  • Had to recover a rental jeep from the Gold Bar Waterfall. Our intention was to repair in place, however not having the proper lugnut socket meant we had to carry it out. Took it to the shop and replaced the axleshaft and balljoints.

Agreed... the fact that the Jeep driver wasn't present when Rory arrived lead me to believe that a trail fix wasn't gonna happen... even if Rory had the tool to remove the lugs, he wasn't expected to get it working enough to have it drive out.... Seeing how torqued over the wheel was from being pinched by that boulder (it looks like it was rotated at least 30 degrees along the axle from where the knuckle lines up) it was a Tetris puzzle just getting it un-hung in the first place (when that boulder loosened up, my mind went to that James Franco movie... take care Rory)
Regardless, what's important to know here is that Trail Mater is a mobile repair shop for high end crawlers... and this crawler was proper jammed up... I typed out half of this shit before I even finished watching the vid... that's how excited I get for this content...
To detect the cause of these problems from the forensic evidence you were provided was like watching the Sherlock Holmes of overlanding mechanics. You had that shit figured out at the first pan of the camera. Truth.
Good to know there are innovators like you out there keepin us inspired. For real, if the shit hits the fan, I wanna be on team Rory.
I really have no idea what I'm talking about... just enjoy learning from this channel... thanks for the content man

I love Sean’s sense of humour. I have Salish friends who delight in double meaning witticisms. When I see them standing there grinning from ear to ear, eyes twinkling, then I know I have missed the other half of the joke and they are waiting to see how long it takes me to tumble to. If I don’t get it in a minute or so they will let me off the hook with a hint that makes it even more hilarious. I look forward to more of such from you guys.

I really like some of these new camera angles. The suspension cam and the boom cam this time around. Also, I was wondering if the trail was really pinched on the other side when you ran up on the rock and then right away you explained it was good luck to run over the goonie bird's toes. I appreciate the effort to improve our viewing experience. 👍👍
