  • This video was shot by Laurie Daniels, mother of Miles Doughty from Slightly Stoopid. Someone posted this publicly on facebook just now, so I figured I'd make my private upload from many months ago public here. Thank you to Aaron Rigney for preserving this digital copy of the tape to get back to the Nowells and Laurie. All the best.

My favorite thing about Bradley, that I never hear anybody mention, is the fact that; during the height of the grunge movement. When most people were writing depressing, angry, moody music, Bradley barely ever strayed away from the Major scale lol… happy, upbeat, funny, braggadocios (in a good way).
He was just, himself. What an original

When I found this video 10 minutes ago, I immediately looked at the technique of his picking hand because I wanna learn his strumming style so bad. There are lots of sudden triplets in his strumming that I love so much, but I never ever hear people use it.

as long as you're bringing something new to the table with the cover and not just doing a 1:1 copy of a song, covering songs is dope! and you can do crazy stuff with it that the audience loves, one of my old bands used to do a ska punk cover of I'm Looking Through You by The Beatles, every crowd we played it for loved it everytime (not like i've played any huge crowds but still lmao)

Sorry this reply took me so long, man, I know this because the show at the Tressel Tavern was on the 14th of November 1994, this video was recorded on the 10th of November 1994. So, they would have flown up there right after this.
The Memories booklet describes picking them up from the Airport and Brad singing all the way to the venue and not stopping singing the whole night, this video I feel reflects the artistic boom state he was in at that moment in time that went on to make the Tressel show so unique and amazing.

Songs I've never heard on here.... The world lost one of the best if not the best. I'm still reeling after all these years.

Bradley and Kurt were about 5 years younger than me but I was totally in on that scene Heavily and remember me in my car. Me and my drugs me and my boys reference to me as my and some of you like it, we're into this style of music big time and we wanted to see sublime and of course we didn't know that you would perish so soon and of course you'd come to Chicago because everybody comes to Chicago whether from UK or from the US there's a few places in Chicago you gotta play that are kind of like CBGBs in NYC

OMG OMG! I know the first song by heart from one of their albums, and never dreamed I'd get to see Bradley playing them!!! Thank you sooooo much!
Bradley was the most epic musician. Like nerds love Elon Musk, Bradley was a God of hip hop, reggae, blues, rock, funk, with a voice and style that no mortal comes close to.
Listening to this new music is sweet, and painful. We lost him way too early. He started a music revolution. I can only imagine what music would be like today, had he lived a full life.
Now, you have to dig around to find good music.
