As far as recording something you can’t perform live, hey, I’m sure he meant well or thought he’d be able to tour and perform live nightly and maintain his vocal performance. That is a tough song as far as vocals go 💯 I personally don’t need a band to sound exactly like they do in the studio to enjoy them live, as long as the stage presence and entertainment value is there. He pulls it out a few times and has a brace of some sort on it. You can tell he forgets it's out of his pocket and quickly puts it back in to hide the brace for some reason.
It's just a very hard song to sing. You're comparing a studio recorded take that was recorded multiple times until just right to a live performance which was probably pretty close to the release of this song releasing so they didn't play it as much. This is not me defending TBS bc I like them (I only listen to like 10 songs) it's me defending someone because singing is hard as hell.
This is great but also as a singer gives me anxiety to see how hard they were pushing their voices on a nightly basis out of their ranges essentially. No fucking wonder Adam can’t sing anymore. Fred still can but that’s because he isn’t doing Taking Back Sunday music anymore. Miss this lineup so much.

But nah... one of my favorite bands... def not good live. Seen them so many times that i don't even remember the number of times ive seen them. But out of the thounsands of live performances online there's only one good live performance. But thats how most of us fans like it. Its the garage band era.

And he also writes a lot of his songs on guitar by himself ...he didn’t use his voice properly . That’s why he can’t hit notes anymore live because he strained and ruined his voice from untrained screaming around the first and 2nd album
