I want to upgrade my diy handbrake with a KY-024 hall effect sensor via Pro Micro of course, Any idea if your code here would work to take the sensor info and apply it to say an X axis?

Ha thanks @CakeEaterPro, feel free to friend me an hop into a session! You should be able to use the Joystick library to map the hall sensor output value to an x,y,z axis. I don’t think it would be exactly the same as my code but probably very similar. Keep racing!

forza unfortunately doesnt support multiple input devices last i checked. i have a handbrake connected via old keyboard pcb so its mapped to a keyboard button. as soon as i pull it my wheel loses input etc. maybe not the same issue as you but the only way to add a handbrake or sequential shifter to forza is to have them plugged in via the same usb as the wheel. i.e you could solder to one of the buttons on the wheel. it sucks so hopefully they will fix this issue in future games.

I think you're in South Africa aren't you? That is not a Third World country, it is - or rather was - a First World country...
*The First World:* this term was coined during the Cold War to refer to the United States, and all the countries which were politically aligned with it (the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, etc.).
*The Second World:* this referred to the USSR and all the countries who were politically aligned with it.
*The Third World:* this was all the remaining countries in world.
So, contrary to popular belief, the Third World did NOT refer to poor countries, it referred to countries which were neutral, or didn't really play a part in the Cold War. Some of the wealthiest and most civilised countries in the world - Switzerland, Sweden, Ireland, and Austria to name just four - were Third World Countries, while countries like South Korea, which certainly wasn't a wealthy nation back in the 1950's, was a First World country.
Just to be clear, most of Southern Africa - Basutoland, Bechuanaland, Swaziland, Rhodesia, Northern Rhodesia, and Nyasaland - was actually First World, because it was under British rule, while Angola and Mozambique were Second World, for a while at least, when Portugal was aligned with the USSR. As I said at the beginning, South Africa was a First World country because it was aligned with the West and there were major fears of communism there, for obvious reasons!

@@donnycrash8954 I used to do a lot of International business travel, and at one stage I went to South Africa. I was in Cape Town for about 1 month. Usually, when you're on one of these trips, everyone is very nice to you, but at the end of the day they go home to their families, and you are stuck - exhausted and alone - in some city somewhere, eating a cheeseburger in the hotel. The ONLY exception to that was South Africa. EVERY SINGLE DAY I had people inviting me over for dinner with their families - I was having to decline invitations because I was booked - and on the weekends I was being taken on safaris and ... well ... all over the place. Honestly ... it was, WITHOUT A SHRED OF DOUBT, the most friendly, welcoming place I have ever been, and it made for an absolutely wonderful trip that I still remember fondly.
I studied electrical engineering and I was there to install a warehouse automation system I had designed the electronics for, and to train the guys over there in how it all worked, so they could maintain it, and install future systems themselves. I haven't worked in electronic design for quite a few years now - I've been doing system work for financial companies in Australia - but I am building a racing SIM now, and need a shifter and a handbrake for my Thrustmaster TX, so I've decided to build them myself, and your video has been incredibly helpful thank you!
      :-)
