Add a pressure relief valve to release excess heat/pressure to prevent a pressure failure. Good job!!!

This is one of those things I've wanted to build just because it's a fun project that I'd get some practical use out of. So far we've been using a packable solar shower with good results.

Those packable solar showers can be nice! I remember having one as a kid. The rooftop reservoir is nice though, so you don’t have to worry about filling up the bag once you get out there.

My suggestion is to add a ball valve at the water fill port, so you don’t have to keep using thread tape after every fill up.

Something you should do is de-burr the PVC pipes after cutting it to avoid getting the small pieces in your sprayer nozzle. 😎👍

Patience is a virtue. Here's to doing it right the second time...or third time! 😊 Love the concept of having hot water on the camper from solar heat gain.
How much water does it hold?

Thanks Mark! You’d think this would hold a lot but it is actually not that much. Just about 5 gallons.

Nice work! Fun to watch you problem solve. I've been tempted to make one of these myself - exact same reason...the dog. Ha ha. Thanks!

Thanks! It's hard to want to snuggle up to the dog or even let her in the camper when she is all muddy. I need to get a mat for underneath our awning so she has a place to lay down after I've given her a bath, but before it is time to hit the hay.

@@FunkeAdventures Ha ha. Facts. How about a heated leaf blower as a doggy hairdryer as the next project?! I've joked about that with our dog. The family doesn't think it's quite as funny though. It would be fast and warm.

@@OverlandTrailer i feel like that is the only way we could dry our dog fast enough. Maybe just one of those battery powered ones. Just don’t know how you’d heat it. Haha great idea though!

Make a rubber seal or gasket to fit into the fill cap. Problem solved!

Who needs to spam reddit once when you can spam the same video to the same group over and over?

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry, I actually didn’t realize I had already shared this in the subreddit. I know the subreddit is for sharing and discussing different aspects of overlanding, including the builds. I enjoy sharing my builds with others and love seeing other people’s stuff as well. Sorry if it felt like I was spamming, not my intention at all.
