love your videos. It has been a dream of mine to do the loop for years. But due my wife's failing health , this dream will never take place. Thanks again!!!! You guys are doing a great job.
So great to have you onboard with us! Prayers 🙏 for your wife. ❤️
I'm a 30+ year Jacksonville resident, you did my city proud. Thank you! I'm humbled by your journey, so happy you were able to visit my city.
It's a great city. 😉
I’m in St. Augustine sorry I missed you guys. Hope you enjoyed our town.
Sorry we missed you, too! Honestly, we didn't get to stay long enough to see much. That's why we are planning to do the loop again! 😀
I grew up in Jacksonville; one block inland right after you went through the Ortega bridge... It was cool seeing the city now...
Back in the day, both the Acosta and Fuller Warren bridges were also draw bridges
Thank you. I had read about the history of the bridges there. Quite interesting!
There are always lots of interesting things to see as you travel the ICW. The problem is with channel depth and a big boat. Stay safe folks and the quarantine will end some day. 8-)
😉
I always enjoy it when y'all show the water shots or going underway. I bet all that dredging equipment and the little boats were quite confusing or scary. I love all the bridges.
Glad you are enjoying the journey and coming along with us. Sam
Another great part of the loop. Glad to see no major problems but I feel for you ,Sam, as I would tend to worry about depth and shifting pools. Hope you have enjoyed the extended stay and maybe soon back to the loop.
Fingers crossed! We hope to resume next week. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great trip, brought back a lot of memories. We bought our 44' mv Tollycraft there. It was docked at Ortega Landing right next door. Beautiful marina with the cleanest beautiful bathrooms/shower anywhere!
Hey Larry, if you don't mind me asking, can you tell me about your Tollycraft? It is on my short list of boats and would love to get an owners perspective.
Very cool! Thanks for watching and commenting. Sam

it was nice to finally see you passing through our little city of Palm Coast, Fl
Hi Gary, Thanks for watching. We hope to be back in Florida in a few days! Sam & Rev
What Yacht To Do that’s wonderful news, Safe Travels!!!
He meant to say "Palm Valley"
Thanks for the insight on a tough area.
Glad it was helpful! Cheers, Sam
Love your videos. On this one you mentioned about the tricky area with the current and then up St John River toward Napoleon Bonaparte Bridge. You said that was eastbound but unless I’m confused that’s westbound until you swing south on the river. Keep the videos coming! I’m in Michigan. Usually sail out of Muskegon. Live in the country near Ann Arbor. Hoping to do part or all of the Loop. I’m 73 and semiretired and have been foiled by many life obstacles so far. You two are a very great encouragement, especially in this strange and difficult time. Take care and stay safe!
DOH! Yes, I meant westbound or up river! Thanks for straightening me out! Sam
Jax is great town have family that live there
Very nice city and friendly people there!
There is a windshield spry that will keep your windshield clear...
Cool!
Another great trip, with some adventure!! Loved those homes along the inner coastal. Guess you must be watching the reports on states beginning to open up. How's the trip planning on moving North? Boat shopping yet 😀
We hope to be back at it next week. It does seem like states are opening up and we hope to partake of some of the great restaurants in Charleston. Thanks again for watching! Sam
Wow!! What a range of scenery on this leg you all. Looked like a pretty long day. A question for the Captain, would a little more throttle lesson the effect of the currents on the boat in some of those situations? Sure hat this is the last video of the trip for a little while. Hope and pray all this mess clears out for all of us and you all can get back to the trip. Thank you again for bringing us along.
Thanks for watching my videos and yes increasing speed with lesson the effect of it and some for most cases! We tried to keep a pretty steady RPM so we can feel what is happening to the boat
We didn't see any "spray" so maybe it would be helpful if you clean the windshield before the trip starts
Well we don't film when there is spray. We did a freshwater wash down after each trip. We did get spray as we made the first turn out of the San Sebastian but did not have the camera going. Have a great day.
@@WhatYachtToDo Forgot to ask for a "Bug Wash" when you were in port? :)
I remember the El Faro very well. National Geographic has a good documentary "Witness To Disaster" season 1 episode 6 on that incident. Bring tissues.
Will look that up! 😎
Hope you get to see the old fort in feridena fla
We will put that on our list. We are not going to hurry, just need to get to Savannah and north of 32 degrees latitude before the end of June!
What is the bridge high.on your...georgous boat
Hi Frank, Our lowest air draft is 17' 2"" down to the top of the Garmin radar. Cheers, Sam
have you ever gone to free port, Bahamas ? on your boat
We have been to Freeport, but not on the Here's to Us.
Will you be completing the loop soon?
Yes we plan to get underway sometime next week and complete the loop in the middle to late part of June or at least early July
Have you had any problems with different states for boating safety course requirements?
Hi Joseph, We took the Boat US safety course for both Maryland (where we departed from) and Texas (our home state). We did not find any appreciable difference other than minor state requirements that did not affect a boat our size. Cheer, Sam
Thanks ! Stay safe! Joseph.
To bad your not going by mayport navy base and go by the car ferry
Who knows what might happen at this point! LOL
OMG got hit with ten adds watching this video, that's way to much.
Wow! That is a lot. Unfortunately, we don’t control the ads on here.
