  • A look at a Harman Kardon Aura Airplay Speaker.
Purchased from the Outlet/Refurbished store in the UK - link below.

Here's some other links (be very careful you buy the right model).

    Amazon US: amzn.to/1Tjvks0
Be especially careful with the above Amazon link - the Aura studio model has been listed under the Aura name in error. The refurbished models appear to be the Airplay model.

In my opinion, the Bowers and Wilkins (Go go UK) Zeppelin Air and the A7 are the ones to beat. And to be honest, I have not heard this particular speaker in this review but I recall a similar style of speaker from Harman back around 2008 that came with the MAC desktop, I found it a little under powered. But that could be due to the fact that I'm spoiled by niche audio brands anyhow (as well as some big names, yamaha).

funny I have the speaker to only thing is the mono that it produces is not that good also it has no connectivity with other speakers to stereo for your home is not an option with this this is more of a little radio for your garage or your back porch as for mine it's sat in the closet all year and I'm still on the lookout for a worthy set of speakers that will link together wirelessly

    - What about the tv sound with optical input? Is it good for movies and games?
    - Harman remote app can control all the functions of the unit like changing the sources for ex ?
    - Is there any sound delay when you connect a source via 3.5 mm analogue line in ?
    Thanks in advance

I pretty much never comment on RUclips videos - I just don't really engage with anything approaching "Social Media", but I have to say, I found the Muppet/Puppet sketch at the end of this one hilarious. I really liked the typing method and the fact that it was on such an old and (IIRC) hard to come by Mac'.
Keep up the good work - also the more audio stuff and tear downs / comparisons the better!

Could you say more on how this device actually produces sound? I've never seen such a thing and am wondering if this is something different when comparing it to a normal (coil) loudspeaker. It looks to me it only produces mono sound, could this be correct? I'm not sure how stereo would work on such a small device and when standing somewhere else in the room other than straight in front of the device.
