    The delay starting is due to the drive by wire accelerator. This can be fixed by getting an electronic gadget that changes the electronic response time when the accelerator is pressed. How do I know? My VW Touareg has the same system and I have the gadget. Costs bugger all.

    You can pay a $1400 package for 3 years of servicing, which means you know with confidence that the dealership you take it to will perform the barest minimum of maintenance they can in that time, whilst simultaneously attempting to up sell all manner of services that are additional and expensive, while deflecting what is actually covered in said package. Value plus.

    • @christonacrumpet3922
      @christonacrumpet3922 4 года назад +2

      R Soul the only things that they are going to try and up sell is tyres, brakes and wipers, that is if they require them. All other filters and fluids that are due in that time is covered in the service pack. Bmw has The same thing and is well worth it if you were planning on servicing at the dealer.

    • @rsoul7282
      @rsoul7282 4 года назад

      Chris Povey sure, they will never push injector flushes, A/C disinfectant, paint protection, wheel alignments, and all the other shite that dealers profit from. I totally believe you.

    • @christonacrumpet3922
      @christonacrumpet3922 4 года назад +2

      R Soul mate I do this everyday, w/a and rotate and balances are only recommended if there is excess tyre wear or if the vehicle pulls in a direction, if there was a problem with the fuel system and good fuel is used there would be a complaint or fault with the vehicle, so warranty repairs would be carried out. Same with A/C. When a vehicle’s in warranty, dealers want to find problems and rectify them under warranty as they get paid by the manufacturer. Either way if an uneducated person wants fries with that... it’s up to them

    • @rsoul7282
      @rsoul7282 4 года назад

      Chris Povey you are aware that the rates they get paid for warranty work are less, and manufacturers have people who’s job it is to investigate dealerships claims and knock them back, aren’t you? Warranty work is not as good as retail. I have worked at, and been a customer of several different marques, and had various levels of competence when on the side of asking others to do the work, but the overriding theme I have always encountered is they will try to sting you when they think they can.

    • @christonacrumpet3922
      @christonacrumpet3922 4 года назад +1

      R Soul yes, but if it’s genuine then it’s as good as paid for, customers don’t have to spend a cent more than what the service pack has already paid for. If you have been suckered into paying for extra things than that’s on your Ignorance. Say your complaint is that your a/c smells, the dealer would rather bank $400 from an a/c drain than sell you $60 in an a/c sanitizer. Of course they have to try and make money, when you go to a clothes shop they always try and sell something extra at the counter or a doughnut at the 7-11, it’s a business. Dealers around the country are doing Videos for customers, showing tyre/brake measurements and showing reasons for quoted repairs. If that’s not an effort to be transparent than I don’t know what is.

    I test drove one yesterday. South Africa only got the 1.5T motor late in 2022. I cannot see why I should buy this over my VW Polo Vivo GT 1.0 TSI. It's much more expensive.

It is one more thing to worry about actually..With an electronic handbrake, you just put the car in D or R and drive off, and when you park it is automatically applied. You essentially never touch it, unlike a manual handbrake. I would say it is actually more reliable than a manual handbrake.
