    Just bought one recently & its frankly astonishing! I listened to it side by side the Zeppelin wireless, B&W having more definition was very cold sounding... Bought the Aura don't regret it one bit! STUNNING REVIEW!

    Nice review, but I didn't quite understand why wouldn't you pair it with your PC? Stereo emulation is not wide enough or purely from aesthetic standpoint (only one speaker on the side vs standard symmetric two)?

    Wow seriously a great review! I don't think anyone has asked about the possibility of bugs and dust going inside the hole at the top. Is there a way to remove the top to clean out the bugs?

      It requires a bit of work but yes one can take it apart unscrew it at the bottom (6 screws) then remove the top after disconnecting a couple ribbon cables, I know because I did this recently to my own

    Really enjoyed the way presented the pros and cons, the review and manner you approached it was a delight to experience and the visual camera angles and subtle moving angle shots were fun to watch. In my humble opinion I give you an high 8.5 out of 10. #salute

    Very nice review. With reference to your closing comments on just it not suitable as a computer speaker. Would it be good as a speaker for gaming consoles like the PS4 and as a computer speaker?

    Im sorry but this review was not my favorite, the multiple panning shots originally were nice but as the video progressed I wanted to see the product but instead the camera kept panning around the edges, I assume to create some sort of allure similar to when designers display an exotic car.
    I would personally prefer to have some shots zoomed out and them maybe focusing in on the design details. Just trying to give some constructive criticism despite this video being 1 year old.

    Bought this on the strength of your review (and cinematography) DragonRiderNetwork! Been using the HK Soundsticks II (aka The Jellyfish) for six years at least, it's been THE best sounding, deepest and bassiest sound system on my TV ever until the amp started buzzing a week ago, all of a sudden. Poor thing, I've kept it on day and night. The buzzing went from turning up the sound to now just about any sound level, so I got this Aura.
    So far in a quick sound comparison, my Jellyfish sounds deeper and fuller, but I haven't yet done much with the Aura's EQ and I've so far only connected it to my Apple TV. I'll need to get the optical cord to have the TV go through it in any mode. I'm interested in getting the deepest, fullest sound I can from Aura so if you've got any advice! Loving the wireless bit, fewer cords always turns me on. It'll go on wifi or bluetooth which is very cool. Looking forward to getting more light shows going on in it!
    Thanks ever so DragonRiderNetwork!

      The Apple TV 1st through 3rd Generation have an Optical audio jack. The 4th Gen. doesn't. Only HDMI. I have a 1st and 3rd Gen. Apple TV and I would definitely use Optical Audio.

    • @Karrenola
      @Karrenola 8 лет назад

      I've got the 4th generation Apple TV. It was rough going at first getting Aura in Bluetooth mode to come on right when I turn on Apple TV. It showed 'ON' with the volume control in the right corner of my TV screen but didn't actually turn on till I went over there and put my finger on the switch.
      I think they've done a couple of bug fixes since then, it now turns on right when I turn Apple TV on. But I have to rely on the Optical audio for the regular TV and DVD player, that still proves to be a hassle as it's not only the 'ON' switch but the volume as well needs me to do it by touch every time. Sheesh. Can't have it all your own way can you.
      The sound of this system is GREAT though!

    Thanks for the great review! I would like to ask you: does it have dual sound, like the HK Onyx Studio 3? (for example: can i connect two Auras at the same time?)

    Just bough this to use with my laptop last night after listening to various reviews then today I came across your review. I wanted to ask why you don't recommend using it with a pc/laptop as if i'm not mistaken, you didn't give any reasons why you came to this conclusion?

    • @DragonRiderNetwork
      @DragonRiderNetwork  7 лет назад

      I don't recommend using it as a computer speaker just because of the design. It definitely puts out great sound but I just see it's use more for putting in a living room or in the center of a room for playing music instead of using it for computer audio. That was at least what I thought.

      Amos X-easy i believe the speaker is not rechargeable and has to be plugged to a power source all the time, you also wont be able to charge the phone from the speaker, hope this helps!

    Hi. I want a speaker system for my future desk. I don't want the clutter of wires of a speaker system with a subwoofer. But I want a speaker system with deep bass. I was looking the Harman Kardon Aura, but then you said that it wasn't good for desktop speaker. Do you have any recommendations that doesn't have a subwoofer and has good bass? Thanks. :D

    • @DragonRiderNetwork
      @DragonRiderNetwork  8 лет назад

      Bose Series 3 Companion 2 speakers are pretty decent. They don't have room shaking bass but are still pretty powerful.

    • @ZacSpyrakis
      @ZacSpyrakis 8 лет назад

      +DragonRiderNetwork I have tried the Bose companion 2s and I found they don't have enough bass for my taste. I decided to go with a speaker system with a subwoofer anyway. Thanks anyway :D

    • @DragonRiderNetwork

      +ThePocketMonster The Soundsticks 3 would probably work better as desktop speakers whereas the Aura works better as a speaker in the middle of a room.
