    I believe I'd think twice before venturing off-road in a place called Tombstone Springs. "Just turn left left at Graveyard Gulch and then go about two miles past Rotting Corpse Lake and you'll cross Death Sentence Hollow. If that has too many vultures and rabid coyotes hanging around, you can always try For-God's-Sake-Turn-Around-Before-You Die Mesa."

      What I don't understand is why a TRUCK would not automatically turn off that crap when it is put into 4WD. If I'm in 4WD, then I want all four wheels to drive! In what situation is it better for a truck that is losing traction to just shutdown and not go?

    • @chase9119
      @chase9119 2 года назад

      This has put me in 'trying' situations many of time. 2013 f150 - you can turn off traction control, do the 5-10 second turn off turn off Advance trac. (real convenient to stop when you need momentum....) This will get you going straight forward and allow you to control the wheel spin, but any sway to either side it thinks you are stupid and pops it back on. Sad you have to pull a fuse to tell the computer to shut up and take it...

    You guys are super lucky to have gotten that started. I have a 2016 2500 Cummins and had an issue where it wouldn't start at all because it had a dead cell in the battery (even though voltage was good with charging and attempting to jump). No matter how much I tried to charge it, it just wouldn't try and crank with the push button. Had to get it towed to the dealer because I figured something bad had happened electronically and it was still under warranty at the time. Never would have expected a single dead cell to cause that. Well $500+ freakin bucks later at the dealer, I had 2 new fresh new batteries. Very frustrating! Too much technology in these new things!!

    Great compilation of rescues. I think a great way to be able to keep track of compilations is to label them with which beard trim Matt has. Such as Beard Trim 1...later in the year, Beard Trim 2...etc. Helps to keep track of things without giving actual dates or anything that would be "too much info". Just a thought. Love the vids, love the crew!

    I loved that first call. I spent a lot of time in that country as a kid, so this brought back some good memories. Interesting enough, I don't recall ever getting a flat tire while out there in my old Datsun sedan. It wasn't until I got a Jeep that I had a flat tire.
    Of course, I also spent a lot of time in Warner Valley, but that video didn't show the country very well.

      It's easy to turn off on the Colorado. You just have to hold the button down for maybe 15 seconds. He should have done that long before he got into that spot.
      I'll bet he reads the manual to find out how to do that when he gets home.
