- There is more to this story but a section of the video would not upload. I thought they were rescuing someone on the river because when I was walking the dogs, there were 2 empty kayaks on the shore. I called out but nobody answered so I assumed they were doing a rescue. They were just practicing for fire season. Don't worry, no fires.

My sister lives in Florida near Orange groves. We always sleep with the window open to smell the orange blossoms.😊
Be careful with wild mushrooms because 4 or 5 mushroom experts die each year from eating the wrong mushrooms. We don't want to lose you!

I never had fun flying while serving in the USAF in my younger days. I couldn't see anything, and the turbulence keeps you in constant state of prayer. It is anything but peaceful.
Years ago, as a civilian, I had a chance to go up in a private helicopter. I really enjoyed seeing the land below and the rivers. I gained a new appreciation for aircraft. I would take a helicopter over a plane any day when it comes to flying.
I so miss my nature walks. I have lipedema in my legs which makes it very difficult and painful to walk. I'm being evaluated for therapy this week and will hopefully get some new compression garment options to make walking a little less uncomfortable. Now that it's starting to warm up here in Illinois, I long to get outside!

I too like the walks. I absolutely hate summer and I’m much happier in winter. I live in rural country Australia in a severe bushfire area so we get to see the huge helicopter water tanks using the dam to fill up and when they fly over my house they’re so low you can see the guys. It is amazing to see and never get tired of it. You would love the walks you can do here as you have both country and blue water paradise views with hundreds of different walking tracks and mountains to choose from, just have to watch out for the male kangaroos and the snakes 😅

Consider geting an elastic leash witch can be attached to a belt, this way your hands are free while you walk. It is so mutch comfortable

Terriers are scrappy little guys-they have boundless energy,and they DON'T quit for nuthin!They probably slept well though,after that walk!

we use to go to Woodson bridge when I was a kid for family reunion picnics my uncle took his boat and we would ski and ride up the river. I live in Roseville if you are familiar with it and have family in Los Molinos.
I dislike the summer here in the tropics, Australia it is too hot to do anything…the other seasons are far more pleasant….it has only just got down low enough in temperature this week to sleep without air conditioning….mid April!

Your roses will likely flower well after theyve been pruned. You may not need to replace them. Borrow a library book to check out how to do that, or puck up a book in a yard sale or thrift shop. Greetings from NZ.
I love the smell of a gooseberry plant blooming. We're talking Garden of Eden smell.
Hearing the describe the smell of fresh cut grass, orange trees and rose bushes are mailing me so envious 😔 I was brown in Bakersfield and grew up in Los Angeles. We would go visit family in Bakersfield and remember all those beautiful bountiful fields full of fruits and vegetables, cotton etc…. And my dads flower gardens and vegetable gardens in the summer. I live in the Texas plains now and it’s so dry out here, its either too cold or too hot. If you have a nice day out don’t get comfortable because the high winds will kill that day for you. Plains full of boring wheat and alfalfa or sorghum 😅. Whenever I go to the supermarket and I see tomatoes with the vines still on I make sure and take a big sniff, it reminds me of my dads gardens. Can’t grow any fruit trees here because this climate will sure kill them. Still trying to convince the husband to move back 😅
I love walking too! My female yorkie always needs to be ahead of the male, girl power lol. They run back and forth too trying to see it all, my daughter says they are on a sniffari, lol, Love the videos 😃

As someone who moved to New Mexico from South Dakota 4 years ago, I completely agree with your statement about the smell of fresh cut grass, leaves, etc. I get it! But the sunsets are great.

Oh the scent of the orange blossoms...yes! My family stayed across the street from an orange grove in Florida one year and that scent hung heavy in the morning air. I found myself constantly taking deep breaths to take in the scent. I just couldn't get enough.

I live near an army base, all last week they were doing training with their hueys above my house (announced in advance to the community). Made it loud working from home but man was it cool!!
Try a hot air balloon. No shaking/vibration, no noise, no wind, great views. Nice and peaceful.

I'm totally with you. I'm 52 and I've been on a plane about 6 times in my lifetime. The last was 2015 when I took my youngest daughter to Florida to visit Grandpa. It was absolutely horrible. I hadn't been on a plane for years and I chose Allegiant to save money. We are both claustrophobic. I'll leave it at that. We had a HARD landing and had to hold on to the seats in front of us for dear life. Then we waited almost TWO hours for a gate to open. They cut off the air conditioning. For two hours. I take meds for anxiety disorder with agoraphobia. I took several more to get through it. I was so close to a full panic attack and I'm on a heart med for arrhythmias and SVT, superventrical tachycardia. And what triggers this? STRESSFUL SITUATIONS. Needless to say, NEVER again.
Oh, my dad used to beg me to go on a cruise with him. I told him I'll do anything on land with him but there's no way I'm getting on a super large floating buffet. I've seen Titanic. 😂😂

Coming from a private pilot (34 years ago. I'm really old) those folks could definitely see you. I love seeing that kind of stuff. Glad you got that close up. Your dogs are cool as long as they are not mine. Anchors to a semi nomad. Also loosing pets is so frigging hard. Maybe in my later years (like next year) I'll get another that may outlive me. Just love your rambling so keep it up. We are like minded and 30 years or so apart. What a shame? LOL
Dang, you sound just like my dad! He is a private pilot too! If you think a dog is an anchor, you haven't seen a horse, lol! It is definitely hard losing a pet, or any animal that is in your care.

Seasickness on cruises is not such a big thing anymore. These days those gigantic modern cruise ships have underwater stabilizers to minimize the ship's rolling when waves are high. It is not like sailing on the Mayflower or in a WWII battleship. If you have a state room near the water line there is way less opportunity for swaying compared to those penthouse rooms on the topmost deck. And going out on deck in the fresh air at the first hit of nausea and staring at the horizon helps reduce the confusion your brain many get when the visual part of your brain tells you the stateroom is not moving but your inner ear tells you the room is moving. All things considered I would much rather travel by cruise ship than by airplane if there is a storm making conditions bumpy.

ANIMAL TRACK - I'm an OLD Boy Scout and you are in California - THAT TRACK MIGHT NOT BE A DOG ??? Talking about being CAREFUL - there are BEARS and Mountain Lions there and you should get a can of BEAR-SPRAY to carry in your pocket on walks (thinking about your PROTECTION ) !! I'm NOT an animal expert but .... wishing you much care ! :-)

Are there any that you could take cuttings from and then plant in your home garden? If so, take ziploc bags w/ wet towels.
