- The video shows traveling and freight train ride from Beograd to Kraljevo (West and Central Serbia). Freight train ride was realized by two locomotives of private rail operator "Despotija d.o.o.". It was an empty freight train with wagons for transporting bulk cargo and stone aggregate.
Two locomotive train traction takes place on the demanding and difficult hill and mountain sections of the Belgrade - Bar railway line, between Valjevo and Kosjerić. One of the locomotives stays in Požega and further train traction is achieved by one locomotive. The locomotives used to pull the train are 441-414 (four-axle ASEA electric locomotive) and 461-105 (six-axle LE 5100, Electroputere, Craiova, Romania). It was empty freight train of less than 600 tons and train ride from Belgrade was started by a four-axle locomotive, with the second locomotive which was switched off. The total train mass pulled by the first locomotive was around 700t. When the ride along the Valjevo mountains started, at the maximum slope of about 16‰, poor adhesion conditions appeared. Under such conditions, one locomotive was not enough for train traction and the second locomotive was started. It was a double locomotive train traction during passing the most critical section on the line and further traction was continued with one locomotive again.
In some of the previous videos, the ride along the famous Belgrade - Bar railway line was already shown. In this video there is an overlap in the section between Beograd and Požega, but the rest of the ride shows the line Požega - Čačak - Kraljevo - Stalać, at section from Požega to Kraljevo. On that section, the railway line passes through the famous Ovčarsko-Kablarska gorge, as a particularly interesting natural entity. There the train passes through 10 tunnels and over several large bridges over the Zapadna Morava river.
On the whole journey from Belgrade to Požega and further to Kraljevo train passes several hill and mountain passes, canyons and gorges, through almost 60 rail tunnels and over dozens of rail concrete and steel bridges. The beautiful natural and scenery surroundings on this trip make a pleasure to travel and watch the whole ride by this freight train.

I am 80 years old and these train cab views in various countries allow me to continue my travel adventures from my armchair. While I watch them I open google maps and trace the journeys using internet searches I can research all the places that are passed through. Hi from New Zealand, i like your cab ride videos, the countryside is quite beautiful, some parts look like the countryside here. Only the main cities are electrified, the goods trains are diesel powered. And only 20% of goods are carried by rail. Trucking firms dominate here. The tracks are narrow gauge, so the train speeds are no more then 80kms hour. There is an interesting rail feature here, on the north island, called the Raurimu Spiral, overcoming a 139 meter height difference.

Oh, my favourite places! I stayed in Cacak and Kraljevo, I visited Ovcar-Koblar gorge (only 4 monasteries - rather difficult routes here). And moreover I traveled from Cacak to Ovcar Banja by train! Greetings from Russia
Nice stop at 21:00. I can tell you've done that a few times before, haha. I run freight trains in America and I like to do it the same way, but my trains are a lot heavier so the braking begins a bit sooner than that.

Excellent video as usual. I was really quite surprised by the generally good condition of the track. It appears there is a healthy amount of bulk products moving over this line which might account for the good track. I certainly appears far superior to the Belgrade-Nis main line.

Bez sređivanja barske pruge vreme putovanja bi bili neverovatno dugo. Pa i kad se sredi vreme putovanja bi bili omalo duže od atuobusa na istoj relaciji. Jedina prednost je cena i moguć produžetak do Novog Sada.
@@ironfoxzone2252 sve to u redu, ali piše da je ovo ruta od 207km. Znači uz brzinu putničkog voza od 120km/h putovanje bi trajalo oko 2,5h. To nije Predugo po meni, a ni busom ne moze mnogo brže ako se zaustavlja na više stanica. O ceni i komforu neću ni da pričam.
@@ironfoxzone2252 Da se ja nešto pitam pruga od Subotice do Preševa treba da bude za brzine od 200km/h, kao i deo od Stare Pazove do Šida. Ostale pruge u Srbiji treba da se elektrifikuju i osposobe za brzine od 120km/h. Mislim da bi to bilo sasvim ok i da bi ih ljudi masovno koristili.
@@slobodanmisic2714 Nažalost brzina od 120 km/h ne bi bila moguća zbog geometrije koloseka. Jednostavno su radijusi krivina građeni za manje brzine zbog terena kroz koji prolaze. Barska pruga je većinom od 70-100 do Valjeva, posle Valjeva je do Samari 70 km/h pa se povećava do Požege na 100 km/h. Od Požege do Kraljeva je konstantno 80/100 km/h. Ovih dana baš radim predlog reda vožnje i mogao bi voz KV-BG za 2 i 45 min sata, a ČA-BG oko 2 i 15. Nažalost zbog dužine trase najviše može 3 polaska po danu po smeru od kojih je možda 1 trenutno isplativ (ka BG ujutro, ka Kv uveče)

...well done master; extraordinary landscapes and a well-placed camera. It is unfortunate that the "economic tiger" of the Balkans has electrified railways where the speed is limited to 20 km/h and 207 km are covered in more than 4 hours!!! It is unimaginable that nowadays safety signaling works half-heartedly or that there are unprotected railway crossings...

Спасибо за интересную поездку! Небольшая просьба: можно высоту над уровнем моря другим цветом (голубым/синим например) подсвечивать? Не всегда заметна глазу на фоне гравия/щебня на станциях.
Гледам ову нашу железничку мрежу, и просто ми је невероватно да ми и након сто година нисмо у стању да направимо пругу Ваљево - Лозница.
