- There aren't many Direct Drive Wheels that are natively supported on Gran Turismo 7 Playstation. I will be trying the MOZA Racing R5 Bundle using the Raslution 2 Converter for Playstation Compatability. I would like to know what is the maximum torque on the ps5 console, for example in Gran Turismo 7.
that it gives the same maximum power compared to PC games??.
it would also be nice to see that you just set all the settings to full so you can see how it copes in ps5 mode, Gran Turismo 7 game
Chris, it will be an interesting review. Does is make you quicker? Maybe you do 20 time trial laps, same car and set up. You would have to alternate between the R5 and G29. Maybe 5 laps on one then switch. As long as you get 20 or so samples, your data might be good. Then, you have to try and address this claim about input lag with these conversation devices. This might be total BS put out by PR people, but it seems to be a common claim. There is an input lag guru on YT, you may have seen him on digital foundry? Speak to him. You would be doing all Moza owners a real service.
Can you explain if all of the signals go through to the Moza wheel when using this adapter? I mean all of the feelings and vibrations for the grip, spin, etc? I personally own a Fanatec GT DD Pro because I knew it was 100% compatible and tailored to GT7 but i am also curious about other wheelbases and wheels. 🙂
They don’t, it’s using the wrong FFB profile and not a DD one.
For the FFB section is it vibrates accordingly on surfaces like chicane (feels like trail of vibration)?.i dont mind the wheel not reach a 10nm but im focused more into FFB immersion. closest example is the FFB from our PS5 Dual shock controller -eg- that trigger ffb, the engine ffb-thats the goal

mostly, how difficult was it to get to work on the. ps5 with gt7 and maybe f1, and any issues with config wheel, my logitech wheel died, and looking to replace it, but on fence i like Moza but i'm not investing in a pc rig

Great, looking forward to it….1:How is the wheel oscilation at midpoint if any?…from road cars to gr1 cars. 2:How’s well does the button config on the wheel work with gt7, all the functions work as they should? 3:The running temperatures for long sessions(3hrs+) and any disconnection problems from ps5 at all. i would like to know how you manage how to get ffb through the res 2 on gt7 i get a limp wheel with just the controls working
I found this sometimes. What works best for you me is to power the wheel base on. Plug into the adapter THEN plug the adapter into the FRONT of the PS5 directly. Let he know if it works for you 👍🏻
Looking forward to the review, been looking to get a DD wheel in the near future. I'd like to know how durable the materials seem, quality of how the button presses feel, etc.

Can you use thrustmaster tlcm pedals with the moza wheelbase and adaptor for ps5?
I’ve not personally tried. But the Raslution 2 adapter has two USB input ports. Check the Raslution 2 website for compatibility 👍🏻👍🏻
The module please. Anything in series or inbetween the PS5 to the wheel giving and receiving signals has to delay things slightly. Is there a noticeable delay? Does it dull the feedback? What is the feedback relative to its competitors? Are we talking G29 levels or quality or Fanatec levels of signal quality? TIA.
I’ll cover this. But right now. I can’t feel any delay at all.
What Wheel/Wheelbase will be shown in Gt7 like when you play with an Fanatec Podiu? And does Moza also have those Settings like Fanatec eg Sensitivity, Force Feedback etc. ?

i ordered the fanatec GT DD combo on the 30th. i got a tracking number today. ordered in the USA.
I was looking at GT DD pro and it has an option for a power adapter to increase to 8 N.m from 5N.m, do you think 5N.m is sufficient or does higher torque make a difference?
I think 5nm is plenty of torque.
I don’t get the obsession with high torque values. From initially testing this R5 it’s more than enough 👍🏻
Are the buttons on the face of the wheel mappable? Does it work with the F1 games?

What if you’ve got a shifter and hand brake can you use that on the revolution 2 on pS5 ?

I am currently using a T300 RS GT with a T-LCM pedal. What i would like to know is the R5 ff significantly better than the T300?
Someone else has said that it isn’t. But I have tried a T300 to know personally.
From G29 to MOZA R5 is a HUGE step.
cool, Id love to hear more about this...Id really like more options for DD with PS5.
my questions would be ...
a) the main question is about how compatible is the 'converter'... does it introduce any quirks?
b) does it supports all buttons / gear shift, pedals (incl clutch)
c) do you feel like the force feedback lacks anything - Id heard talk that some adapter 'clip' the force feedback
d) latency?
e) game compatibility - does it just present the moza as a 'supported' G29 wheel ? will it work with other titles on like ACC , F1, WRC?
Ive no doubt the Moza is good, but my fear is an adapter might introduce some quirks... and you paying 500euro for the R5, and another 130 euros for the resolution2...
so it does add up, which is fine IF it works well :)

How about checking out the Sigma Cortex for simagic to connect to ps5. Ffb quality with the resolution 2.

I have been thinking of this exact combo for PS5 / GT7 play my only question and the only thing that would worry me is if the adapter stops working or sony blocks it then I am out $$. Knowing the risk do you feel this is still an option ? I would rather want to avoid the shipping issues with Fanatec. What wheel does the Moza pop up as in the PS5 ? Are there any setbacks to them thinking it's a different wheel ? Thanks in advance!

It emulates the Logitech G29. It's OK. Not fantastic. Takes some fiddling with the settings in the Moza phone app to get it feeling OK.

@@RRT_NightShifter1 For those in the market for a mix of wheels and peripherals - not currently possible with the native PS5 - I'd recommend looking at the DriveHub adapter. Sure, it allows peripherals only, but there are quite a few reviews on YT, and a dedicated forum for it on Daily Planet. It gets a good rap.
Actually US orders for fanatec are fine now. Got my stuff 5 orders all without 3 days. EU is almost caught up and is averaging 14days.
What wheel do the games think you're using. Can you map all the wheel buttons?
Logitech G29. No you can only bind a few. I use the Moza R5 wheelbase with Ras1ution 2.

The problem with these adapters including the one from Chronus is ”input lag”. There’s no way around it.
I use the DriveHub adapter in between my console and G Pro steering wheel. I do not notice any lag at all. Mind, a more talented racer might!

The Chronus drivehub has zero input lag. Thats a old unfounded rumor that not a single person has proven.

Since CSL DD Ready2Race Bundle (5NM) for PC costs 400 euro and DT DD Pro(5NM) costs 700 euro, I would like to ask if Raslution 2 Converter can be used for the CSL DD also.
Don’t. Get a drivehub. The raslution will make the PS5 think you have a G29 and send you the wrong FFB.
With a drivehub the PS5 will see the Fanatec CSL as a Fanatec DD.
been looking at the R5, but heard the adaptor box doesn't give a good translation for feedback etc. I Take it you are using the Brook Raslution 2.
So would love to know what you think about the PS5 support. Also makes sence to compare to your G29, but would be great to see how it stands up against a CSL DD GT with native support for PS5

Is it only the Moza R5 that's compatible with the Resolution 2? Cause I was actually interested in upgrading from my GT DD Pro to the Moza R16.
I believe it’s any wheel. Triple check with Raslution 2 website though. 👍🏻
You won’t see a benefit with the R16 as the console will still see it as a G29 and send a weak/wrong FFB profile.

Moza R5 is a really good wheel but I have only heard negative comments about it when it is paired with the rasolution adapter.
It seems that if the wheel is paired with the adaptor, it oscillates like crazy - just like g29 but the intensity is amplified. I have never used a moza wheel so I'm not sure as to how much is true. but yeah, I know that in gt7 it reads the wheel as a g29 so i'm not sure as to how the buttons will work. Please try to remap some buttons in gt7.
Can you please do a comparison of how the ff feels on acc both on console & pc. That should be able to tell the difference with & without the adaptor. Or maybe connect the adaptor with the pc as well & see if it feels different.
secondly the rasolution adaptor has it's own issues - once the wheel's firmware is updated, it needs to be updated for the adaptor as well - untill then the wheel will not work which is just a big bummer.
also, please try to catch some slides & see if the dd system is working flawlessly when connected with the adaptor.
I'm happy that at least such an option exists but I think it still a long way to go.
Btw, i'll get the psvr2 next week. 😊 & next I will update the wheel (most probably I will go with logitech pro wheel) & your review can really help me choose & save some bucks as well. Looking forward to the review. ✌
1 more thing, can the adaptor be connected to a usb adaptor or it needs to be directly connected to the ps5.
The issue is it’s using the G29 FFB profile which is rubbish.

Would be nice to compare this moza to the gt dd pro. I saw a lot of reviews of this wheel with raslution adapter and all of them talk about emptiness in the 0 point of the wheel. Also it would be interesting to know how many details of feedback are lost in the adapter.
I won’t be able to compare to a DD Pro. I don’t have the hardware.
It’s because the ras uses the G29 FFB profile which is terrible on a DD.

The big difference is that native support would have the console sending a DD FFB profile to the wheel instead of thinking it’s a G29.
There are only 2 converters out that will allow a non native wheel to use a DD profile.
The sigma cortex lets you use Simagic wheels utilizing the Logitech G Pro FFB.
Drivehub lets you use any non native Fanatec DD and the console will give it the proper one. For example my DD2 shows up as a Fanatec Podium DD.

I use the Moza R5 wheelbase with Ras1ution 2 for GT7. It's OK. Not brilliant, just OK when you manage to get the setting covered in the Moza phone app. The thing is, it emulates the G29, so you can only bind a few buttons for the MFD and camera angles. Be nice to have PS compatibility. On the plus side, it's immense on PC with ACC and Le Mans Ultimate.
Ah very good. Did you need to update the ras firmware?
@@Doughtinator not as yet. There are times when there's zero FFB, so I have to disconnect the box from the cable and reconnect to get the FFB. You'll also need the Moza phone app to get the best out of the settings for a decent feel.

I think you’ll find my review very useful. Do you have any kind of pc you could use? (for firmware updates for example)
This will probable be the critical factor as so far I think it’s important to be able to update the adapter firmware via a pc.

I'm excited to hear what you think, Chris. This sounds fantastic, and the answer to probably the biggest complaint that PS consoles have.
Aside from quality of FFB and the likelihood of clipping occurring at high FFB levels (only to be expected at this price point, and not a biggie as far as I'm concerned), I have one question. The adapter you use is to make the wheel compatible with the console. I use a DriveHub adapter from Collective Minds which enables me to use peripherals, but NOT wheels, with the PS5 (it has the added benefit of unleashing the full 11nm of FFB on the Logitech G Pro, an outstanding wheel).
I'm wondering if these two products could be used in tandem to allow ALL combinations. I'm thinking it would be possible. If that were the case, Sony may be forced to provide access to their console to wheel and peripheral manufacturers at a more reasonable price. By the way, you could do a similar test to this for the DriveHub adapter.
