hey mate epic build , any way you could supply me with the product numbers for the micro switch an the board cheers
NIcely built.. !!!
Thank you...😊😊
Hola donde van conectados los cable a la nano micro solo seve conectado un interruptor
could you tell me the bolt sizes of the screws thanks
can you provide the docs to build it, like sizes and everything
any build plans ? or parts list ?
how much woude it cost to let you make that shifter with sending to belgium ?
厲害"
Excuse me...i dont find the code. Could you give me the link o the file? Thanks
make paddle shifter please + elektronik wiring ? greeting from indonesia
Bonjour superbe shifter avait vous fichier dfx pour faire ce beau shifter
who came here expecting a link to a kit of some sort? Is this guy making kits with the parts that need welding and lathe time? Along with a parts list for the rest? Would be the most economical.
Hei! Where did you find this spring? i'm getting mad to find one! and what measure it has?
You can find this kind of springs from old brake master cylinder from a car
Bro can't used?? this function at real car.. And gear display, help me can't used
Hi. Do you have a list of dimensions for this? I would love to make it and dimensions would be a great help
hi i think his design is based on this aliexpress shifter the mecanism is very similar and the frame has some minor changes. this dude reviews it

Awesome!. How much force do you need to do a change?. Maybe 2kg?
Yea. Its around 2kg

You connect switch at arduino pro micro at black wire GNO and red wire at 2.. another switch where you connect bro? Please share to me bro
Other switch red wire to 3rd digital pin in arduino and black wire to ground.
Thanks bro..
good jobb bro im amaze.. and i have Same question bro about wire. 2 wire black to ground. 1 wire red to 2 and 1 wire red to 3.., like that bro?
Hello
Possible to have the plans to reproduce your model ? I find it great.
Thanks
Hi mate. Not planned yet. may be near future.
do the plans, I would be a buyer
@@velocimech273 when ? I need it
u can use a usb arcade encoder
Probably j made myself a bandbrake with it and it works fine
how thick is the metal plate you are using for the frame
2mm mild steel
bro can you drop the arduino code please ?
does it work on ps4?
Hey how its work with forza? I have wheel And gamepad And they dont work together

Hi project cars 2 doesn't recognize my control. Could help me ?
Hi,
What are the controllers?
@@velocimech273 I'm using a arduino micro with the joystick library. For now im testing it without any another control connected
Si possono avere le misure esatte per favore
It works on ps4?
i don't understand how the switch is activated both ways, looking at the video the switch is either off (neutral) or on (when you pull forward), but how does it register a shift when you pull back?
There's two switches, one per side. One side does the front of the traavel or upshift and the switch on the other side does the back of the travel or downshift
You have only one switch diagram.
All I need is a vehicle manufacturing plant, and I can make a DIY racecar, then I won't need to simulate racing.
Where is the code?
man please help me i made a shifter myself but cannot assign shifter to forza it works on other games tho pls help
Try this ; forzatools.weebly.com/forza-emuwheel.html
why is there only one the switch is connected to the circuit and where is the other? look forward to a response!
Hello.can you explain how you did it? Thanks
Hi. I did a research about available shifters in the market. But they are much expensive. So i decided to build a one.Vesaro have one of shifter simillar to this.
If you are having trouble getting it to compile or getting errors use this joystick library github.com/MHeironimus/ArduinoJoystickLibrary/tree/version-1.0 its version 1.0 instead of 2.0
Can u help me. With the code??
name game?
What is that frame made of?
it's steel.

Hi, Copy the following code to Arduino empty file.
#include
void setup() {
pinMode(2, INPUT_PULLUP);

Nice job but not exactly an easy or even realistic DIY. Not many people have access to a lathe.
what's the point of sharing a DIY video for the shifter without sharing the files ??
Does it work on xbox ?
