And it's nice to see someone else talking about the same stuff Sam always talk about but calling it a different name or explaining it in a slightly different way, so we understand it's more about how you feel it then what you name it (flip, not flip, chord closure, square, etc). Also this exercise of writing is so incredibly challenging, I need to try it... Great video, Sam!!!
What a lovely lady. She's the sort of talent that has the skills herself but would just push someone else up into the limelight to help them shine while she watches satisfyingly from the sidelines.
Sam is definitely a top youtuber in how he approaches his videos and the obvious knowledge he showcases in each one, whether it’s specifically voice related or sometimes in other topics as well.
I definitely like Mindy’s version better, she accomplished the feel that she was going for with it, it’s a much more comfortable sound, warmer, the story and the emotions of it come through better in her version. Great job Mindy! 👏🏼👏🏼 And you have a Beautiful voice! 💗 I am an ASCAP registered songwriter (lyricist specifically) and I was a dues paying member of NSAI for years, and yes the lyric writing exercises you mentioned are a great way to keep your writing ‘chops’ in shape when writer’s block happens or when waiting for the next inspiration to come. 👍🏼 God Bless! 🙏🏼
