Fred was just a better-trained musician than John. Fred is trained in music theory and guitar from an art school. He may not be always as good at lyrics as John but Fred's overall songwriting is more intricate. Sadly Adam never learned to properly sing so his voice is dead.
Man, I know everybody is pumped for the return of John Nolan, but this band is seriously going to miss Fred more than people think. Listen to the two of them harmonize.....he was tremendous live
One of the most beautiful songs in the story of alternative rock, astonishing lyrics, incredible voice, beatiful guitars. Someone can call it perfection ?
Adam and Fred together were something really special. Having john back is great but different, together these two and the rest of the band created two of the best albums ever especially their second the one this masterpiece came from. Of course he'll be missed but we should all be thankful that john came back as no one else could've had the same kind of impact as Fred returning.
This is the best live performance I've heard. Everything is working 100%. The connection between Fred and Adam is perfect, the whole song is perfect. Everything is perfect !
Fred/Adam was by far the best era for TBS. These two together were a force and sounded great, then after one album they part ways? The emo scene was definitely robbed of all the good music they could have produced together.
@@antoniovivcharyukporynets894 Yeah, you're right, I just ignore Louder Now because it seemed to take the band in a direction that I didn't really enjoy as much as their first two albums. Louder Now very much seemed like the result of a struggle among bandmates to find and agree upon a defined sound and direction that didn't fully seem to agree on anything. I almost feel like the end product of this album is what led to Fred's departure, but I mean, I could be completely wrong lol. Just the sense that I got from that time.
Back when I was first getting into TBS I only heard Louder Now. I found this video and fell in love with it. This video/song is the reason I dropped what I was doing and went out the buy there first two CDs. I watched this video before I heard the recorded version of the song and prefer it alot more then the recorded version. Whether this video's edited or not it's still kick ass and my favorite song by them to this day.
you're right........... really cooool live at the first time i didn't believe that it's perfect.........but that was hard music.....isn't it........? lovely adam.....
I don't care if Adam can't hit a high notes now. He still and always will be the best lead vocalist of all time!!! His voice went through a lot and that's the best thing happened in the rock world. 💯 TBS fan here... 🎉 it's nice to look back in their old vids. Wish i was old enough living in their Era..
I saw TBS with my fiancee in SF this past June. With the exception of MakeDamnSure, Adam was really damn good again. He apologized before makedamnsure saying something along the lines of his voice not being the same as it once was and that’s why it would sound the way it did. We chanted “we still love you” at him 🥹 All the non-aggro shit was super good tho.
Why do so many people care whether this is 'fake' or if they've edited it or WHATEVER. who cares? lol this is still really good no matter what they've done to it lol i love taking back sunday :) xx
They are using two different clips, lol they probably did a video recording before and after the show, but used the show's sound recording, but mixed the clips to make it look better..awkward
@@dahomosapien there video is just different clips. The house AUDIO is the same across. Do you even know what autotune does? Lol. There isn't even any pitch correction either. Your ears are clearly shot..
There's no way they'd record audio for a live video separate from a show...it definitely went through post-production mixing but it's not like today's shows where so many bands have guitar backing tracks and their guitars aren't even actually hooked up to the mix...
i've seen TBS live 3 times..but not during any of the times where they would played songs from the second album(twice when john was still in the band and then again when the tour for louder now started)and this is by far a VERY awesome performance
When Adam lazzaras voice was in his prime! This was my favorite Tbs formation especially live. Adam and Fred. The chemistry was insane
Loved Adam and Fred’s chemistry
Fred was just a better-trained musician than John. Fred is trained in music theory and guitar from an art school. He may not be always as good at lyrics as John but Fred's overall songwriting is more intricate. Sadly Adam never learned to properly sing so his voice is dead.
best tbs song ever.
yesss
Go on just say it! Damn right!
yesss
Honestly every song on this album is perfect
Agreed
this performance alone is why I believe Fred/Adam were the best duo.
They were the best duo, but this video and audio are heavily edited. Adams sleeve on his right arm is the most obvious way to see it.
What the fuck are you talking about? How do you edit a LIVE performance??
Bees Dont Exist I guess so
SARAH656 lmao
also on fred's guitar, on 2:24 he is using the red SG, and in all the video he's playing the white one.
10 years and still can't get rid of this song off my mind.
Especially the ending part.
Andanu Trisatya best part of the song.
Same. these lyrics will always be relevant in my life
Same here
@@mrwednesday687 what do they mean?

One of my favorite Taking Back Sunday songs ever, feels so fucking good blasting and singing to it out fucking loud.
this is literally the greatest youtube video known to man.
That vocal harmony in the chorus is AMAZING on this video....Never heard it that good live before...
Best era of TBS
Man, I know everybody is pumped for the return of John Nolan, but this band is seriously going to miss Fred more than people think. Listen to the two of them harmonize.....he was tremendous live
11 years later and yeah, Fred is greatly missed.
A prophet

def autotuned, but great performance.

That time when TBS were pure emo.
This is their best song!

@@shotgunh2o139 where you want to be is their emoest album
Sounds just as good as the album version. They definitely live up their first impression.
man.. its been a while. This song will forever be my anthum.
Pure magic. These masters crafted some of the best melancolic anthems ever made.
Fred can sing John's line's from tell all your friend's but John cannot sing line's of Fred from were you wanna be and louder now.
I come back to this version every once in a while and remember why I liked TBS
I always comeback to this. The best song EVER
fred/adam was killer
I don't think Ill ever come back down. From TBS.
I still can't get over the way he sings "Habit" the first time! I mean, it's beautiful. Definitely gives me an eargasm!
my favorite lineup

autotune definitely, you can tell in some parts but still great live version
